w00t for Renee!
Overall the day went well. I received compliments on my skills regarding the cash register and despite the gap in doses for my meds I didn't break down. Yay! I think I'm looking forward to working again tomorrow. |
Congrats you two ^^ I'm glad things are going well for you both =3
|
And how are things going for Nozomi-chan?
|
pretty well, school started up again yesterday, and I have Chinese today so I'm looking forward to that, and I get to see my boyfriend tomorrow ^^
|
Oo, Chinese. :D I wish I had gotten a chance to take that in school.
|
Yeah, I think it will be fun, but we can't speak any english monday and wednesday, so if we have a question and dont know how to say it in chinese, we have to write it down and ask it on friday XD
|
Oh that's ridiculously cool! I wish we had done something similar to that in my high school French class. It would have made the class so much more interesting to me. Now I'm doing independent study and struggling to learn on my own. I'm not very good with self taught material.
|
neither am I, but rosetta stone is really good, I tried my friends bootlegged copy >> but it sticks with you, a little bit of rosetta stone in japanese stuck more than 3 years of german in school XD
|
Somewhere I have a burnt copy of Rosetta Stone for my MacBook for French. I should put forth a better effort to find it or actually buy it. Although there was a website that used something similar for free.. *goes googling*
|
if you find that site can you share it with me? prease? =3
so how are you? |
oh, my thread has died :(
|
Oh, I thought I had posted here the other day!
I was going to tell you that the bookmark is probably on my MacBook which is on the fritz right now. I'll keep an eye out for it while my laptop is working but I can't make any guarantees about finding it and I'm terribly sorry about that. I really like helping people out and sharing links is double the fun, if you ask me. Hah, you killed your own thread! :XD Anyways, during my couple of days off from work we're visiting the in-laws and grandparents on that side of the family. Lots of.. fun? Not really but it's bearable. |
I am such a thread killer that this post will probably be the last one.
It happens here more often than Gaia for some reason. I need HELP! D: |
I'm a thread killer too, Seph. Probably worse than you. O:
|
HOORAY, I'm not the last poster! ...Oh, wait.... *facepalm*
Gotta go to class. I shall return! |
Hehe yes, if you keep making posts... you are more likely to be... THE THREAD KILLER!
|
The horror! D:
Oh, cruel fate- thou hath thrown me into a pit of utter despair, writhing in agony. Why must I have the power to kill innocent threads when they have shown me nothing but kindness?! The pain! It is too much. OTL |
it seems we have some characters here XD welcome ^^
@scribbled- I've been seeing a lot of my boyfriends grandparents lately, though his parents have accepted me as part of the family ^^ I guess I'm pretty lucky :) |
@ zomichan - Haha thanks, glad to be here. :D
I'm always up for earning more gold. XD |
A couple of characters with some awesome looking avatars. :D Hi you two! *waves* Making gold is fun and here's a good place to do it too. *nodnod*
Neither of us particularly enjoy visiting family or having family visit. There's always questions that we don't care to answer; at first it was about when we were going to finish school and start a career, then it was about having babies and now it's about going back to school and starting careers! |
@Scribbled: Yeah, I'm really not a big fan of that. I'm easily swayed by nature, so when people told me I "have to get a career" I went and did stuff I thought would be fun (without thinking too hard on it) and I racked up a huge bill with the government! (student loans)
-Sigh.- ((anyway, yeah, i'm a thread killer alright.)) |
yeah im getting some questions about what i plan to major in and what i see myself doing in that field... and right now i am sooo tired of school, im paying them for courses i dont want to take, and buying expensive books from the "non profit" student bookstore, which is total crap. first semester i spent 475 on books, sold them back in like new condition at the end of the semester and got 83, and i still owed the school 900. how the hell does that work? :/
sorry to rant, school is just becoming rather unpleasant |
School was one of those issues where I didn't have a say; I was going and that was that. Now there are some aspects of university that I really enjoyed and others that I wish I didn't have to deal with now but when it comes down to it I'm willing to say it was a worthwhile experience. That being said, I hate the sheer amount of school related debt I'm in and even worse? I've just recently decided what I really wanted to go to school for (four years too late) and I can't afford to go back to school. Ugh.
|
Sorry to hear that, that really sucks. I'm gonna try to stay in it so i don't let my family down, and so i dont kick myself for not finishing, and if i have a family and i need a job, then I'll have that option too :)
|
Good on you! Just.. don't let it drag you down into the pits of despair. Okay? Hokay.
