what should i make for dinner next week?

@Thoth: WELL... I have a guitar in the closet... and provided I ever get around to learning the chords, I think I'll just stick with chord based playing rather than picking. I only bought as a hobby anyway.

I don't really play the sax. I just learned enough to teach myself the High School fight song, or whatever. But, it's not that hard. It's all about chops. The mouth control is very different from horn so would get tired easily.

I only played french horn for my senior year. The director asked for volunteers for the instrument because we didn't have enough people playing it. The down side of it is that the horn is in the key of F, and my trumpet (as with most) was B flat... made it hard to figure out if I was playing the right note or not, because the French Horn can technically be played solely on lip control.... the valves are more for precision than anything else. But the only instrument I have is my trumpet and my guitar. The Horn and Sax belonged to other people.

:) If I get some time, I'll try to finish one of the songs I was transposing and post it for you. It won't be me playing, but it will be a song that I have played.

EDIT: Piano is one of the EASIEST instruments to learn. As long as you can learn where the scale starts, you can figure out any piece of music, because it just repeats over and over again! :lol:

easy too make but healthy and has to taste good

garlic pasta = cook noodles and drain (I like to use bow ties for this, but any kind will work). add a bit of butter to keep from sticking, and parmesan cheese and garlic salt to taste.

Italian chicken = marinate chicken breast in italian dressing. Put in the oven for... can't remember.... 30min to an hour maybe? ... 'till it's cooked through.

EDIT: heat oven to.. I think it's 350... it's my mom's recipe


then again. meatloaf is always good. I like squishing the meat and stuff together! :evil:

I want to play the guitar as a hobby too but I don't own one... I'm saving up to buy a NICE acoustic guitar... so I can practice and get used to the chords and maybe eventually buy some music books and take some lessons... ^^;;

Well, I can play teh keyboard a little... but pianos throw me off cuz there's more keys... TT_______TT I get EASILY confused when it comes to music! Honestly, I'm NOT a musician... I'm a Painter, so music always blows my mind with its Complexities!!! LOL.

No, sax isn't actually hard. It just depends on what sort of instrument you're predisposed to. Being tone deaf just means you're less likely to know if you're flat or sharp. The myriad of keys on a sax will give you greater control over which note you're playing. Like I said, with the sax, or any reed instrument, it's all about chops. I remember that I used to have to take a lot of breaks to let my jaw rest. It's something that you have to build up to, just like any instrument.

I'm definitely better at trumpet! :lol: I still haven't gotten around to doing anything more than screwing around with the guitar. Like I said, it's in the closet.

hehee, yeah. I can understand how a full keyboard can be overwhelming. But, basically, just ignore the extreme right and left. They sound like crap, anyway! :yes:

I know the feeling. I'm much more comfortable with pencils and paint than instruments. That's mainly because I hate listening to myself. Beauty of a band. As long as you're not painfully out of tune, you mostly just blend in with the rest! :D

@Thoth: See, I don't know any rich people in person. Other than my second cousin who lives in La Jolla, CA. That guy has all kinds of money. He lets me drive his Mercedes whenever I'm out there, but I haven't gotten the chance to drive his Viper yet. :cry:

No, :lol: rythm and tone are two very different things. You're lucky though. There are lots of people out there who have neither! You can buy an electric tuner to tell you when you're flat or sharp. Yeah, our trumpet line had a saying:
start out "dirt dog slow" and work your way up to "squeaky puppy clean"!
Hah Hah, yeah I used to get yelled at for practicing my trumpet at home. Nobody liked listening to it. Especially my sister. But, I almost always ignored her anyway. The truth is, I very rarely practiced my trumpet outside of class anyway *shrugs*, that's just how I've always been.
