It's what we call fizzy drinks here... at least, it depends on where you are in the country.
In Wisconsin, they call it Soda. In North Dakota we called it Pop.
Here in Texas we call it Coke. (Even if it's a Pepsi....)

Oh ok, we just call it whatever it's individual name is except coke and pepsi are the same thing, though his you ask for coke at the cinema they go "it's pepsi is that all right?" they taste the same to me I don't care. :XD

I think they taste quite a bit different.
Pepsi has a bit of a "burn" to it... my hubby loves it.

I don't see the difference but I don't really drink it that much. Less now since I gave up fizzy drinks in my attempt to lose weight which kind of collapsed when Grandma died.

I'm not really on a diet, but I'm trying to cut back on sweets.
I'm trying to walk a bit every morning, and I'm eating yogurt for lunch instead of a sandwich and chips. I'm hoping that helps...

Yeah thats kind of what I'm doing, cut back on the crap and do more. I was planning on starting yoga, I have a thing for my DS that tells you how to do it like tells you the positions and things and when you're meant to breath in and out. I just need to stop being lazy and actually try it.

I always thought Coke was the burning one and Pepsi was the sweet pansy. I think it's so weird not to call soda by its name, but instead a brand, but then again most people call bandages Band-Aids and cotton swabs Q-Tips

Yup... they're band aides, which is a brand name.
Just like Kleenex.
I took a yoga class once... my Menier's disease kicked in during one of the positions, and I fell over. The positions make me dizzy, so I can't do yoga.

Do you know what the term "Drinking the Koolaide" means?
As in "He drank the koolaide"

Ding ding ding!
You get the prize!
At work they used it to mean that people were going along with things... not so much that they didn't question it, but they did it anyway...

Vanna sultrily walks onto a stage with a million-dollar smile plastered on her face, uber hair-sprayed blond hair and a smashing shimmering tomato red dress accentuating her plastic body. She waves her hands over a purple-foil-wrapped coins. It's about 3.52 of them that she'll get for replying. She smiles even wider and poses as camera 2 fades to camera 1 on the main host.
I was going to say something to Bob but then I was like, "Wait... isn't she on Wheel of Fortune?" so I looked her up, and she HAS been on the Price Is Right! Look at that! But then again, Vanna never speaks on that show... although, I think she did, like, once.

:XD Woo.
I'm only up now because my mobile phone company rang me to confirm I wanted to cancel my contract and try to convince me to stay. It's slightly weird waking up to the count duckula theme.

Very good, DeLish!
Gee, I wish my mobile company would call me up... but they probably don't want to remind us that we're paying more than they're currently advertising...

They only rang me because I e-mailed them saying I wanted to cancel my contract, they're making me go one month into a new contract to get more money out of me because I didn't know when my contract finished and they didn't ring me offering an upgrade with a month left like usual.

Once the 2 years are up, we don't go into a new contract... it just goes month by month...
I don't think the laws allow contracts to just roll over like that here.

They didn't used to but since the recession all the mobile companies are sneaking it into the terms without telling you, except T-mobile who advertise a 30 day rolling contract.
He was offering me a pretty good deal, 600 mins unlimited texts for £10 a month but I've had lots of problems with them and I haven't got a joba nd don't know when I'll get one and running out of money saved so I don't want to get into another 18 month contract.

It does sound like a good deal.
We don't have any texts...
I think we get our two phones, on a 350 minute sharing for about $25 per month.
We've never gone over the minutes. All calls to Sprint are free, so since my hubby and I mostly just call each other, we're good.
Now Sprint is advertising something about all calls to all cells are free. We're going to have to look into that. As soon as our contract is up, we've been considering going to Verizon, since my sisters are both on Verizon.
