Have you ever 'trolled' a school function?

I recently joined a Twilight Discussion forum and I have an essay due on the first week of January. I joined merely to play devil's advocate.

EDITEDITEDIT: My prom is a Masquerade. i will be wearing a Guy Fawkes mask. We also have a DJ. I'm going to bring a CD of that one Rick Astley song. YES. That one. I'm going to ask the DJ to play it.

Oh sweet Jesus, Twilight....I could eat a stale can of alphabet soup and have a bowel movement with a better plot and more in-depth characters than Twilight.

I do hope you give them a fun time.

I don't think I've ever joined a school function just for trolling. As much satisfaction as I would get from it, I just would rather watch another person do what you're doing. I enjoy watching debates from sidelines more than participating in them, when I am of the viewpoint in the minority, saving for select issues.

I have to say that you're my hero. I hate Twilight but don't like saying so because there's always one person around who will give me the, "I'm going to eat you alive" look after I say it.

On a related note, don't let the more rabid among the Twilight fangirls on that forum eat you alive. :P We can't afford to lose any more people with a good taste in literature.

I'll admit to having trolled a forum before, pretending to be, of all things, an airy-fairy Wiccan. Shameful, isn't it? But you know what? That was kinda fun.

Alex. You're awesome.
... xD also. To help. I found some cosplayers who actually LOOK better than the actual movie characters.
Have fun showing them the pics (all of them are girls by the way)
http://alyssea.livejournal.com/98883.html

I've never trolled, but I know a few anti-twilight people. Sometimes we gang up on our Twilight-lover friends, we have convinced a few that the books aren't great, but they still go gaga over Edward. We plan to count how many times his eyes 'smoulder' in the book. o_o Maaybe. If we can be bothered.

I do play the devils advocate when there are debates in school or in our friend group, merely to stir trouble up.

XD By forum, I don't mean online forum, by the way. I mean an actual greek style forum. Appropriately, "FORVM"

@ Spanish Leek Squared: That livejournal totally made my day. "You KNOW we're better than the movie! Stop. SEXYTIME."
Yeah, my sister is totally obsessed with twilight, but she did not enjoy the film that much. She had exceedingly low expectations for it, and it just passed them.

You could be doing something productive and positive for your own life instead of tearing down others and/or spinning your wheels/wasting your own potential. I don't really see the funny here.

If you're going to a forum with geeks, beware of trolling, for every geek knows Fire is a Troll's weakness, and they will Flame you! =D [/dnd nerd]

On Topic; I've never really seen trolling as an enjoyable act, So I never did it. I got to see too much of it on the WoW forums and it just got.. old. Endlessly Old. Ancient. But, to each their own. :)

P.s. I love the Twilight Books :p

Oh hell yeah. It's so hilarious to see how people get so passionate about such stupid things

My favorite is when I joined student council last year with the purpose of turning it communist. XDD Like, last year's prom I was adamant about making the theme 'leningrad' Whenever we did posters, I made mine all red with identical people on it doing identical things.

Some people thought I was serious. XD But it was fun. 'Hey Comrade Juliette, what's up?'

I got kicked out for "unspirited behavior" in like late November. Oh well. XD

D: Nobody in my school would get the joke. They're not net-savvy.

Though,t here WOULD be one or two geeks. I wanted to try for 'goatse powerpoint', but I have no idea how to do that inconspicuously.

Yes, that's true. But fortunately, aside from my brother Alexandrus, I've found a lot of Twilight haters as well and they said that Twilight should be burned to hell for disgracing the name and meaning of the word, "VAMPIRE".

To Alexandrus: Dearest brother, since we didn't study in the same school, we didn't have the same thing... what I mean is, in my school there was only a "senior prom" and I didn't even go, so I kinda missed a part of my life... D:

Get video clips, and make sure to tell peoples reactions, like how many actually understood that they were RickROLLED.

Oh my sounds like fun <3
And I have to agree with Elsa. It really does do a disgrace to the word vampire in a way. It's just hard to see that a novel like that gets so much attention when their are better novels with vampires, doing justice to the actual history of the myth, and have a better plot than an after school special. (Please don't kill me >>)

But as for Twilight haters. I really don't gang up on people. I just say 'There are better books that I'd rather direct my full attention to'. And God to Rick Roll a dance! Though...that'll only work if the high school is into internet fads XD. But wow trolling at a prom. Have fun~
