Lucky duck, princess. Have fun at your parties!
I have a story to share if anyone is interested... Sooo my dad lives right beside a redwood national park... really isolated... no neighbors... Anyways, we like to go outside and with the telescope look to the stars and look for asteroids, satellites, planets, constellations and the occasional ufos... I'm more passionate about it than my dad. I would do it every single night. So one night I'm on the deck, staring through the telescope and thinking to myself "This is soo boring! Nothing but stars..." It started to get really cold and I could see my breath and my neck was tingling... you know that weird sensation you get when someones like staring at you? And I thought it was a mountain lion giving me that feeling so I turned around to go inside the house.... And wham! Right above our house was a ufo... just hovering... and making this low vibrating noise, like static but with a weird rhythm. I thought my heart would stop, I was so freaked out! The lights kept getting bright and than dimming... over and over and over... I must have stared at it for a good 5 minutes and than it just shot up into a cloud right above our house. I was so shocked I just stood there for another 10 minutes shaking... Later when I told dad what had happened he didn't seem to believe me.... I mean, he believes in aliens and the paranormal but he couldn't believe that a ufo was right above our house. |
That is awesome, Thoth! You were looking for them and they were watching you - pretty funny. Too bad they didn't try to communicate with you.
|
Thoth's story backs up the random interweb quote I found.
Quote:
Where they come and look at us every so often to see if we're doing anything interesting. |
That episode of the Twilight Zone was on the other night. The one where Roddy McDowell plays an "Earth Creature" in an alien zoo. Not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it or anything.
|
Yea, I know I wish they had called out to me with a loud speaker, gemini... XD oh man, that would have been awesome! Aliens sometimes communicate with abductees... and even though I was so close to it I could have reached up and touched the side of the craft I don't think they would ever abduct me or tell me anything special but ya never know.
I love that quote HIM! Its soo true... Either the aliens are very bored or they know something big is happening with our planet... they know about the changes and maybe they're here because they also know our species is near extinction and its like a huge, alien zoo where aliens can pay good money to see the weird humanoid creatures of earth. XD I totally remember that episode, Guivre... thats one of my favorite twilight zone episodes. hehe. And I think it might really be like that, except instead of cages we're here roaming around with them watching and waiting. |
I just looked it up and found that that episode was called "People are Alike All Over."
It's funny how many Twilight Zone eppies dealt with aliens and various theories surrounding them. One of my most favorite Twilight Zones was the one that implied the alien astronaut theory, though it was a bit cheesy in execution. |
You mean with the Garden of Eden? I find that a lot of the Sci Fi written in that period dealt with the stress that a lot of people in the US were feeling because of the Cold War, so there are frequent overtones of issues like religiousity, alienation from within the group - like from McCarthyism - and what defines patriotism. I also found it interesting when they'd tackle identity issues within the group - like the episode with the girl who didn't want to have her mind implanted in a cloned body.

Hello everyone.
|
Hello, Kukon.
Thoth - maybe we really are a zoo for aliens and the ones you met were on a special up-close photo tour. ;p |
Hi guys!
That is so cool Thoth! Maybe they sensed somehow that someone wanted to see them? I really think that something is going on because there have been more and more sightings of people you would think wouldn't say or believe in them. Maybe they are trying to stop us from killing ourselves by nuclear war or whatever. I dunno why they are here... but hopefully it's for the good ya know? As I read your post and wrote this one I had The Carpenters song Calling All Occupants running through my head... lol. |
Um hello everyone i here there are strange happenings going on or well i would like to know of them anyway
|
True that, Guivre... They take whatever is paranormal and run with it and since there's so many alien/ufo stories all over the world it was a good idea to commercialize... whats the alien astronaut theory?
Thats really trippy, elmira. There was lots of ufos flying over soviet union during world war 2... many of which were attacked by jet fighters, so that might have also gave them the idea. Hey kukon hows it going? Haha good idea, Gemini. XD They must have been thinking "what a goofy looking specimen! Get out the cameras... don't get too close, it bites." *nod* I agree, Macsen... I hope their visitations are of good tidings with our species... and not of future self destruction. I also believe in ESP or the ability for some humans to use the "third eye" by seeing beyond what is in front of us and I think aliens have that ability... and their ability to use the third eye is a 100% times more efficient. On several occasions I've been outside thinking "it would be really cool to see a ufo right now!" and one suddenly appears... of course this is usually when I'm out backpacking which I do alot cuz I love nature... sooo I think you have to get away from satellite reception so they can better read your EMF brain waves. *shrugs* Haha nice song. Hey fakesunshine! Yep, paranormal is awesome... I wish to better understand this type of phenomenon too. what type of paranormal stuff most interests you? |
The spirits. Those that have passed from this world really interest me.
