@Naoto: Oh? Why does your back hurt?
|
Hello all! Just popping in for a little bit before I have to head out the door to look after my sister. :stare: *waves flag of enthusiasm*
How is everyone doing today? |
Dimi: Yeah. Well of course after an hour on the phone in tears. She gets a call from him saying he was out on his bike and had bad service. They're still on for their date tonight. So crisis averted?
Naoto: I love when there's snow on the ground and sun out. It's so sparkly. Jelly: hiii. ^^ I'm doing alright considering weather and stuff. |
@Jana: At least that's a flag of enthusiasm and not a flag of surrender. ;) I hope that you're able to have a decent day, though.
I'm doing alright. Just trying to figure out if I want to play a game or watch a movie or not. :P @Sunlit: Hmm, convenient misunderstanding, or something more? Anyway, at least that's over with for the time being. |
Dimi: because my 70lb dog decieded she would wake me up my laying on my back
Jelly!!!:glomp: hihi! |
@Sunlit: Is it rainy where you are?
@Dimi: My sister usually makes the trip an alright one. I just wish I didn't have to walk 2.5 friggen miles to get there *is feeling lazy today* What game would you be playing? @Naoto: Hiya! *squishes* |
Dimi: only god knows. I'm hoping for pure misunderstanding. Or for them to jsut work out whatever this is.
Edit: Jelly: Nope, just gray. :( I'd prefer rain actually, at least the grayness would be doing something. |
Hello everyone! *waves*
I'm a bit bummed. Nothing I can pick up hours wise this week right now. Might have to do it by a day by day basis until I can work out when they drop the hours and then be there when they do. At least I'm still technically claiming unemployment so I can do a partial claim if I simply can't get the hours. Dimi - wow I didn't know mechanic's pay worked that way. Wish I knew someone local who could fix our shocks as hubby says that will be something on our list to get fixed soon and he says it's easily $150 to have done. :O Also, the turn signal in his truck is a bit demented. Some days it won't stay on and he has to constantly turn it off and on to get it to flash...He says something about it being a really expensive part to fix it. It's funny though, as it usually only shorts on really hot or cold days. |
@Naoto: Aww, I'm sorry. I could probably try to pop your back if I were there, but I'm not sure it would actually help you any. At least she only decided to lay on your back, though. We used to have a 130 pound dog who though she was a lapdog... :XP
@Jana: Hmm, not sure. Gran Tourismo 4, Metal Gear 3, Wanted: Weapons of Fate, or maybe even Assassin's Creed. Well, as long as the weather isn't too cold, 2.5 miles sounds like a decent walk. @Sunlit: Agreed. Them working it out between the two of them would be best. |
@Izumi: Oh that sucks. Where do you work? Or rather, what work do you do?
Edit: @Sunlit: Ah. It's kinda gray over here, with little pockets of sunshine. I kinda wish it was raining. I like the rain... @Dimi: Ah. Assassins Creed is a pretty good game...I've never played any of the other ones. And it is a very nice walk...if only people didn't stare at me like I was some mythical being. *groans* |
I work at home. =3 I really like the setup, so I hesitate about getting a 'real job'. Still going to apply for FAFSA though, as soon as I finally get my damn SS card in the mail.
|
@Izumi: Sorry to hear that you're not getting many hours. I hope business picks up for you soon. Yeah, most mechanics get paid either a percentage of whatever the shop makes on the job. Other mechanics get paid by what's called "flag rate" hours, meaning that there's a book that says how long it should take to do a given job. Then they get paid for that time, regardless of how long it actually takes them to do the job. For instance, changing an alternator on a vehicle is supposed to take an hour, according to the book. But, on most vehicles, I can change an alternator in about 15 minutes. So, if a mechanic gets four of those jobs in an hour, they make four hours of pay in one hour. That's just an example, though.
Hmm, the turn signal not flashing could be something like the switch in the steering column (which is a pain in the ass to fix) or it could be the relay down under the dash. The relay would be the first thing I checked. Simple and cheap to change, and if it fixes the problem, awesome. @Jana: Why do they stare at you? Do you wear a hat made out of jellybeans or something like that? ;) |
Dimi: thata nice of you i use to have a guy who liked me who geve me massages whenever i wanted one!!
