oooh a lightning storm! nice (:
|
@Luna - I post here a lot :D I mean...a lot. And now that fishing it out, I can make 500 gold a day from that! I'd have even more gold if I didn't buy a page prize every 50 pages.
@Snow - Don't get electrocuted ^_^;; |
they scare me Dx
ive always wanted to stick a big rod in the sand during one though like they had in a movie just so i can see if it will really make a glass sculpture when it hits it xD |
@Snow - If your rod is tall enough to attract the lightening I suppose it's possible. All you need is really high temperatures to turn sand into glass.
|
OwO *waits for next storm*
|
That would be fun to see, actually. D:
Blargh. Hey everyone. ;o I'm trying to get me some loverly '09 CIs... So far, all I have is Jan '09, July '09, and Sept '09. xD; I may or may not have August '09 soon, too... D: I want the rest though! Especially Feb '09. :< -sobsobboredbored- |
Really? I don't think I've heard that before.
Hello Facade ;) |
hey facade
so how is everyone? =D |
I'm SPLENDID. ;D
And hai to both of you! Tonight is rather uneventful, but I'm sure as hell glad to have some downtime after a hellish first week back to school! ;~; |
you just started school?! =o
lucky Dx |
Back! I just went to feed my puppies. I should probably take a shower next. I need to get squeaky :D
|
=o you have puppies?! OwO
what kind are they? 8D |
We have two female Boston Terriers. One is twelve years old! Her name is Scutter and she's annoying and licks and whines a lot x_x She's gone deaf and mostly blind and her new hobbie is peeing on the floor X_X
And then there's my baby, Niku. She's five and I love her to bitses.:heart::heart: She's my snuggle muffin :D |
Scutter sounds lovely. =D
I'd put diapers on her if it was that bad. ._. Then again, I guess that sounds like something normal to do... I dunno, I haven't had any pets in my life besides fish... Although my dad once had a cat, but that was a brief occurrence. I want a cat or a dog the moment I graduate college and get myself an apartment. ;o Although, I'm not certain which one I want. I like both cats and dogs, and so far other people's opinions haven't affected me. D: |
@Facade - Scutter is a good dog, but she's never been a smart dog and her body is going south in its old age, just like anybody older.
I prefer dogs. But the thing about dogs and apartments is, there's no yard! You have to take them out and walk them frequently. If it's not something you already do, you probably wouldn't want a dog. But with a cat, you have a litter box and you have to maintain it or deal with the stink. All pets are a responsibility you know. |
Yeah, litter box stench is sort of my biggest turn-off of cats. I would MUCH rather walk a dog.
Mainly because, in my opinion, walking the damn thing isn't all that bad. And at least it can be a bonding moment, whereas with cats, cleaning their litter box is more of a chore that they're absent during... And even if they're around, they're not getting a kick out of it. Ultimately, I see more of a connection forming between humans and dogs than humans with cats, but... I'll make that decision later down the road. xP Cats are too anti-social for my tastes - at least, all of the cats I've known. xD They're fat and lazy, and hide everywhere. Dogs tend to be more... present. Still, even with this reasoning, I'm on the fence. :l |
Edit: There's a weird noise out my window..and when I looked..two quail. XD They sound like dogs yipping. XDD mixed with a mouse squeak. Wow..they're awful chatty. lol ..I believe they are the Gambel's quail. :3
Oh yay! Animal talk. <3 I've got a brindle-coat Chihauhau, a rescue cat who was born near a highway, and two leopard geckos. I also had an iguana -one of two that I won once at a fair- I gave the other to this little boy who tried so hard but him and his mom were about to walk away, they seemed sad. So..contrary to my shy nature, I walked up to them and smiled, and said- Here, you may have one of mine. =) So I did that, and the little boy and his mother thanked me, and I felt good of myself..but happy because the little boy seemed almost unbelieving I gave him a baby iguana.<3 The remaining one went home with me to my grandparents' house in NC -this was where the fair was held, and I raised him there. I'm not very good with names, so I named him Lime. :3 Then, when I was sent home from my grandparents' house, I asked that someone take care of Lime, so someone did-my aunt, and she named him Zephyr. Zephyr is now near three feet long and in good health, he couldn't of been in better hands. ^^ ..oh..sorry..I suddenly remember things and ramble on. ^^; |
Ummm.....Hellos. ^^ Oooh, do I hear talk of dogs? I love dogs, and tons of other animals. |
Same here. ^^ I am not like a girl scared of reptiles and rodents, I adore them. 8D
|
I love anything that isn't an insect. =D!
I kill any and all bugs I see/are in my reach. Even spiders. :x If they're in my domain, I kill them. If they're outside, I try not to, though. xD; Although sometimes my self control isn't enough... |
@Facade - I agree. My dog WANTS to snuggle with me. She wants to play with me. Most cats I've met don't. It's a "I'll call you when I want you to feed me" sort of relationship. I really don't get the cat worship. I think the whole "companion animal" phrase really suits dogs more than cats, but that's just me.
@Larele - Wow. So many pets. I won a goldfish at a fair once. And around here you can win bunnies and hermit crabs at the fair. Which seems kind of mean, because that makes it a prize and not a pet and people won't treat them with as much respect and care, because they just won it. Hi Twisted Insanity. ^_^ |
Facade- Aw.. I 'rescue' every spider I see in the house. I've caught a few spiders related to the aggressive Brown Recluse, I just don't see a need to kill. ^^ Oh..how about praying mantis? They're just too cute! <3
For-Chan Cookie- I've had many more.. ^^ Oh..yes, same in Texas, my old home. My dad won a dwarf bunny. :3 ..my little sis loved it dearly. ..oh..yeah..it can be bad for the animals that way..but some people care of them too. |
@Larele - I used to have mice and a few fish. We had two other Boston Terriers before these.
Of course some people are going to take care of fair prize animals, but the easy way they're acquired is going to lead a lot of people to just not. They're disposable animals. =/ |
For-Chan Cookie- I used to have mice too..and a siamese beta. ^^ ..one of my mice..I think was hurt in thr head at one point, or she was overly-aggressive. She would climb my arm when I put my hand in their house, bite me, then hide under my dresser all day. I felt sorry for Powder..she seemed terrified of me. ..I was forced to return her to the pets store. My fish was really pretty! Purple and blue..and some seagreen.. <3
|
@Larele - My first mouse was Slinky. She was white with black spots. She was the best mouse ever. I was sad when she died and even though I had a lot of other mice by then, none of them could replace her. ._.