When i was small we were supposed to go to my grandmothers grave site and pray for her, back then we did so every year but that year we couldn't go cause if massive rain thunder lightening and flooding. All of which i was afraid of.. Well except the rain. But later that day our door opened out of like nowhere (mind you the door was like triple locked my mother is quite paranoid about the door needing to be locked) and lights flickered and stuff. There was no real wind coming in from the door but there was a lot of wind outside. I have reason to believe grandma was expecting up and when we didn't go to her she came to us. I also know, or well feel like you cant really be sure. there is something in the house on the daily basis its small and i get chills in any temperature which i blame on that something. Im working on locating an old fashion Polaroid camera to try to locate who it is. I believe also in other life out side our planet, Aliens, Granted to them i bet we are the aliens that aren't as smart as them were inferior |
FakeSunShine - usually spirits are too busy to come back and visit but loved ones find way to visit those they left behind. I bet your family was really bummed out that they couldn't go to the gravesite and your grandmother sensed that so went to you instead. My grandmother is passed away as well but she still comes to visit.
My dad's mom passed away before my son was born and my son was only a couple years old when my grandpa passed away so he doesn't remember him well. My son was playing in the living room one day and told me he was playing with grandma and grandpa. I had him describe them to me and it was my grandparents from my dad's side. That made my day because I hated the fact that he didn't get a chance to know them - well they came to him anyway. |
Gemini: I don't know if it really was her but i do know one thing. That door was locked triple time no wind was going to open that. and all the family was inside the house so it wasn't one of us who did it.
that's pretty neat that your son did technically get to meet them that's actually really amazing that he described them perfectly How old is he now? Does he still play with them? |
My son is 6 now and if he plays w/them he hasn't mentioned it.
|
Thoth I love your signature! But then again..I would!
|
Elmira -- that's the one.
Thoth -- the alien astronaut theory is that alien astronauts visited earth during ancient times and influenced the creation of civilization or even man himself. For that eppy I'm really kind of attributing it to the theory loosely, but considering the idea was not all that popular yet, I think it's apt. |
@sunshine: Spirits are fascinating.
I've heard stories like that before... And I really do believe that some spirits do reach out to us out of loneliness and curiosity. Sounds like your grandma really loved you. Yea, for aliens we're a pretty dumb bunch. lol. My dads house is haunted... We took pics sometimes in the house and there would be like orbs near the roof... I couldn't think of how other to explain it rather than a ghost. I was just reading in this UFO book that many homes that have alien visitations are also known to be haunted, so thats really interesting... I wonder what the connection is. I remember when my nana died... that night I had this weird dream where she appeared to me, sitting in this sunshine... with birds around her and the wind was blowing. She just smiled at me... didn't say nothin. Than the next morning I heard that she had passed away... I figured that dream was like a 'goodbye.' @Gemini: Thats a sweet story... Its good that he got to meet your grandparents, even if it was in spirit... I believe some family members come back to see how everyone's doing. *nod* @Daria: Thanks! ^^ I love the old daria show. She's soo cynical... kinda like meh. hahaha. I wish it was still on tv... it might still be on nogin but I dunno. @guivre: I believe in that theory too... I mean, I think the aliens had something to do with the mass production and architectural design of the many pyramids that show up all over the planet... Also, there's many cave paintings of alien-like creatures and flying crafts... suspicious. |
Gem: he must be a looker i bet haha i love kids at that age there so cute and are back to listening to you again you know?
Thoth: I think you might really be on to something there. also what type of camera did you use? id say more but i am tired and am in need to finish answering threads and go to sleep for work in a few hours |
It was my dad's digital camera... and since the lens wasn't in the sunlight, ghosts were really the only thing we could think would explain the orbs... and also, the lights and fans turn on and off, so for a while I had suspected a ghost.
Good idea, where do you work? |
I'm a lame-o McDonald's employee...
