*rips out hair* AUTHORLESS BOOK TOUR!? What the hell!? D: You can't have a book tour without the author. That's just cruel! I got super excited, because the Ranger's Apprentice book tour is coming to my city. I was like, "J-John Flanagan!? Oh my god! I can have him sign my books! I... I... this is the greatest thing EVER! No authors I particularly love ever do book tours near me! And he lives in Australia! I can't believe he'll be here!"
Then I saw the bit about the author not being on the book tour. That was wicked of them. Wicked wicked wicked. Crushing the hopes and dreams of a poor girl. ;_; Why couldn't they have mentioned that before the list of cities, hm?

Authorless book tours are... a really ridiculous thing. o_o Half the reason people would be going to it would be to get to meet the author.

Aren't they? o_o It's silly! Though I'm already changing my mind about not going. Rereading the information, it does seem... fun. :3

John Flanagan's popular Rangers Apprentice series will come to life. "Escape to Araluen" consists of a series of interactive skits that introduce the series' characters and plot to new audiences and bring to life favorite scenes for fans of the series. "Escape to Araluen" will feature three actors from the Striking Viking Story Pirates who will travel across the country in the Ranger's Apprentice tour bus, wrapped in art from books one and six. Performances will include music, sound effects, prizes, an interactive apprentice selection ceremony, and an eight-foot tall villain. Each show will be followed by a booksigning by the actors where fans will receive a special "Escape from Araluen" stamp and Ranger pin.

...I think it's directed more towards children, BUT I WANT THAT PIN. D: And I'll take Lauren with me so I won't be the oldest person there. XD
Though I may not actually let the actors touch my books, supposing I even bring them along. o3o "PAWS OFF, SCUM. YOU AIN'T JOHN FLANAGAN, BUDDY." If I do end up really liking the actors, though, I suppose I shall regret not bringing them, so I might as well. XD

I'll probably regret not going, and if I dislike it, I suppose I can always turn up my nose and explore the bookstore until it's top to get my Ranger's pin. :3 Hopefully one of my parents will be free to take me!
