Haha my parents are crime drama addicts XD So I guess it just hit me as well

But I have always preferred reading to watching TV (Because then I don't have to wait for next episode lol) And I gotta say the Swedish authors are great ^^

I love NCIS too though, but it's currently no where to be watched on our TV channels >_>

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 11:06 AM

That's the funny thing. I must prefer reading. I don't watch my tv much at all. But suddenly I'm streaming all these shows online. I love streaming television! I suck at watching tv on a schedule. I much prefer being able to sit down and watch it whenever I want, so I think that's the biggest reason for my sudden tv binge.

It looks like Hulu has some episodes streaming. I don't know if they'll play where you are. Sometimes those regional videos can be annoying.

Akutenshi Uke 09-16-2009 11:08 AM

I don't even know that channel T_T I think you need a special connection to watch it here Dx

Well I will be going because there's a bus I have to catch ^^
Good luck with your crime dramas ^^

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 11:14 AM

Ah, Hulu is a website. It's worth looking at, though I don't know if the videos will play for you. Maybe.

All right. Bye now ^_^ Have a nice day!

Antagonist 09-16-2009 11:42 AM

I'm back after disappearing for quite some time :sweat:
This thread certainly has grown! It went from the 1000+ something posts to over 4000 in such a short time! :o

How has everyone been? What'd I miss? :)

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 11:47 AM

It's ok Fading. We understand that people have lives outside of Menewsha. Well, everybody but me XD

We did get pretty big though! We just hit page 300! *boogies* And I hit my very first 10k! *boogies more*

I think you missed lots of talk about food. You know we can't get away from food here. ^_^

Antagonist 09-16-2009 11:53 AM

lol If left unsupervised and without anything to distract me, I'd probably be living my entire life off on here XD The only times I ever leave the dormitories is when I'm in class, sleeping, showering, or am out to look for food...otherwise my butt is nearly always firmly planted in front of the screen xD

Congrats on hitting 11k! My record was 9k I think, then I splurged it all for the Ninja's Arsenal...^_^;;

Aww...darn, I love food :P

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 11:58 AM

Well, I admit, I am currently a NEET or "Not in Employment, Education or Training". So I just vegitate on the computer all day when I should be looking for a new job. I was working at a hotel, but we were having so much crime there. Some lady got mugged in the parking lot on my shift. Another person had their car broken into by a gang of little thirteen year old thugs. Ugh. I needed to leave the job, but I probably should have lined up another one before I quit because I've spent way too much time sitting around on the computer >_> I need a job on the computer !

Thank you. It's not easy, because I buy a thread prize every 50 pages, so every time I hit a new number, I'd be down 750gold for ever Rambling Rose I bought to give away ^_^;

Food is awesome! That's why we always talk about it here!

Antagonist 09-16-2009 12:04 PM

Ouch, that's scary, with crime rates like that happening DDD:
Maybe you could find an office job? Like a secretary perhaps?
I worry about my future life a lot, since I have no idea what I want to be or do after I graduate :(

Oh, wow, that's 4500g spent already on prizes! Go you for being able to keep it up! :o I'd be flat broke if it were me since I don't make that much gold on a stable basis and would be out of it sooner than I can make them ^_^;;
You could try buying something else too maybe? Like, a prize of the winner's own choice as long as it is under the amount of 750g? :P

lol Yes, food is awesome xD I love food, one of my favorites being sashimi @ w @ *mouthwaters*

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 12:13 PM

It was! And I'm a girl! Working in a hotel, the only staff there until 11pm. Even though there is a door you need a key to get into, you still open it for potential new clients and who knows who you're letting in. They didn't tell me they'd been robbed before I was hired -_-

I don't know what I want to be when I grow up...and technically, I'm already grown up D: Crap! I hope I find something fun :D

Yeah, I've spent a lot on my Wallflowers! But I really don't spend it on anything at the moment. Once I put a nice outfit on, I tend to stick with it for a while. And I have enough commons from events that I can sort of mix it up for a while. So it's not a really big deal. Anyway, I though a flower item was appropriate for the Wallflowers thread and I wanted it to be a cool flower item, not just a bouquet or something. Not everybody wants a bouquet, but the rambling rose is neat....I still have yet to buy one for myself XD

I'm not a big sushi fan. For Japanese food I prefer having some okonomiyaki or yakisoba or tempura. :drool:

Antagonist 09-16-2009 12:22 PM

I'm sure you'll find something that suits you someday :D
For now I guess I'll try and get a stable job as a whatever after graduating, just so that I have a job and have income, before worrying about finding something I like...maybe I'll end up as a convenience store cashier xD Though I'll definitely avoid the night shifts because robberies tend to happen a lot there >.>;;

lol You should buy one for yourself! XD

Oooh I love those two! Not tempura as much because it's slightly too oily for my tastes, but okonomiyaki and yakisoba are delicious! *drool* The only kinds of sushi and sashimi I eat are salmon too...for some reason the others just don't taste as good as salmon o 3o;

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 12:26 PM

I will. Hopefully sooner than later.

