Thank you, Elmira ^^
I use Photoshop's pen tool for my lineart, and I go for the "Fill" method instead of "stroke". What that basically means is that I pretend that my lineart is a shape of it's own. This helps not only with overall smoothness of the line, but also with line weight. I wish I could link to the tutorial where I got the idea, but the website I got it from has by now shut down x.x; It takes practice to get some things right. I've been drawing ever since I was a child and some things are still so hard for me! |
Hmm... I don't really understand what you mean.
If I use the "fill", then it just colors the entire page... |
Hey everyone i though i would pop in. sorry for not being here in a bit...
|
Hiya Sunshine! How's it going?
Platy, I have the PhotoShop Elements, not the full-blown photoshop. It has some drawing stuff, but probably not all of it. For instance, I wanted to draw an oval. It allows me to draw oval shapes, but now an outline of an oval...(at least not that I can figure out how to do) |
things.. are okay i guess. ups but mainly downs lately
anf you? |
I'm doing good.
Sorry you're having some downs... |
its okay. it is not your fault.
|
I mean I fill whatever I selected with the pen tool, to answer Jean's question.
Something like this>> http://alisachristopher.deviantart.c...king-106881028 ? So much sadness in the world D8 |
Oh wow, Platy. Any other web places like this? This is fantastic.
Unfortunately, I have Photoshop Elements, which doesn't have the pen tool that they talk about. I have another program called PhotoImpact, which has some of the tools, so I can play around with that. Thank you so much for the pointers! I need all the help I can get. |
Hello everybody! ^^
How are you all? Seams like you guys do pretty well... =) I've been also busy lately... today I spoke to my prof about my work and there's still a lot to do... I forgot to make all the references, so I have to search all the books I used for them... x_x @Jeanne I think I know what's your problem... maybe I can explain to you what you have to do to get a circle... ^^ Take the circle-tool and make a circle, then make a right click in it, choose the stroke-function and there you can type in a number, which means how many pixels the stroke should have! @Platinum Wow... the instruction you posted is cool! I have to try this! Maybe then I can finally use my scetches without outlining them first! (which means that I copy them first per hand, for what I have to search for my copy-tablet and so on...) |
Hey Aylin.
I've never used any photoshop program so I can't help, sorry. |
Hey Jeanie!
How are you? =) |
Aylin, thanks for trying to help.
I immediately went to the Photoshop Elements program and tried what you said. There is no "Stroke" when I right-click in the circle. It just says "Simplify, or Transform". I really think that it's a case where this "Elements" program doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the entire Photoshop has, and drawing shapes with borders seems to be one of them... How strange. |
Sorry I went AWOL a little.
I'm all right, just got back from a weekend away with my mum, had fun picked out my birthday present and did some shopping and lazing around in PJs. :D |
Is it your birthday? And we missed it?
Happy Birthday! |
Not yet ^_^ November but mum wanted an excuse for shopping plus then she only has to concentrate on what to get my brother. My parents alternate, one year my dad buys the presents the next mum does and it's her turn this year.
|
My birthday is in November too!
|
^_^ Mines on Friday the 13th this year and I was born on a Friday too. :XD
|
Oh, I'm sorry Jeanne that it didn't work! =(
Well... I had Elements once and now I think I know why I changed to the normal PS... ^^" I'm a April-child! Maybe that's also why I love spring! =DD I'll try to remember your birthdays... ^^ |
Mine's on the 8th.
Must be weird having a birthday on the 13th.... |
Its never really bothered me though I can't watch that film Friday the 13th. :XD
|
That's no loss... I never watch those gore films....
|
I like horror films, I made Johnny watch 30 days of night once when I stayed at his. I thought it was mint he says it was scary. I just can't watch them in the cinema, if I watch them at home they don't scare me but at the cinema scares me.
|
Cinemas are dark and spooky places... something may come under the seat and grab your ankles!
|
:gonk: Don't say that.
