Clockwork Lime 01-10-2010 05:27 AM

For some reason, no one (save for a brave few) want to post in my threads. D= Incredibly frustrating!

CastellaStar 01-10-2010 05:28 AM

Hello! ^_^;

Clockwork Lime 01-10-2010 05:33 AM

Hey, Castella. ^^ What's up?

Edit: OMFG, I just killed a thread about killing threads. D=

Infinitys Echo 01-10-2010 05:59 AM

So, I'm back again. And making sure we don't die out. Hello to everyone that joined us.

No, Lime, you haven't killed us yet :)!

Renee the Rabid Squirrel 01-10-2010 06:16 AM

I was afraid I might kill the thread killing thread, but I didn't!

(Foiled again, I must go back to the laboratory :ninja:)

Anyhows, so now I has a headache, and I took some Tylenol extra strength with shiny outer coating (it's blue and red just like AMERICA, where...I'm not from. :XD) so I'm hoping that will kick in soon. =3

Infinitys Echo 01-10-2010 06:35 AM

Yup-foiled again! Be careful in the lab-don't release anything you may be sorry for later!

I hope your headache goes away.

Renee the Rabid Squirrel 01-11-2010 03:37 AM

Thanks! It didn't go away that night, but by morning it was le gone, thankfully.

I gots a makeover! Lol. One of my friends quit a while ago, but she logged back on to give me stuff. I heart her very much right now! I are so smexy! ^_^

xnozomichanx 01-11-2010 04:33 AM

@Renee-I think it's so people don't post really long, ridiculous/"fake" recipes, you know like just listing random ingredients, so they can get a lot of gold. Abusing the system perhaps? Plus people might say a recipe is theirs but it's really belongs to someone else. But I like having them in quotes. It visually separates the recipe from the rest of the post, so it's easier to read.

@Clockwork Lime- hehehe I know which drug that is ^^ I've taken prozac too

@CastellaStar- Hello! :)

@Echo- you always seem to have a new avatar ^^

Infinitys Echo 01-11-2010 06:01 AM

@Chan: Yes, I like to change things up. I go through fazes though where I might leave something on forever it seems, then start changing up again. Darn, now I want to go change again :)! It takes me forever to "dress"!

Renee the Rabid Squirrel 01-11-2010 06:47 PM

I know, it takes me forever to dress up my avatar as well to get it perfect. If something isn't right and I don't think the colours are blending and arranged the right way, I'll keep playing with it, or go out and buy something if I can afford it, or I'll go change the hair for the millionth time, lol.

it doesn't take me too long to get dressed here. (I have limited clothes and monies ^^) Though I take forever to get dressed on Gaia. I have been there for many moons. I was there when it was mainly boards, before all the games and selling out :|

Infinitys Echo 01-12-2010 02:21 AM

Oh, dressing on Gaia is really a pain for me, as I have so much stuff! It can take forever! Sometimes, I wish there weren't so many items; it would make it all so much easier, both here and there. Items with several poses and/or options are the hardest.

Renee the Rabid Squirrel 01-12-2010 06:33 AM

Same here! I was on gaia back in the old days of boards, in 2003, when there was one clothing shop, and trading didn't even exist. Oh, the old days. So long ago!

I'd sell the stuff I don't use, but I'm afraid I might need it for a new outfit idea :/ Though items with multiple poses drive me nuts because I frequently want to use multiple poses of the item and I don't have enough. by the way, nice avi ^^

Yeah, wasn't there a point where you had to work to get peasant clothing?

Infinitys Echo 01-12-2010 09:18 PM

@Renee: I haven't been on Gaia near that long, but I still have way too much stuff. I mostly just love to buy and sell and I'll read in ED when I'm bored. What's bad is that just in the time I've been there, it went horribly downhill very quickly, at least in my opinion. And it all has to do with them being money hungry.

@Chan: I know what you mean. I'd love to get rid of all the stuff I don't use, but I just KNOW that as soon as I do, something will change and I'll either want to use it or it'll become a very expensive item. And Thanks for the compliment again! Of course, as usual, I changed again before I saw your comment. I don't tolerate a lot of pink for very long :)!

a_shy_girl_1999 01-12-2010 11:55 PM

I am very much so a thread killer. I post and -BOOM- it dies. Let's hope this one does not have the same fate as the many threads I have killed. hehe

I am usually a lurker, but once in a while I like to come out of hiding and post ... very bad for the thread ...

Yeah they have those ads that make noise now. Like "congratulations, you've won a free nintendo wii" and crap like that. I think my earliest memory of them selling out was either with scion and the rallies or the mtv issue. oh gaia, how you've fallen.
Yeah I can tolerate only so much pink =3

It won't die yet, it's a pretty healthy thread =3
I'm a lurker myself, with the exception of this and and my other thread ^^

Well, I think you were given peasant clothing to start, but that was it. There was none of this shiny blam blam freebies outfits that they have now. You had holes in your socks, your dress and gloves. And then again, maybe you didn't get that at first! We might have been naked and had to buy even that to cover our shameful hides!

Yeah, giving people outfits right off the bat isn't fair. Some of us actually had to work for our clothes
Oh well. How are you?

Flink 01-14-2010 06:07 AM

Older users had to buy their first items on Gaia, since I assume that's where you're talking about. The starter clothes were a pair of cheap rags with gloves, and "shoes/socks".

They added actual starter clothing that newbies really get later on.

Renee the Rabid Squirrel 01-14-2010 07:21 AM

Yes, I remember them old days. *sits in rocking chair and yells at kids on the lawn*

I should check my gaia mules one of these days again, see how them fish are doing. I bet some have turned into profit. ^^

Yep, those were the peasant clothes, I remember getting them in gray ^^

All of my fish are probably dead by now. Oh well ^^

Flink 01-15-2010 02:54 AM

Flink got her peasant clothes in Jade.

I got my furniture in neutral XD

Man, you guys have really been on Gaia a long time. For me, the first big issue was the aquariums. Supposedly they were going to have a shop for fishies and stuff, then when it came out, it was a CASH shop only, which wasn't what Gaia had led people to think it would be. I hadn't even been there that long at that time, but that was enough for me. I was addicted to zOMG at the time, though that didn't last much longer either.
