I have a theory that UFOs like hanging around small country towns.
We moved to a tiny little hole-in-the-wall place this summer, and I have seen some weird shit on the back roads coming home. :/ Also, unrelated but I'm currently reading a magazine article about a ghost hunting team called the MOSO Ghost Hunters. Its interesting, :) |
That sounds like a good plan. I mean theres no way they'd find me in my current underground location.
Sounds like a good article. I think it would be cool to make a Ghost hunter club of my own... I don't have the extra money though for any equipment so it wouldn't be very scientific. |
That's cool, HIM. Haha a sky lantern huh. XD
What you mean Paranormal 2, Gemini? Oh well... I agree, Christa... For some reason isolated locations, like country villages or small towns, seem to have a high-sighting ratio... and in general, tend to have more paranormal shit going on. I wonder why. Maybe, if stuff like that happened in large cities like new york than it would get too much publicity? I don't know. How do they go about hunting ghosts? do they use emf radiation detectors? Haha that's good, nephilia... Ghost hunting usually isn't scientific. Its hear-say and than you find a good location to set-up camp... There's many famous haunted places in the united states alone. |
There are UFO hot spots mostly in isolated locations but some are in larger towns.
|
Thoth - they are movies but very realistic. The second is in theatres now.
|
What larger towns are you thinking of HIM? I mean, yeah they've been spotted in Mexico City before which is highly-populated...
That's cool Gemini, is the movie scary?> |
There's been alot of reports from areas of Norfolk which is in places there's a town or village, which is made up of a couple hundered people then it's several miles to the next one.
There is the odd report from outskirts of cities. |
I totally agree, HIM... when I lived in a small, hick town of 300 people, just south of Crescent city, I would see many UFOs...
Especially, during meteor showers or eclipses. And when I talked to people within the town, everyone had seen a UFO and believed in them. Its funny since I moved to the bay area, practically no one around here has seen a UFO. Strange. |
UFOs seem to prefer appearing to few people rather than the masses, most of the time where there's been a mass sighting it's been a weather balloon.
|
Exactly.... The only time there's been a mass sighting was in Mexico, China, Japan, and New York.
And all those sightings were brief and distorted in the media... Most of the world thinks its obvious that aliens and UFOs exist... Its really only America and parts of Europe that don't believe in them... I've seen them and ever since I saw that one up-close, I've been cautious. I don't talk about UFOs in public, because I don't want to be criticized, since most people haven't seen them. Its freaky when the UFO changes color, from silver to blue... and than flashes light... and than shoots off into space. Crazy stuff// |
Alot of people go by it's a UFO until proven otherwise.
|
I'm not sure about that... I know a lot of skeptics that would probably question even the idea of calling it a UFO...
So I suppose it depends on the person's perspective. |
It seems rather silly to argue against call something a UFO if it is an Unidentified Flying Object.
Unless it's a sammich in which case it's an Unidentified Foiled Object. |
Thats why instead of being called a UFO they should be called flying-saucer, or something more specific.
|
Alot of the drawings that come with the sightings reports do come under what would be called a flying saucer. Which does bring up the question of have they seen one up close or are they just going with the generic flying saucer shape having seen something.
|
I've started calling the things I've been seeing out here recently 'other lights'. Its the best thing I can think of for them.
This last one like a week and a half ago (I think) it was like like this abnormally large golden star unless you actually looked at it, which I did, because I stare at stars all the time. Once I started watching I realized it wasn't a star, but we live pretty near to the airport so I thought it was a plane. But then I noticed see that its size was changing and it was moving sort of in a constant circle. So I had nothing else to do and decided that I was going to watch it. It stayed in the same general spot for like two hours, and then these three similar but smaller lights just popped up around it like a triangle formation, and slowly they'd come together to the big light so it looked like they were all touching, and then they'd move apart. After they had been around for like 10 minutes, they all (with the big one) just vanished. |
flying saucers is silly. I mean just because we've only seen them in shapes of saucers doesn't mean that all ships are indeed in the shape of saucers. At least their spaceships don't look phallic like ours do ;p
|
But we like our phallic shaped things because it's amusing and nature makes phallic looking things anyway I saw a phallic cactus at a garden center.
|
Good point HIM... I think some of those drawings are done by first-eye witnesses, but I think most are from what people expect a UFO to look like, from pics or movies... Its hard to tell.
