Yesterday my cat(Steph) was acting kinda weird and I was worried somthing bad has happen to her. She is getting old(she is 15) and is haveing problems, she can't jump onto my bed, she can't eat or drink, and she used my bed as a batroom( i had to change my sheets after what happen).
I'm scared she maybe sick or worse dieing, I don't know what to do? I don't want to loose her? I feel my heart is breaking as we speak, I need a prayer if you can to make her better and me too.

A common problem in older cats is kidney issues. Might want to check into that.

My siamese cat named Sushi died when he was 19 (RIP). He died of Kidney Failure. I had the same problem with the using the bathroom on the bed. I felt really bed when he died because i wasn't there. He was laying on his favorite chair after I gave him his pills. I ran out to get a few things and i saw him curled up on the chair. I asumed he was sleeping so five minutes later i tried to wake him up but he didn't move. I was heart broken. I now have two new siames cats and i named one Sushi. My other tabby cat Bella gets along ok with them but she hates my 4 other dogs.

P.S Sorry for spilling my pet story on you I just needed to let that out.

P.S.S Sorry if I freaked you out about the kidney failure thing

That's ok I'm waiting to see what happens she is drinking and eating soft foods right now and I bought some joint med to see if it can help her a little. If she doesn't get better by tommarrow I will take her to the vet.

Sounds like the usual effects of an animal getting old. But don't take my word on it, bring it to a professional: Vet.

Well bad new she has a infection in her bladder and kidneys and they want her to say overnight.
I don't know what to do now there are three opoins they gave me:

1. They would flush out her system with will take 5 days in the vets and it will cost $600
2. Give her the meds and give them to her and see if she recovers which will cost $200
3. Put her to sleep

I don't want to choose #3 just yet but my dad doesn't understand how it feels to have a pet sick in all and he is presureing me to do #3 and get on with my life. I just have to wait until tommarrow to see how she is doing in all. I hope she gets better soon if I caught it early then.... Well I just have to wait and see.

I don't want to break your heart, but this sounds exactly like what happened to my cat, Fuzzball (don't laugh >.> ) before she died around the age of 18. She could have been older, but because she was a stray, no one really knew.

Anyhow. She started down the same path. Very lethargic, didn't eat. She had bloodwork done, and they said it was more than likely some sort of toxin build up. We did the vet stay where they flushed out her system, and she came home. After another week or two, the same thing happened.

Eventually, they gave us the option of running IV fluids at home. We did that, holding her down so we could give her the fluids she needed to properly live. That lasted for maybe a month. But again, eventually, it wasn't doing anything.

Finally when she was becoming nothing more than a shell of the cat we once knew, we decided that we wanted to put her down. However, she died at home before we could bring her to the vet. It was best for her to go, though. An old cat, who had seen a good life.

Now, I know that telling you that it might be best just to put her down would be heartless, but if it does become full-blown kidney disease, it might be time. Doing all you can could give her a few more weeks, a month, maybe even a year. But when there's no improvement, or when everything is only affective for so long... well, it's up to you.

The fact that they said she has a kidney and bladder infection does wield hope, though. My cat had a disease, not an infection.

i think you should probably take her to the vet, if your that worried. she might just be aging but you should look into it.

Please don't choose number 3. Number three was one of the answers to my dogs problem but we chose another path and now he is a happy and healthy dog. I will not get into any details but if you would like to know about it read the story Raider my three legged dog.

My cat is also 15. She can jump on bed fine. She sometimes pees on my clothing but when I inspect the litter box after it happens, it is usually dirty. She is very picky on how clean her litter box should be. She is not showing any signs of being old. She is not active as a kitten but she is active in her own way. She can be loud and in my face when she wants something. Sorry about adding my story of my cat here
I hope your cat lives another 5 years. I will pray for your cat. Glad you can take her to the vet.

I recently lost my cat so i can relate i suppose.

my cat died at 11 with a tumour in his bladder ><

We didn't even know about it till my grandad took him the the vets (he was a fat cat)
next thing i know my grandads telling me they put him down, i was gutted

but hey this is your problem, i guess what im trying to say is, it sounds like your cat's probably pretty unhappy with the not eating/drinking much and having trouble jumping.

it'd probably be best for him if you took him to the vets to see if they can give him anything before its too late

If worse comes to worse at least you can say your cat had a good life :)

I'm so sorry, dear. <3 Know your cat is in a better place and she's not suffering any more.
I felt the same way when my guinea pig died last year. If you need any support, PM me. I know what you're going through. I have a cat, too, and I love him so much. I can't imagine what I would do if something happened to him.
you'll get through this. <33

well first of all if you think something is wrong with her you hsould probaly take her to the veternarians(sorry i might have mispelled that) so the doctor can give her a special kind of medicine so she will feel better and you both can be best friends forever :)

I've heard of dogs having to use pee pads when they're really old, because they just can't walk around and run outside and do it anymore. Not sure about cats though.

Take your cat to the vet. She/He could be having kidney problems, stomach problems, intestinal problems, anything. I hope it gets better! ;)

OMG!! I'm sooo sorry that your cat passed!! T-T
