As someone who's done summer camp, I worry more about deer ticks and Lyme Disease than mosquitoes and West Nile.

Same here, Heiyuu. Theres huge grass all around my house....
And I have to mow a lot... I check for ticks all the time cuz they're sooo gross. I got bit once and had to take lots of antibiotics. |

Building up your immune system is what it's all about. That's what vaccines are really... just a weaker form of whatever the disease is, so that your immune system can get used to it.
Being in Texas, you'd think I'd get used to fire ant bites, I get so many of them. Doesn't work that way tho. Yuck...let's talk about something other than bugs (virus bugs or the creepy crawly ones). |

I haven't heard of those either though I didn't really read much when I was a kid, except for the one a week they made us take of the schools library and even then it was only occasionally most of them went back un-read. :oops:

I read a lot more now, mostly when I'm on holiday. My Dad hates that because I always forget to take enough books so he ends up having to buy me some. :XD

It'll probably take him a long time to do that though. I'm sort of wondering how many people actually have the patients to wait or if after a little bit they'll start moaning that he hasn't waved his magic wand and fixed everything.
Seems a common trait of some human beings, being impatient and moaning (particularly over here, we moan about everything). :XD |
