This is VERY embarrassing and uncomfortable to tell, so please don't make fun of me or anything. :/

I'm growing hair everywhere, I don't know if it's hormones or genetic, but I'm growing hair on my face, my chest, back, everywhere. :/ I'm not worried about my legs and arms because I can just shave (maybe shaving is the reason why I'm becoming a mammoth -_-) but it's very embarrassing for me to look in the mirror and see how ugly I am. I used to be a cute little girl. T_T I noticed that some of my Asian friends are growing mustaches but not my "white" friends. (Sorry, I don't mean to be racist!) Is this hormones? Genes? How can I fix this? ;_;

Well, if you have dark hair your facial hair might just be more visible.
There's bleaching cream for facial hair, I think it's called Jolen.

As for more hair growth than usual, I wouldn't know, sorry.

Ah, well, then if your skin is dark(er) as well, the bleaching wouldn't be a good idea.

There are facial hair trimmers available as far as I know, which would probably work.

Also, try like..waxing, maybe? Or the bleach cream. Whatever you do do NOT shave. ever. (except your legs because you already do) But not the face or any other place.

...I think it's just because you have dark hair, love. >w<;;
You can always shave or wax. I don't recommend shaving your face, though. xD

Seconded.

Unless you want to become the bearded woman, DO NOT start shaving it. The best way to get rid of it is waxing or bleaching.

Uhh.. why would shaving make her the bearded woman? xD
It's just unpleasant because of the potential stubble, I'd say, and the inconvenience.

Is it tiny little hairs, or longer? Because of you being Asian, your hair is naturally darker. And we all have that "peach fuzz" everywhere. Some people are lighter coloured, some are darker.

Like I told someone else, it is probably a hormone thing. You probably just have a bit of extra male hormones. I doubt it's because you're Asian. My boyfriend is Asian and he barely has any body hair, and he's a guy. I'd say he has less body hair than most white guys. So I really don't think it's anything to do with race. It could just be that since you have dark hair it's more noticeable. You could try going to the doctor and having them check it out, since it's probably a hormone imbalance and they might be able to do something about it.

-Nods- What thoughtlessamaya said was what I was trying to get at. Having darker hair simply makes that peach fuzz more noticeable.

Here's a suggestion for the hair on the upper lip thing: Don't wax it off. Are you ever exposed to sunlight? (I rarely leave my room, so my skin is usually very pale.)

If your facial hair is visible and you get it waxed, everywhere the hair was will be red for a little while, and then the skin (once the red is gone) will be a lighter color than the rest of your face. It's humiliating and I had a friend that was so embarrassed she was nearly suicidal for a while because everyone was tormenting her about it to no end.

Hair trimmers will also give that effect, but not as bad. The problem with these is that you have to be very consistent with trimming off the hair, because it could grow back thicker.

DO NOT SHAVE YOUR FACE! Tweezing is much more effective. A trick a friend of mine used to use was to only tweeze the darkest hairs on her face and leave the others alone.

You also might want to have some hormone testing done. You could have a little more testosterone (yes, women have it too) than normal, which could be causing it. It's not the end of the world, trust me. And yes, I understand the pressure girls/women of all ages are under to look beautiful, but true beauty doesn't come from your appearances.

Don't worry about it, and most people won't even notice it. As long as you don't act self-conscious about it, they won't even notice it (unless they're one of those bitches that tells you every flaw you have to make themselves feel better, but they strike no matter how pretty you are).

If it makes you feel any better, I get black hairs on the tip of my nose that stand straight up and remind me of rhino horns. They're the exact same texture as my eyebrows, too. So I tweeze them from the tip of my nose, and no matter how many times I do it, it always hurts.

And if I don't tweeze my eyebrows, they'll eat my nose and my eyelids. I kid you not. These are things I'm a little self-conscious about, but only when looking in the mirror. When I'm out in public, I refuse to worry about them, and no one notices them.

I hope you find a solution. I really feel for you. </3

It'll become darker and grow back more. x_O
Maya-It's longer, it's grows unnoticeable and then darkens.

according to Cosmopolitan shaving doesn't influence the length or thickness of hair
but i don't know if that's true, i'd say don't worry about it
everyone has it, it's just not noticeable on white people

if it bothers you that much perhaps makeup could hide it

I know somebody who shaved her face. Let's just say, she is looking into the laser treatment, last time I checked, because it had gotten so bad.

Have you thought about getting your hair removed from threading? Your skin doesn't get as red like it would from being waxed.
I'm mixed with korean, so I hear you on having some THICK asian hair. I get waxed, and do not get red, but that doesn't mean you won't, but I would get something like my eyebrows waxed, see if your skin gets red. If you do, you could always try getting your eyebrows (and other unwanted facial hairs) threaded. There's no heat, or chemicals are involved, so the skin doesn't get sensetive. It is a bit painful, because the person is tweezing your hair with string, but once you get used to it, it isn't so bad. I also have some eyebrow razors to keep it touched up, atleast until I can get to the salon.

Hope I could help :)

It's unfortunate that you have to deal with this. I would definately go see a doctor to see what can be done. Maybe your insurance company will pay for electrolosis. I don't know what long term effects hair removal cream has, but you might want to check that too. By shaving it will cause your hair to grow back quicker and thicker; Please do not shave for your own good. Also people that do not weigh much or have a lot of meat on their bones tend to have more body hair. The body tries to keep itself warm inturn growing hair. Just recently on the news they were talking about a new hair removal product that is now available to the public. It sort looks like the hair removal laser that the doctors have. You run it over the unwanted hair every so often which stunts hair growth. The only reason why I think it works is because it was on a TV news station and not an infomercial. I don't think that your hopeless to this situation. I believe that you will be able to find a solution especially with the new technological advances these days. You just need to persue it. I think seeing a doctor would be your best bet. I wish you the best of luck.

Bramsey-Yup, I'm pretty sure it is because I shaved my legs and the hair grows back darker. :/
Aro-I was thinking about foundation because I don't really want to remove it, just sorta cover it up.
Quid-Threading? o_o I don't think that my mom would allow that.
Dragon-I'm trying to get my parents to take me to the doctor, I don't trust hair removal cream because it might mess up my face. :/ I'm looking forward to when I become 18 because then I can get hair removal laser surgery. :]

Thanks everybody!
Oh, will foundation help cover it up?

It is a myth and I'm not sure if it's true or not. I'm very curious, though.

If it matters I had black hair on my legs and I shaved it and now it's like...dark blond...and not as thick.

I think it's a myth, because the reason it seems like it's growing thicker is that your hair thickens on your legs throughout your teenage years especially, and if you start shaving when the hair just barely starts to get noticeable, then when it grows back it WILL be worse, but it would be like that if you hadn't shaved.

Well for one it sounds like you're starting to go through puberty which is fine. And that will happen you will grow hair. And because you have darker hair it might just show up more than some of your white friends.

I myself am white and I have very fair skin and hair but I do know that if you catch me in the right light you can see a little bit of hair above my top lip...it is blonde though. However, every single girl has that....if they admit it or not, it's there. For some girls it is just more noticable.

Some of the things I can suggest is wax the top of your lip. It's not embarrassing or anything MANY girls have to go through that. Or you could always dye the hair above your lip lighter...like bleach it.

I would recommend against shaving it because then it'll get all gross....but you did mention something above shaving and YES if you start shaving your hair WILL grow back and it WILL be thicker and more rough. That's how it is with everyone.

So in short...I wouldn't worry too much about it. You're just growing up and if you're concerned look into some of the suggestions I've made...

Oh and if you're REALLY concerned when you're older there is always laser hair removal.