Very true, Christa, because UFOs at a distance definitely look like bright lights... Or weird-looking fireworks, so the name works. That's sooo cool! I haven't seen a UFO in a while, but that is a UFO you saw! 8D Yeah, they tend to move in circles or crisscross patterns or zigzags. Wow... so technically, you saw 4 UFOs... The mother base and than the minis. super cool// Did you hear anything? A lot of people that see UFOs hear a low, frequency sound... Flying saucers works as a name though, Gemini, because most of the UFOs seen in America are circular... Though, some triangular ones have also been spotted. They have many shapes and appearances, I think. Not to mention, phallic shapes are natural on Earth, therefore, it makes sense. |
It was really pretty cool, Gabby, and actually now that I think of it, there was a strange lack of sound while I was watching the other light. Cause usually, on this little stretch of road that I first noticed it on (its a windy back road that's part of the Old Route 66 and it winds in the middle of this sort-of valley near a main highway, and the land around it is peppered with abandoned mining shafts) there are sounds of distant traffic and sounds of water that's underground and like frog croaks and stuff, but it was totally silent out there at the time. I didn't think about it until just now, but I couldn't hear any of the normal stuff.
Kizzy:: I've seen a lot of weird sky stuff in my life (I probably spend more time looking up than down, which is why I'm rather famous for my clumsiness haha) but I don't think I've ever seen a flying saucer anyplace but on a movie screen. I've seen flying triangles and I've been seeing and have had other people [including former air-force personnel] Unidentified Flying Cigars since I was 2 or 3, but I can't remember a flying saucer in real life...I mostly see weird and/or strange-shaped odd-colored lights though. I suppose the thing that me and a whole crowd of people that were standing in a Wal-Mart parking lot could have counted as a 'saucer' though...but it still seemed more like a scary gigantic light than a concrete shape, saucer or otherwise. This was seen a long long time ago and I think it probably counts as the freakiest, because the more that people started watching it, the closer to us and more obvious it got. :/ HIM:: You can see phallic shapes everywhere lol. There's a big phallic shaped rock by some of the abandoned mines here, and I can't help but wonder if it was formed naturally or if it was carved... |
Nature can be awfully rude at times.
Where I am there's alot of air traffic so it'd be diffictult to tell if it was something out of the ordinary or if it was just air traffic. |
Amazing, Christa... Not even any plane or jet-sounds? Like a calmness in the air?
haha, so even the frogs were freaked out! lol// that's actually a common sign of a UFO, like of sound... Or in some cases, a humming, low-frequency sound. I've had both experiences... the first time I saw a UFO it hummed and I was like "what the hell is that??" But the last couple times I've seen UFOs, they were completely silent. That's awesome, I've never seen a flying cigar shaped UFO... though I've seen video footage of them over Russia. I've seen a triangle-shaped one at a distance, but never up-close... The only UFO I've seen up-close n personal was a saucer-shaped, silver UFO that hovered and hummed a lot. It had Three bright lights on the bottom and it was flashing colors. >< Yeah, same here, HIM... When I saw many UFOs I lived in a country town with few people and fewer traffic.... but now I live in the heart of the bay area in Cali, and there's TONS Of people and air-traffic (planes, blimps; ect), so now I rarely if ever see UFOs... kinda sucks// |
Thankfully it's only a small airport so there isn't too much air traffic but it's better to go out looking at the sky now because it's darker outside and pretty much there aren't any commercial flights, seeing as they've been moved to bigger airports, now it's only the odd cargo plane.
We normally get a hairycraft going over about once every hour and a half. |
Really, its lucky that my family believes in unexplained things, because if they didn't, I'm sure they would have decided I was mad by now. I've been seeing things that I believe are UFOs so many times, I'm totally a believer of ghosts because I've seen and felt them, I'm obsessed with vampires (not just the nice Twilight ones lol). And at one point when we lived in the country when I was 10 or 11, I would go outside and wander around in the woods and fields determined to capture a faerie. :XD
Anyway, I'm sorry you're view of the sky is so bad now, Gabriel. Mine is awesome! That's one of the rare good points of this stupid town. Its a lot darker at night than where we lived in the city. So you can see SO many stars. ^_^ And yeah, it was freakishly calm while I was watching it. HIM:: The airport near here is not used a lot, though apparently that's going to change next year -shrug- But we really get more noise from highway traffic. And noise of dump-trucks and machinery from whatever the hell they're doing where the mines were a long time ago.. |
That's good, HIM... Yes, I like the fact that the suns setting earlier cuz that gives me more time to star-gaze, which is what I did last night because it was sooo clear out! And the air was warm... Today its windy. Hmm, cargo planes...
That's still a lot of air pollution. I'm glad too, Christa. Its better to have an open-mind about that kinda stuff. Yep, UFOs and ghosts are totally real... Now, faeries and vampires on the other hand, probably aren't... Unless you mean, Energy Vamps, cuz those exist. It always seems too bright out to me, because I'm used to living in an isolated town where you can see every star... and now living in a city I can't, but that's ok. |