Yeah, I'd avoid late night shifts at convenience stores D:

I'll get myself one eventually, when I have something I want to wear it with. :D

My brother really likes tuna sushi. I'm just not very good with sushi. I've tried a bunch and it just doesn't do anything for me. I can't eat it. I like the occasional fried food, so I love shrimp tempura and tempura fried veggies. Mmm. And I really love okonomiyaki and yakisoba! I lived in San Francisco for a little while and they had such awesome Japanese food in Japan Town. I miss it so damn much! Where I am now, everyone considers Japanese food to be just sushi. I can't get okonomiyaki anywhere ;_; I have found a place that serves mochi ice cream though. Man, I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE Mochi ice cream! It is amazing!

Antagonist 09-16-2009 12:36 PM

Oooh I love mochi! But never mochi icecream because my teeth are sensitive and everytime I bite into it my teeth goes 'Aaaah!' and I go 'Oww!!' Dx

I love matcha milk * w * It's one of my favorite drinks, but pretty expensive so I rarely buy it...speaking of all these food is making me reeeally hungry now XD

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 12:42 PM

Aww. No fun having sensitive teeth. Mochi plus ice cream is a really great combo. The cold creamy ice cream plus the soft chewiness of mochi is awesome! I love red bean mochi ice cream. It's my favorite. Of course, regular red bean mochi is good too. ^_^

Calpico is one of my favorite Japanese drinks. It's so tangy and delicious! I love the strawberry one, but any one will do in a pinch :heart: Again, unfortunately, I can't get it where I am ;_; Dammit. I'm making myself hungry and thirsty for stuff I can't have!

This is why people smack me. Because we always end up talking about food in the thread. Which is why we ended up making a cafe RP thread XD It all comes back to food!

Antagonist 09-16-2009 01:00 PM

Ooh, calpico is great! Though I rarely drink it because it's a bit expensive and I usually end up buying something else instead due to my shrinking wallet D:

Ahaha XD I end up talking about food a lot too IRL with my friends, we talk about restaurants and where to eat a LOT XD Then we'd all get hungrier and hungrier and end up going to get something to eat...and then blaming each other for making ourselves hungry and eating too much >.>;;

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 01:03 PM

I love calpico! It wasn't that expensive in San Francisco. But then when you have a whole little area of the city full of Japanese people and Japanese stores, it's a little easier to acquire you know. I miss that.

Well everybody needs to eat, so talking about food is inevitable! Plus it's fun to go out to eat places with your friends :D

Antagonist 09-16-2009 01:10 PM

Yeah, I love trying out different places to eat x3

Unfortunately, our college is in a very...downsided place in the city so there aren't many shops available in the area D: We'd need a scooter or two to be able to get to other parts of the city where the better foods are, but those cost gas and I'm usually too lazy to be bothered with going out anyway, so it's always the same foods for me >.>;

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 01:13 PM

Make someone cook for you XD Throw a wild barbecue or something.

Antagonist 09-16-2009 01:20 PM

Can't, since our school doesn't allow that because they think we'll burn down the building or something Dx

BBQs are love 0 w 0

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 01:23 PM

Same for us in our dorms. My first year there, you could cook in there. But eventually, so many idiots were putting stuff on the stove or in the oven and then wandering off and setting off the fire alarms when it burned, that they decided that you could only boil water in the kitchens. To actually cook, I'd have to walk down six flights of stairs to use a kitchen that connected two buildings together. So one stove for 9 floors of people to share. -_-

BBQs are awesome :D

Antagonist 09-16-2009 01:34 PM

We don't even have a stove...no fire at all. :(
If we want food, we'd have to go out and buy it already made, without being able to cook it ourselves unless it were salad...

Mmm...I can almost taste it in my mouth :drool:
I just have to go out to a restaurant, a good, proper restaurant, soon! I'd go crazy like this sooner or later :illgetu:

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 01:40 PM

Ugh. Can you have a microwave in your room at least? Or a coffee pot? We could have those. Just not toasters or real cooking type things. You can make oatmeal and ramen with a coffee pot.

Antagonist 09-16-2009 01:48 PM

Nope. :( If we tried that we'd only end up having the power jump and then leave us in the dark for three days, according to the security team who said that if the power jumps and it was because we used something that we shouldn't have (coffee pots, stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, etc), then we wouldn't get our electricity back until three days later and we'd have to do some volunteer work to 'pay off' for the punishment :x

For-Chan Cookie 09-16-2009 01:51 PM

I think they're telling you that crap to scare you out of using appliances. Power outlets don't know what you're plugging into them. =/

Antagonist 09-16-2009 01:53 PM

Actually, they do. We get flashes of our lights when the power jumps for the entire building and get momentarily plunged into darkness until the lights come back on a few seconds later...Dx

I've also known people who've plugged their blow dryers into the socket on the desk and had their lights go out too...bleagh D:
