Aww, that really sucks about your 16th b-day, sunshine. D;
I would have kicked his butt for doing it at such an insensitive time.
I'm glad you were able overcome that and you can still see him...
I hope you find a wayyy better bf.

I see HIM... but to become a Jehovahs witness you need more reason than that... You really need to believe. I don't remember many stories either. I'm hopeless. lol.

I'm ready to join anything at the moment as long as it gives me a reason in life.

Hmm, I hope this leads you to more positive thinking... and love. I don't agree with everything the Jehovah witnesses teach, but overall they teach overcoming hardships and love, right? So it should be a positive experience, I hope.

They don't come to my door anymore so I can't join them. I think they finally got the message we don't join religious that come to the door.

Maybe the doctor can do something to make me more possative and give me a top up of the pills I'm already on.

Oh... you can always visit one of their churches? They're everywhere.
The Jehovah witnesses still randomly come to my door sometimes and give me pamphlets...
but the whole thing about not allowing blood transfusions is the main reason I thought they were full of bs...

Aww, don't do that! Pills never bring long-term happiness...

I don't think they have any chruches in my area. My family wouldn't be too happy if I joined them because they really don't have a good name round here.

Pills deffinitly solved one of my problems but that was a last resort seeing as it got to a point where nothing else was working and I ended up curled up and unable to move because of pain.

I've spent 4 years trying to stay happy and possative I had counselling and therapy but that never worked for me so see what the doctor can suggest. I know that if I get put on pills that it'll have to stop some time.

They're kinda criticized a lot in most places, I've noticed.
Probably because people are tired of getting disturbed all the time...
but I actually like that they go around, knocking on doors to talk about religion.
It gets people off their butts. lol.

Well, if its for physical pain relief than it might help...
I remember I couldn't eat unless I had a vicodin pill cuz it hurt so bad to swallow... It felt like I was swallowing glass, but now I don't need them.

Not even being around your friends help? Yea, when you're in a depressed mood I know its hard to dig yourself out... Just give it some time... you'll feel better.

It is true that anti-depressents can help - I'm on them. However, you have to have other tools to keep you from being depressed. You need to come up with a network of people to support you and other ways to keep you positive. I have chemical depression and most people wouldn't know. I do have my bad days...but they are only days - I make myself come out of them.

I have problems with trusting people because I've had friends abandon me when I've needed them most and I've also had ones that pretended to be drepessed to get attention.

I've tried everything that's been suggested as an alternative except for taking St John's Wart because that cancels out the pill. Some of the things worked but never for very long.

Thats awesome Sunshine. ^^
have you met in person?
I've also met someone that I really love on mene... Christa (kita).

Yes, I totally agree with the network of people and support, Gemini...
Thats very important in keeping optimistic about the future outcome.
*nod* Thats good. I haven't been depressed in a very long time. I have an altered perception of life compared to a few yrs ago...

Thats horrible, HIM... I never understood why someone would fake depression for attention... Its ridiculous. I know what you mean tho. I've had friends abandon me before too... but there's always that desire in me to meet new people.
After a while your brain builds up a resistance to chemicals or herbs that might release dopamines in your brain that make you happy. I think the best method is laughter... Just find someone who makes you laugh... Exercise releases those same chemicals too, its the "runners high."

Ooooh a ghost hunting group that sounds like fun Kita. That so makes me want to sing the Ghost Busters theme tune.

One friend did it so she got attention from others because she cut herself off from her family and the other too an online quiz to find out if she was depressed. So really they have no idea what it's like to actually be depressed.

Thats really awesome, Christa. Are you going to an actual haunted house? Scary.

Haha, that song rocks HIM. XD
If its a chemical imbalance sometimes there's ways to create or release more serotonin in your brain naturally... Like by taking melatonin or vitamins like b12.

I love Ghost Busters I used to have the theme song on MP3 but I deleted it accidently.

I've been to see a doctor and I've been put on anti-depressants for a month. It might have taken me 4 years to get there but I finally have.

Yeah, good movie.
Thats excellent, HIM...I think its ok to be sad... So in a way I think many mental doctors misdiagnose people, but depression is all together different.
I want a margarita...

I used to be a big time runner and that helped keep me level without much meds. Only back then I was on Prozac and it didn't work as well for me as Cymbalta does.

I don't know anything about cymbalta or prozac...
Thats good that running helped you stay healthy in body and mind.
I used to be a huge swimmer... I need to start exercising like mad, like before...
Did you do distance runs or sprints?

I did distance. Wasn't into any competition thing - just for myself. Did about 2-3 miles about 3 times a week.