Alright everyone i gotta get ready for my girl scout meeting!! bye all *waves* |
Izumi: that sucks. Hopefully work will pick up soon.
Dimi: Who knows. <.< I love Assassin's Creed. I know I've said that, but since it was brought up, >.> I needed to say it again. |
@Naoto *Huggles* Bye bye! Have fun with your girl scouts.
@Dimi: No. No jellybean hat...although that would be amazing. I think they mostly stare because I'm actually walking, with a purpose, and not that stupid strolly thing that every always does. |
[email protected] -Just told hubby and he's wanting to know where the relay is located, and roughly how much would the part cost to fix it? He says it does work, but not very often. It typically has a 'mind of its own' and as I said it usually picks what days it will work. Kinda sucky cause I know that's a good way to get yourself in an accident...well by not signaling.
I think other than that, we're pretty golden with his truck. He needs a new windshield, but that's pretty much for cosmetics. We were picking up the kids, when a plow truck zoomed by and it launched a piece of gravel to be flung up at our windshield and crack it. It was a spiderweb crack, which the repairman took one look at it and said he couldn't fix and we would have to pay for a 200 dollar deductible before insurance would kick in, but a window would cost like $150. Being the cheap people we are (and well not having the money anyways) decided to wait on it...It's kinda grown a bit now but hubby seems to think it won't hurt anything anyways. |
@Naoto: Alright, have fun at your meeting. See you afterward if you get back online.
@Sunlit: I love it when you get that short sword. I can wreck some hellacious havoc with it. That's when I go to kill the guy in the knight's keep when he's surrounded by all those knights. I stick him with the hidden blade, then pull the short sword and start slashing the shit out of anything that moves until they're all dead (except for the two or three that run away) :XD @Izumi: What's the year, make, and model of your hubby's pickup? And where is it that you live again? --EDIT-- @Jana: Stupid strolly thing? |
I was really pissed when they took all my shiny weapons away because I was stupid and couldn't follow orders. No reason to take away a girls toys I tell you.
I'll probably play it a little when I get home. |
Naoto: Have fun. ^^ <3
Dimi: ... That's my favorite thing to do. Also I love killing someone and getting all the guards to chase me and not quite running fast enough to escape, stopping and then just killing them all. o_o Edit: Jelly: yeah I was very sad about that too. But it was fun to earn it all back. |
[email protected] - It's a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and I live outside of Grand Rapids, in Michigan. =3
|
@Sunlit: I like leading them to an area that has all the rafters sticking out of the side of the buildings. I'll race along, jump off of a table/stack of crates, and start jumping from rafter to rafter at a full sprint. Then I stop to look at them and their all :o :illgetu: One thing I really hate, though, are those beggars in the game. They always get in your way and draw attention to you when you're trying to pickpocket someone. I ended up sticking one with the hidden blade after she made me lose my target, and went all :o when I actually lost life from it! :gonk:
--EDIT-- @Izumi: Ok, so you live inside the US. Give me a moment to look a couple of things up real quick. |
@Sunlit: It was very fun. Although the camera and movement angels really bothered me sometimes.
Edit: @Dimi: Isn't the point not to kill innocents? Lol. Although I know what you mean, I did that once in Tench Z. Friggen woman kept screaming and was drawing attention to me. Grrrr. |
@Jana: That's true, but I was just so annoyed with her. I mean, she should get the point after being pushed away/aside 3 or 4 times.
@Izumi: Does your hubby's Jeep have the 2.5L engine, or the 4.0L engine? |
Dimi: Never tried the rafters thing. I'll have to do so. The beggars are sooo irritating. Though probably pretty accurate. I've killed them by a mistake before too. Thoughts on the upcoming sequel?
Jelly: I understand. They take some getting used to. Once you do though you should be alright. ^^ |
@Dimi: I know. Then again, if game people would get hints it wouldn't be as interesting. x3
