That's sooo what I wanted....Between my Mom, and his Mom...That was a lost cause. I wanted Vegas to be honest..You can have lovely well planned weddings in Vegas I mean seriously, they do weddings ALL THE TIME down there....So may as well just pay em to do what they do well...AND have an "effing" blast....

The Wandering Poet 07-22-2009 05:39 AM

I could never handle Vegas... @[email protected] too many lights and way too many people...
Oh yeah... >.> and I should avoid Blackjack at all costs... I may be capable of profit, but omg I play it too much when I get the chance. Never been much of a gambler though. I have extremely bad luck when it comes to anything but Blackjack... I need an 80%+ chance to be satisfied with maybe winning... maybe... casino's in Vegas are what 1-10,000?

DariaMorgendorfer 07-22-2009 05:44 AM

Last time I went I found a fairy slot machine...Won about $20.00...It was fun:) I never win much but then again, I never gamble much...

Edit: I just gotta tell you all...My husband is alphabetizing our DVDs and games at the moment...I think he's fucking NUTS but whatever...

The Wandering Poet 07-22-2009 06:16 AM

Hmm... never gambled in a casino yet, dunno how old you have to be either ^^" but I think I'd rather not risk loosing money... I have a tendency to get really bad loosing streaks on a thing called "luck"

Probably slightly OCD or REALLY bored XD
I do stuff like that when I'm bored

DariaMorgendorfer 07-22-2009 07:34 AM

If he's OCD, he's the laziest OCD person ever! He likes things neat and organized...but he never gets around to organizing things...It's quite amusing;) Personally I think the Idea is silly...Like the CDs will actually stay in that order...but "whatever"...

The Wandering Poet 07-22-2009 07:40 AM

Hmm... I'm lazy too but I tend to do stuff like that sometimes...

Izumi 07-22-2009 12:42 PM

I had a friend in England who was very anal like that - he'd alphabetize his CDs, DVDs, and games...he'd also cover his game systems with a piece of fabric when not in use to keep the vents from getting dust. Whenever he bought something new he would neatly fold all the plastic bags, ties, and any other packing material into the box and keep it in storage forever. He'd also leave his remotes for his TV in the plastic bag so that they wouldn't get any wear on them.

I use to joke with his now wife that it's to the point it must make her crazy. My Ex use to hold onto boxes for major purchases, but he wasn't nearly as anal. Needless to say he never wants kids. :P They'd mess up his tidyness.

RubySlippers 07-22-2009 01:35 PM

All I can say right now is "AHHHHHHHH!" Going back to work after being lazy all summer is rough! I am currently taking a class that is required for work and it has kept me busy. I will try to be on this weekend. I just wanted to pop in and say hi and that I am still alive LOL. RL stinks sometimes. Have a great day everyone!

The Wandering Poet 07-22-2009 09:19 PM

Real... life? Whats that? @[email protected]

Izumi 07-22-2009 09:36 PM

I wish I knew Kaze....:P

I think the whole drama for today is trying to figure out whether or not to go out to see my folks this weekend. I would, if it weren't a 2 hour driver to get there and we didn't have the issue with his mother falling out with him so now we no longer have a cat-sitter (apparently he said something ignorant about my mom making homemade gifts, and now his mom is all upset), not to mention having a whopping $60 extra to work with (which would probably cover the gas needed, but that's it)....I just kind of want to stay home as I would like that $60 to go towards food and right now with me working 9.5 hours this week and next week looking iffy I really don't want to chance it. :|

Not to mention all this drama over Pam's costume. Apparently we have to run it through the Ex to make sure she's OK with it!!! It absolutely astounds me. She wants to dress up like a Pokemon character, and she's worried her mom is going to have a wobbler. Furthermore, my mom is worried that the Ex is going to destroy the costume in the first place. I'm ready to say you know what it's not worth it -- sign off our rights to the kids in exchange for her dropping her child support payments and lets wash our hands of this crazy nut. Her and all her ridiculous bullshit.

The Wandering Poet 07-22-2009 10:42 PM

Hmm... crazy nuts... >.> my mom is one... she tries to run the lives of everyone around her... and she wonders why I box myself in my room -.-

That happen to be the "crazy nut" I read about in the Life Issues a while back? I forget which user posted that...

Hollywood 07-23-2009 01:11 AM

my mom isn't crazy :)
hopefully I wont be a crazy mom either....
I definietly went through a crazy teenaged girl stage though.

Today i was supposed to pack, pack, pack, pack....
instead, I played on avatar sites, and went to the lake..... hmmm.
I'm awesome.
Guyyyzzz.... packing just sucks. And I'm a major procrastinator.... ughhh. And my boyfriend is also. haha. we suck.

