@Nao: Cake is yummy! : ) What kind are you making?
I'm not really doing much. Just bouncing around sites and half watching tv. |
A mocha walnut cake!! and we don't have a mixer or beater so i had to make the frosting with my arm power and now it hurts :(
|
Mocha. *drools* I hate hand beating things. D; We used to have an electric mixer, but the beaters "magically" disappeared. : <
|
Yeah our electric beater died :cry: we had a funeral and everything for it! it was as old as i am (19) and the mixer was from the 80's so we decide to get rid of it bad idea!
|
Man, things made in the 80s are so old. xD Sadly I haven't baked anything in a long while. : ( But now that it's getting cooler I say everything is fair game. lol Almost time for pecan and pumpkin pies. :}
|
I make a cake because when we got to the end of our meals it felt like something was missing!!
|
I would like to make a cake to eat as a meal.... >.> lol
|
Blarg! Been running around non-stop today. >.>;
I ought to be able to relax for the rest of the night, though (I hope :sweat: ). So, how was everybody else's day today? |
Hi Dimi! My day has been emotionally rough. ; S What all have you been doing that you've had to run around all day? lol
|
Eh, I had to go visit my ex-wife today (which is usually rough in and of itself), then the rest of the day was spent running around and pricing parts for my pickup. I need to fix the brakes, the carburetor, and the exhaust at the very least before I go to get my truck inspected, which is coming up soon. Of course, my truck is old enough that it makes it difficult to find parts at a decent price. :XP I can fix the brakes myself, and I can probably take care of the carburetor as well. But I have to take the truck somewhere to get the exhaust fixed. There are other things that I need to fix on my pickup as well, but I'm focusing on just trying to make my truck street legal right now. That was pretty much the bulk of my day today.
Now, I'm just relaxing and practicing with my guitar. |
I don't quite understand what makes your obligated to see her, especially since you haven't any children with her, but more the man you are I guess. It's difficult keeping a relationship with your ex even in the best of circumstances. It's always that bit of awkwardness, you know?
Even my ex today is a bit distant with me when I IM him and it's taken some time to getting use to. He isn't generally a very open person...but that's a pretty stereotypical British attitude. They're much more reserved over there. |
*lol* If that's the case, I wouldn't fit in over there in Brittan very well, then. :P
Eh, it's complicated. It's not that I feel obligated to see her. It's just that, if I don't visit her, she starts to call me and bugging me more and more often until I give in and go for a visit. And I don't want to tell her to leave me alone or anything like that. Even though she and I are divorced, I want to keep a friendship going. She, on the other hand, wants me to come back to her. I'm just strange like that. :sweat: |
What happened to cause you two to divorce, if you don't mind me asking?
Me...it was because I went back to the US (after trying my damnest to straighten things out in the UK) and exhusband wasn't going to come back with me and after everything I had gone through there was no way in hell I wanted to go back. I'm much happier now though and have a wonderful relationship with my new husband. :) |
Eh, the biggest reason for the demise of my marriage was the lack of trust on my ex-wife's part. It started when I had to start working more and more overtime at work to the point that I was working 12 hours a day 6 days a week. Well, she thought I was cheating on her or something like that. There was a lot of accusations, name-calling, and arguing that ensued (which grew in frequency until it was happening on pretty much a daily basis). She even hired a private investigator to follow me around at one point (I'm still trying to figure out where she got the money for that, since I never noticed any funds missing from the checking account, which means she had to get the money for it from someone else). I put up with it for 3 years, but it got to the point that I finally gave up and told her that I wanted a divorce. There were a few other reasons for it, but what I mentioned above was the biggest reason.
--EDIT-- Wow, it's so quiet tonight. |
DIMIY:glomp: how are you?
|
Heya, Nao! :hug: :heart: I'm doing alright. And how about you?
|
