You can always find a design you like and have a henna tattoo that way if you don't like where it is it's not perminent. I like vintage tattoo designs better than some of the newer ones. Just have a look round photobucket they have loads of designs.

GeminiKizzy 04-22-2009 06:22 PM

Thanks, HIM, that's a good idea and I'm going to take your advice.

HIM_ROCK 04-22-2009 06:34 PM

You can buy henna kits easily, henna normally lasts 6 weeks. Then if you decide you don't like the design or the place it is it's only there for 6 weeks.

There are temporary tattoo inks you can get but it seems to be pretty much body paint in pen form.

GeminiKizzy 04-22-2009 07:23 PM

I never thought about doing it myself. There are lots of places down by the beach that do it. Although if I do it myself or get someone else with a more artistic flair to do it it will be even more personal which will help my decision.

Thoth - would you do Henna since you don't like pain? If so you should get a ufo somewhere. Seriously, I think that would be awesome. We have a Mii on the Wii named Alien Bob 'cause he is made to look like an african american alien.

HIM_ROCK 04-22-2009 07:29 PM

If it's someone doing it on a stand out somewhere you have to be careful because recently there's been alot more using black henna.

If I ever henna something onto myself I'd print out a picture or find a template and use that to help get the design.

Some how I can't see myself being able to find a template for a martini girl to use. :XD

GeminiKizzy 04-22-2009 07:53 PM

martini girl? LOL! I just had an image of a pink alien holding a martini glass. That should be Thoth's logo!

HIM_ROCK 04-22-2009 07:59 PM

That would be an epic logo for Thoth.

Loads of people have stars, tribal designs and wings tattooed onto them. I'd be different and have something like a martini girl or Bettie Paige tattooed onto me.

Elmira Swift 04-22-2009 09:26 PM

Do you like a lot of the Sailor Jerry-style of tattoos? Those are pretty, very old-school and usually have amazing colors.

DizzyKizzy 04-22-2009 09:41 PM

all I know for sure is that I want something that has horses. I just can't decide what kind and where.

HIM_ROCK 04-22-2009 09:41 PM

Yeah I like the old sailor Jerry style ones. I think it's a shame people aren't getting ones like that done anymore. There are a few models with those style tattoos but they're mostly with more of a modern twist and they're just not the same.

I nearly bought a dress with those style tattoos printed on the material but I didn't have the money on me to get it and I didn't want to borrow money off my mother.

I'm strangly drawn to clothing with vintage tattoo designs on them after seeing Ed Hardy t-shirts.

Thoth Star 04-23-2009 10:35 PM

How many tats do you have elmira? If I ever were to get one it would probably be of a trippy looking crop circle. xD Ok, I'll look into yoruba...Jerry style tats are really cute!

Oh yeah I've had a henna tattoo before, HIM... Thats a really good idea to try out a design before putting it to skin. There's only brown henna... Only if there was one that was like black so it could look more like permanent kind. Good idea, martini girls would be a cute tat.

Yea, I'd definitely do henna again, Gemini. Haha a ufo somewhere... maybe. XD
Haha whats a mii? So its like a digitally animated alien? awesome.

GeminiKizzy 04-24-2009 12:34 AM

A mii is a personalized character on Wii

HIM_ROCK 04-24-2009 07:26 AM

Black henna is not henna at all it's just gets passed off as henna by the people who use it, it's got the same chemicals in as black hair dye and lot of people have been burnt by having one done so they have a scar of the design left on them.

GeminiKizzy 04-24-2009 02:32 PM

That would be bad. If you are going to have a scar might as well be the decorative one of a tatoo and not of being burned by hair dye.

Elmira Swift 04-24-2009 04:02 PM

I have 6 individual tattoos and one half sleeve. Most of the time, I can keep them pretty well-hidden. It's funny to see my son's face when he spots them!

A friend of mine spent some time with extended family in Morocco a few years ago and the women in her family applied henna all over her arms/hands, legs/feet. It lasted weeks and was beautiful! Sadly, there were no UFO designs...

HIM_ROCK 04-24-2009 04:09 PM

There don't seem to be that many good UFO tattoo designs out there. Alot look like they've come off Clip-Art.

Elmira Swift 04-24-2009 04:16 PM

I'd guess that if someone wants a good design, they'll either have to come up with it themselves or find an artist who can.

HIM_ROCK 04-24-2009 04:28 PM

There's probibly better designs on other sites than the one I'm on any site would probibly have better designs than the site I'm on.

There are some strange photos on UFO sites some of them aren't even UFOs they're compleatly normal things.

bloodstainedwings 04-24-2009 06:06 PM

hello, i thought i would drop by for some tea. is there a fairie about to take my order? he he, i would like some chai tea if you have any.

how is everyone today? what are we talking about... UFO's? umm.... well i guess anything can been an unidentified flying object if the person who is seeing this flying object cannot identify what it is. really.. superman is a UFO .. you know if he were real. ^.^ but a UFO tatoo... well thats something i have never seen. and i have seen a lot of tatoos.

what kind of tatoo are you looking for more specifically? i eman did you want a flying saucer? or did you have an idea in your head of what you wanted and your looking for a artist who can make it happen? cuz if the second is the case, just start talking to your tatoo artist. they should be able to help you with that. their good for that if you have a good one that is.

Thoth Star 04-25-2009 03:45 AM

Oh I see, Gemini... thats cool. See I don't own a wii. My friend has one though so I've played it a couple times.

Eww, thats not good HIM... forget what I said about black henna. I've only had the reddish brown kind before. My friend did it... she's from pakistan I think.... She did some special design, it was cool. I would think its super hard to catch a ufo on your video camera... they move too fast.

Cool elmira. I'd try having henna all over my body for the heck of it... but than you'd be tempted to go to nudist beaches to show em off. XD lol. ///
There's lots of beautiful crop circle designs... I like the one that looks a lot like a hummingbird and it kinda reminds me of those lines in peru... one was of a hummingbird. They were similar.... strange.

Hello bloodstainedwings! ^^ I can bring you tea. *gives you some frothy chai tea*
I'm drinking milk mango tea with tapioca pearls. yummy!
UFOs are such blunt objects... I don't know if they'd make the best tattoo...Yeah I think people see ufos all the time and don't realize it...
I'm not sure if I'll ever get a tattoo... I was just thinking a crop circle tattoo would be cute... or a unicorn. lol. XD

`Kitami 04-25-2009 06:40 AM

I found some tea in the back of the cabinet. o_o
Peppermint/chamomile. I think I'll drink it later. >_>

DizzyKizzy 04-25-2009 03:05 PM

Your right, Thoth, crop circles would be a better pattern for you. You can get something simple or intricate - much more in the way of choice.

Elmira Swift 04-25-2009 04:35 PM

I have a friend who wanted a labyrinth design and kept looking at the crop circles/designs found in Peru. I think she eventually gave up on the idea - not sure why. But, I bet it would look pretty primitive, sort of like the caves that have prehistoric drawings on the walls.

HIM_ROCK 04-25-2009 04:39 PM

There's loads of different crop circle designs so it'd be pretty unique to have a tattoo like it.

Elmira Swift 04-25-2009 05:13 PM

The labyrinth design she chose is that really famous one that was on a cave somewhere in Europe. Y'all are inspiring me to look into getting another one on the back of my calf.
