Yay! I was afraid I'd caught everyone at bed time.
A lady I met during the Halloween event suggested I check out this thread; I hope you don't mind.

WAY over-full. It's been thanksgiving around here for the past two days. I don't think I'll be able to eat for a week!

How are you?

That actually sounds pretty nice right about now...too bad it didn't come up earlier. There's no way I'm going out at this hour.

Did/do you do Thanksgiving?

Yes I do but we have chicken instead of turkey because we don't like the taste and they are too big for me mum and I

Sounds great to me. We do turkey because, frankly, that means I don't have to cook for the rest of the week. My kids can fix sandwiches, and with the myriad side dishes, they're never hurting for variety.

A friend of mine had a honey glazed pork roast instead of turkey.

We had to get the huge turkeys when I was small because we we're a family of 5 with 2 growing boys and we had to have another table for all the food XD

LOL. My family was kind of like that, but there was only one boy. We just really liked turkey sandwiches.
I wonder why growing boys have to consume their body weight in food....My brother was like that, and now my sons do it too. If I ate like them, I'd weigh about a ton!

What's your favorite part of thanksgiving?

I think mine is minced meat pie, with whipped cream. I only get it during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I really do try to watch what I eat, but it is sooo hard during the holidays! That, and I always fix my favorite dishes. You'd think I'd be smarter than that :D

What's worse, is that I'm going to teach my kids candy and cookie making for their christmas gifts this year. ::groan:: I'm going to put on ten pounds easy.

My dog would sell his eye teeth for a good long walk. But that's just because he wants to bark at all the big dogs in the neighborhood.

I hate to be a pill, but I think I'm going to go lay down. My dinner isn't playing nice in my tummy.

It was great talking to you; I'll drop by next time I'm online.

going on the last topic, being thansgiving food, we had a ham, a turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserol, sweet potato casserol, some corn thing gran concocted, home-made bread. And then we had like a cake and 3 different pies for dessert, oh, i forgot we had deviled eggs and cranberry sauce too. i thought i was going to fall asleep on my way into work xD

The only thing I have to say about the Star Trek movie is that all the young actors did an excellent job in capturing the personalities of the original crew cast members. Karl Urban was especially hilarious as Doctor McCoy, and Zachary Quinto as young Spock: if Leonard Nemoy had died, I would have said Zachary was Leonard reincarnated.
When I can afford it, I am definitely getting the DVD!
