I keep wanting to double post since I've pretty much been conditioned from Gaia, but then I always hit the edit button.

No one has threatened to ban thoth, he has not been infracted left and right, not quite sure why he thinks all this will impress you really, and no one on staff has sent him 'Hate mail'

For a 'seasoned' crowd there seems to be more bitching and whining over someone flaming the female gender and getting their feelings slapped around over it. Ignorance of people is one reason why I had to come off the staff as most people were causing too much of a headache with high school drama.

Let me just go on record saying that I haven't seen any evidence of the staff giving you a hard time, Thoth. I haven't read everything verbatim, though I did see Knerd trying to work some sort of disagreement over PM. It didn't seem like she was trying to use her mod powers to punish you or anything, and I didn't even read the statement that started all this so I don't know how I'd feel about this 'female bashing statement'. What I'm assuming is you gave your opinion and someone else stated theirs. *shrugs* Everyone's entitled to an opinion, whether it's right or wrong.

I hate to see you leave over this, but I'm hoping things will cool down and you'll come back.

Nah the mods aren't going to gang up on you, Nao, so I wouldn't worry...Well that is if you follow the rules. They seem to be pretty lenient though. I mean I've said things that were probably a little bit past the PG13 label and I haven't had anyone come to me complaining.

Well, I haven't had any problems with any of the mods. I've only had one infraction since I started Mene, and I admit that it was my fault. :yes:

So how was everyone's evening?

Mine was interesting to say the least. Got a call at 5pm tonight from MIL at the hospital with her longterm boyfriend (feels weird calling them that, since it's totally platonic...) He finally had a nasty accident due to his drinking that had him wheeled away in an ambulance in Grand Rapids for major surgery. He tripped and smashed his head on a decorative urn in their house. I really do feel bad for both of them...for him as he doesn't have the will power to get sober, and for her for letting him pull her down. I know it isn't an easy situation, but we've both told her we think the best policy is tough love and he needs to either shape up or ship out. We've offered MIL a place to stay with us while she works out everything too, so we can be there for emotional as well as financial support. (Even though we don't have much money...saying that if she doesn't have to pay all the bills to keep her place running it would mean less out of pocket for her and perhaps give her the push she needs to get things sorted.)

I vaguely feel like I'm stalking Naoto even though it's pure coincidence that we post in a lot of the same threads. :lol:

My day wasn't all that bad other than the fact that I've got an ear infection and I just found out that I need to come up with about $500 to fix my car sometime in the near future. It's still drivable right now, but I need to get it fixed sometime. I figure that I'll finish getting my pickup fixed right now so I have something to drive this winter. Then, I can put off fixing the car until spring. :yes:
