I think this picture is a little better, it shows all the parts. It did sound weird to me at first, but that's how you do it. I watched a chef do it with a rounded frying pan on a gas burner on tv, so it's not that far out I guess.
I always found those big round flat top professional crepe makers to be pretty cool, the way they use those little wooden spreading sticks to spread the batter all the way to the edges. I love those crispy edges too.
@Cuppy - I'm making myself hungry! I might just have to pull out M'sieur Crepe and make some :D But I also have some rice krispies down there waiting to be turned into rice krispie treats....

D: I'll have to look into different cooking appliances for crepes then. I know somewhere in my house I have a flat round top for the stove where I can cook things like pancakes.
.__. I also got hungry, so I went off and made my special chocolate milk mix *i just mix 2 different powdered mixes and chocolate syrup in milk, then shake it in a shaker* Tastes reaall good x ox

I wonder if I could make crepes on the griddle I have (griddle = flat pan ... most people make pancakes on it, including me XD)

Sorry, didn't mean to make everyone hungry. It just seems inevitable that we move back to food XD
@Dyr3 - Sure. You'd have less control over their shape and thickness though, because crepes are supposed to be very thing. You might have to find one of those funny wooden things that professionals use to spread their batter with.
And now I'm looking at a professional waffle maker on woot. I want it. I want it! Though I doubt it will be able to produce waffles as delicious as the ones I had while I was in Belgium. *drooooools*

Thanks Cuppy. You gotta watch out for those wafflemakers! They make the waffles, but they also guard them jealously! D:

I have a belgian waffle maker. it's pretty nice XD i like the old one we have but it got burnt up in a fire T_T
I think i'd just need a block of wood to smooth around the batter... I should be able to come up with something. :o crepes are yummyyyy. I've never made any before though. o.o;

We have a regular old cheap home waffle maker that I don't really care for.
Crepes are pretty easy to make and they're really versatile too! You can make them sweet or savory and put allllll sorts of things in them. I love them with jam or fruit.

I just looked one up to make XD Alton Brown comes through! Alton Brown's Crepe recipe
And I just went to make the mix. I'll let it set and make them later and tell everyone how they were :D
I also made some rice krispy treats. I'm such a baking fairy in the middle of the night XD

Same here xD I usually skip past the sigs unless it's something really catchy :P
Yeah. I hate how it's so humid here, I go out for five minutes and I get sticky all over. D:

Oddly, for the last day or two, it's been a little cool out and not so muggy. I don't know why, but I like it. I'm happy that fall is close, because things tend to cool down at least a little around here.

We don't have fall...or rather, we don't have winter and only have fall/winter. The lowest temperature we've ever got was like 7 degrees Celcius, but most of the time they're always at least above 15 xD;;
It's as hot and humid as ever today D; *sticky*

Yeah, we don't have much of a fall/winter either. You can still walk around outside barefoot in "winter" but it tends to cool down a little, enough for a sweater at least and every once in a while there's frost. Last year we had a little snow! For an hour or two and then it all melted. But for the most part we still have hot yucky days even then.

Wow, it never snows here D: If we want to see snow we have to go all the way up into the mountains to see it, and it's only one or two days too during those cold days too that it snows >_> Everytime the news say that there 'might' be snow in the mountains, a huge flock of people all clamour up there just to see the white fluffy cold stuff xD

That sounds so sweet. Where did you work? ^^
I remember when I did work experience at a primary school with year 3 children. They all wrote in this big handmade card for me, and it is so sweet. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I read it sometimes.

I work as a private tutor for these two girls (age 10 and 11), it's just a small part-time summer job since my dad wants me to get some job experience before I graduate from college ^^;
They also wrote a card each for me too, it was awesome. I'm still feeling all warm and fuzzy right now x3 It's a shame that I have to leave the job since we're all starting school again soon and my college is three hours away from my home where I am right now D:
