And mods there have such double standards. I know someone who was told that even though a mod was going after them for something that a different mod disagreed with, the first mod was right because the mods aren't allowed to disagree with each other or some stupid shit like that. It's obvious they have low mod standards and no guidelines.

That's why we need a tek-tek like site, so we don't have to worry about updating the MAC and having it out of date all the time.

Random bans is when one day you try to log on and suddenly find that you can't...and take about a week to file in appeals and all that other crap to find out why, only to find some random excuse like 'botting' slapped in your face.

I'm not sure about the double standards there for the mods, since I've never gotten acquainted with a mod on Gaia, though I do know that they have one heck of a snobby attitude. The ones I contacted regarding my banned account all either ignored me or told me to go file another Inquiry and just brushed me off.

I'm not sure about the newbie message thing, it's probably something new because I didn't get one of those when I made my mule o.O; Isn't there a Dismiss button beside the message or anything? D:

I've had several friends on gaia that got slapped with a botting ban, when they didn't do it.
And I remember for awhile there, you had to watch out from refreshing too much.

@Fading - I know they happen, but it seems Gaia has to be pretty damn incompetant and dickish to let it happen. =P

I don't know any mods there either, but a friend of mind does and was talking about the situation.

I'm sure that this thing is a new features and there is no dismiss button. Most likely, because they want people to introduce themselves and not just dismiss it. Hopefully, it will go away in a day or so or when my mule starts a topic (if it ever does).

@Emfy - That sucks. And yes, their gold fro browsing really opened up an exploitation point. People will just refresh to earn gold, putting programs on to refresh every so many seconds. Yet another reason it's good that Mene doesn't have that crap.

I think they fixed that back in '05 of '06 where you couldn't refresh and get money?
But yeah, I remember when people use to that that to get money.
I was always so paranoid when I refreshed threads to see if anyone replied...

I rarely refresh my pages on Gaia....I just post around a lot. And have about three tabs open on different pages of Gaia. And spend over 6 hours a day on the site. Maybe one of them triggered the 'OMGZBOT!!1!' button and got me banned.

@Fading - I understand why they have it set like that. Maybe they should have a little thing that lets you verify that you're a mule to make it go away. XD But that's just if it doesn't go away on it's own. There must come a point where it does. Hopefully after posting a new thread somewhere.

I tend to always have at least two tabs open for Mene. For Gaia, unless I'm doing something there (which I rarely am these days) it's one tab, sometimes two during events and stuff.

@Emfy - Well, if they did fix that, people have found newer better exploits, like the "free Gaia cash" to get rich off of.

I don't really know much about the newer bots.
Wasn't exactly too interested to find out.
