 As tempting as that sounds, I don't think I'd be able to make it over there within 15 minutes. :P

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 06:12 PM

i'm back...yeah it takes a day on 70 east(knows this because i drive to Denver Colorado from Columbus,Ohio once a year and makes it to Topeka Kansas in one day

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 06:17 PM

Well, I don't know about that. I mean, I can make it from here to western PA in about 13 - 14 hours on I-70. It just depends on how you drive. I'm more the type of person that, once I start driving, I don't want to stop unless I have to.

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 06:29 PM

Well when your in the car with a 55 year old lady you gotta stop plus we stop at almost every ihop on the way because there are none in columbus...but i'd say you could make in half a day!

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 06:35 PM

Ok, you've got a point there. :P Yeah, I think it takes about 10 hours for me to get to Columbus. Maybe a little less.

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 06:39 PM

Now just gas money is keeping you away from ohio!!

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 06:41 PM

And the fact that I never seem to have more than one day off at a time. :XP I mean, I work a couple of days, get a day off, work a few more days, then get another day off. I'm starting to wonder who I have to kill to get consecutive days off. :ninja:
And then there's the fact that I'm thinking about taking out a second job for extra money, which will leave me with even less free time.

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 06:50 PM

yeah that too... at least they're not cutting your hours back!!

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 06:54 PM

True, but how much I make literally depends on how many people come to the shop to get work done to their vehicles. I only make $6.00/hr+commission. Granted, during a busy day with lots of work to do, I can make upwards of $12.00 - $15.00/hr, but on a completely dead day, where nobody comes into the shop, I'm stuck at $6.00/hr. :XP And we don't really have a whole lot of really busy days unless we have some kind of big sale going on. Most of the time, it's just a somewhat steady flow. On those days, I average about $9.00/hr.

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 07:00 PM

well i'm a poor college student with $24 in her bank account and no one willing to hire me!

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 07:06 PM

What kind of jobs have you been looking at?

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 07:10 PM

part time generic ones like pick and pack...grocery stores..McDonald's! and none of them hired me i have been looking for a job for two years

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 07:13 PM

Really? Wow. Well, it's getting to be that time of the season where places are going to be hiring for extra help during the holidays and all. Maybe you'll be able to get a job soon.

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 07:18 PM

Yeah i hope so too...if jobs weren't asking for only online applications!! today i applied to out local zoo(#1 in the country!!) for lands keeper and a Santa helper!

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 07:27 PM

Yeah, I hate those online applications, too. I also hate those morality questionnaires that a lot of these places make you answer, too. Those questions are too complicatedly worded. And they keep asking the same questions over and over, but change the wording for the questions or answers. It's like they're trying to confuse a person.

Sunlit.rains 10-12-2009 07:30 PM

Hello all. How are we doing this bright shiny day? *looks outside and sees gray skies* *sigh*

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 07:34 PM

@Sunlit: Yeah, I'm not seeing any shining or sun or anything like that over here, either. :P I haven't even been outside yet, but just looking out the window tells me that it's pretty cold out there.
Anyway, I'm doing alright. Just trying to relax and enjoy my day off today. And how are you doing today?

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 07:37 PM

Dimi: yeah I know its like would you ever tell a white lie...and you sit there saying well yeah if its a white lie its an okay lie but you don't know how they want you to respond to it ugh!

Sun: I got sun here in Ohio Y'all should come bask in Ohio's sunlight!

Sunlit.rains 10-12-2009 07:40 PM

Dimi: Doing pretty well. Sad I had to wear a jacket for the first time this year and put away my flip-flops. Though I'm trying to help a friend with boy drama and that isn't too splendid. Otherwise I've just had class and only have a little homework which is nice.

Naoto: I might just have too. This is the Maryland gray season.

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 07:46 PM

@Naoto: Right?? And a few questions later, they ask if you have ever told a white lie in the past. And you sit there thinking "Ok, if I tell them yes, they're going to think I'm just admitting to lying. And they don't want somebody who lies. But, if I tell them that I've never told a lie in my life, they're going to think I'm lying anyway! What do I say?? :insane: "

@Sunlit: Ooo, life drama sucks. But not having a lot of homework is a plus.

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 07:50 PM

Sun: well it's Ohio's hot flashes and cold flashes season

Dimi:I know right *shudders* and then they ask you things like " a co-worker's brother was just taken to the ER she needs to go now and your about to get off to you take the rest of her shift or tell her to talk to the manager" and its like in RL i would tell her that i would talk to the manager and take the rest of her shift and your sitting like why isn't that an option!!!

Sunlit.rains 10-12-2009 07:53 PM

Dimi: yeah. She won't tell me exactly what happened, just that "she pushed him too far emotionally and now he won't call her back" *sigh*

Naoto: As long as there is still time when it's hot, I'm there.

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 07:57 PM

Sun: yeah but it will happen when theres snow on the ground and you look stupid with no coat on...Ohio hates its resident's!!

Dimitri Bloodbane 10-12-2009 08:04 PM

@Naoto: Yeah, I get the feeling that the only reason that they make people answer that stupid thing is so whoever looks them over has something to laugh at... :stare:

@Sunlit: Well, if she already knows that she pushed him too far (however she managed to do that in the first place), then I don't think that there is really anything that you could do about any of it anyway.

Naoto-chan22 10-12-2009 08:14 PM

:poke: Dimi my back hurts and the shower didn't help!!