Izumi 07-23-2009 01:54 AM

Well the whole drama about the Halloween costume seems to have been for nothing. Her mom says she doesn't care. She did throw a fit about stepson playing videogames, and we were worried she would get all up in arms about Pokemon. She has been encouraging strongly that girls should be girls and boys should be boys. If either one of them wanted to break those gender stereotypes I'd back them up. I was the biggest tomboy and while I didn't have the closest relationship with my parents growing up, they encouraged my hobbies. Ninja Turtles and Legos were fine. They didn't make me dress up all cute and frilly when I got older, and they didn't force me to play Barbies and do girl things.

I also called my brother and just told him bluntly what's going on about Aaron's mom, the weather and money. I said we'd like to, but we need to sit down and discuss it and see if we can come up with an alternative plan. We'll see. I'm still thinking sticking it out here and making plans another weekend might be best...especially if it's raining all weekend -- part of the fun is spending time outside. (They live on a large plot of land and have lots of farm animals...not to mention live close to the lake...)

I spotted this thread a while ago (still today) but had to leave before I could post.
Though it's not active now I'll still say hi as I stop by once more.

Izumi 07-23-2009 03:04 AM

Hiya Kale! :)

We're not quite as fast paced as other threads, but I'd like to think we keep an interesting conversation going. It's a good place to bitch about life and let it out. At least that's what I find. I don't do nearly as much complaining IRL, so it helps to cleanse myself of it here. :P

Rusalka 07-23-2009 03:13 AM

Oh yes, I know it could be very nice to bitch about life to a bunch of faceless (no offense meant) people who I probably will never meet in life. It's better than blowing up at people one knows and ruin a friendship or the way they look at you.

A long while back I'd been fairly active in a 18+ hangout and enjoyed it.. Now it's most certainly dead and my chatting days have gone down to zero so I'm trying to make up for it and return for the top poster running. (For I used to be #2 in the top ten xD)

Izumi 07-23-2009 03:17 AM

Yah I saw that way back when, but it looks like it's been dead for awhile...so I decided rather than resurrect it to give it a go and see what kind of crowd would draw in for a new thread. :)

It's nice getting a place for the older Menewshans to hang out. I know a good handful are still currently in school and to be honest it seems like worlds away these days.

Rusalka 07-23-2009 03:20 AM

Oh yeah, I think this is actually the third created. But it is better to start anew when the owner of the last has disappeared and the crowd that had been there had decided to abandon, besides every thread needs a refresh within here at times especially when crowds come and go and no one knows what to do about the dying threads.

DariaMorgendorfer 07-23-2009 07:47 AM

Hey Kale, nice to see you here:)

OOHHH Holly, I so agree with you about packing and to be honest...unpacking. I am SOOO bad about unpacking....In fact I spent HOURS this afternoon working on trying to organize a house that I have neglected to organize for about 2 years now. We moved in, he started school, I started work and planning a wedding...Never had time to organize and frankly I blow at it. I had a friend come over tonight to help me figure out how to even begin...She was like "Ohh this goes here, that can go there...That would be great there...It was amazing! I was in awe of her abilities!

The Wandering Poet 07-23-2009 08:07 AM

lol Daria XD

That's why I'm so happy my GF is how she is. She absolutely LOVES to organize things =D

Izumi 07-23-2009 12:44 PM

I love to be clean and organized. I just hate doing it. :gonk:

Hollywood 07-23-2009 05:08 PM

Izumi, I feel the same.
An clean, organized house is ideal.... and once I move I am honestly ging to try to get it and keep it that way. But I think I'm just not motivated here because we were ditched by 3 boys who left their messes.... so I'm cleaning up after them, and figuring what to do with all the shit that they left behind....
I'm going to take a shower, and get dressed early for work.... then I'm going to try to do something small like pack up all the books or something...
efff packing...... sucks. ew. i hate it.

The Wandering Poet 07-24-2009 12:54 AM

I hate packing too... heck I got a trashed room cause I'm in the middle of cleaning it :ninja: and look who's on mene >.<
I should be busy packing my closet full of stuff ^^"

Rusalka 07-24-2009 12:56 AM

-peeks in- Hello all.

hollowmoon 07-24-2009 01:05 AM

Eek! I need some clothes! I'm new to this community, and as I saw this thread figured this might be a good place to start... old fart that I am - 29, I'll be 30 this Christmas.

I live on the coast of Maine with my folks. We have a farm with an apple orchard, large vegetable garden and pumpkin patch, as well as 3 goats, 18 chickens and 4 turkeys. And a German Shepard, and 2 cats.

I like to draw, bake and sew. I love to get dressed up in costumes and can't wait for Halloween. (I'm going as a Ghostbuster trick or treating with my nieces, something spooky for the Haunted House I volunteer at, but don't know what yet).

It's a pleasure to meet you all! =3
