Hi Jelly!!! Right now my son and I are shopping for a birthday present for him. lol

@llonka: Yeah, I hate having to get up that early... Mostly because I'm a night owl and it's hard for me to get to bed at a decent time to get enough rest for the next morning. :sweat:

@Dimi: Pretty good. Managed to stab myself in the shin with a knitting needle today. Am milking the tiny wound for all it's worth and drinking Pino Grigio. Love that stuff. What Lady Gaga song?

@Dimi: wow i'm a night owl too! lol. my oldest son is too, he likes to stay up and watch tv. lol!

@Jelly: well we found this Scooby Doo set he really likes. has the the mystery machine and all of the charcters. but we dont have a ToyRUs here and hubby doesn't think it'll get here in time. his birthday is wednesday. so we are going out of town to shop at Target. maybe we can find something he likes there.

@Llonka: Awww, Scooby Doo. That sucks that you don't have a Toys-R-Us near you. I hope he finds something he likes at Target.

@Jelly: Yeah me too. We'll get the scooby stuff for him for christmas though. i can't wait!! he keeps asking to look at it on the internet lol.

I might just end up buying a few bags of candy and pigging out here in front of the computer.
But first I need to buy scrapbooking supplies: paper, ribbon, stickers, glue, glitter, the works.
I'm going to make a big glow-in-the-dark sign: NO CANDY!!
I'm sick of having to go answer the door every five minutes to face kids who don't know the sense in going to the only unlit house in the neighborhood.
Seriously, when did parents stop teaching kids to avoid the unlit houses? When I was growing up, you never bothered with them. The lack of a light is your unspoken sign that HEY! THERE'S NO CANDY HERE!!, therefore you shouldn't be rude and go up and ring the goddamn doorbell.
Never know when you might be greeted by a grumpy old woman who decides to take her temper out on you.

Blah, we live in kansas. so the closest Toys-R-Us is either three hours to Wichita or two and a half to Amarillo. i wish we lived closer to a bigger city.

@Jana: I haven't seen the music video for that song (or for any of her songs, for that matter). *is now listening to "Just Dance"*

@Connielass: I think it was about 5 years ago when parents stopped teaching their kids about that. :sweat: The sad thing is how many kids these days vandalize property on that night. I'm really worried about my car that night. :XP

@Connie: Hey Connie! Oh, I hate those little brats that knock on your door even thought there are no decorations up, and no lights. A few years ago my Mom didn't want to bother with the candy and stuff so we only decorated a little bit but turned everything off, and yet the kids kept coming. It was ridiculous.

@Dimi: You should have read the drunk text messages I sent my friend in June, right after my birthday. I remember what they were supposed to say, but I couldn't type straight to save my life. xD

@Sunlit: Oh you should. It's fun. My favorite thing to knit at the moment is socks.
And I'm not sure what colors. I bought blue and green, and then red and orange. I'll just line everything up and go from there.
