anyone here? I'm having issues... and you know the issues are bad when i turn to the internet people to get me to feel better.

not exactly... my best friend told me he's not attracted to my personality. I'm completely in love with the guy... and he also said he can't love me. I'm aftaid to let go cause i've held on for so long. I hardly know how to function with out him. I'm afraid he'll find a new best friend and i'll just be a good close friend... i don't know what he meant by he isn't attracted to my personality.

and i don't know what to do anymore.

:( thats icky. I'm really sorry that happened. You should try talking to him about it again, get him to clarify what he said. And you have to let him know how you feel, that you still want him to be your best friend. And i know it seems like the end of the world, no offense, right now but its not. do your best to be with him and hang out with him but know that he isn't really the whole world and you can function without him IF it comes to that. Just talk to him. If he really is your best friend, and has been, you can be honest with him and work through it by talking. Hopefully. :) I hope this helps.

yeah... only, he's apparently too tired to talk right now and figured that i'd want to be alone today so he hadn't talked to me much today... he says that i'll always be his best friend, but he can't exactly promise me that... and for me, i barely know how to function with out the hope of him someday loving me back... i know it's not the end of the world, and that there are plenty of other guys out there, but i don't even remember how to flirt too well any more or even like anyone else... I've loved my best friend for about 3 years or so now...

Flirting isn't really all that easy if you don't do it naturally anyway, so don't worry about that. It'll come to you when the need comes. :) At least he says that your still his best friend and that he does want that to stay. Take comfort in that. If he's too tired to talk right now, that's okay. You can talk to him tomarrow. That'll give you enough time to think about what it is you want to say and how to say it. Something you have to remember is that people do change as their life keeps going. The same will happen to you. Right now, the whole idea of not being around him just sucks because of how long you've loved him and just the fact that you do love him. But you will change, and he will change, and maybe that change will cause the two of you to go different paths that aren't together. Mema, you can get through this, you can function, I promise :)

I think it's wonderful that you have found someone to love at your age (sorry for snooping to see your age) and for 3 years. But I do want to voice that there are different kinds (or shades) of love. And maybe he can't say he loves you, but that in no way means he doesn't care about you or that your friendship has lost any meaning. It might just be that he can't put into term how he feels about you, or that he's never thought about you 'that way' before. There is and always will be the chance that he will one day love you back. I hope that you will remain friends at the least. I've found that as you age you start exploring deeper meanings to love, and find that while those you loved when you were younger still and always will hold a special place in your heart, you don't love them the same way anymore.

I hope you don't let this get you down, and you give him some time to think about what you've said and let him come up with less of a knee jerk reaction. Talk with him tomorrow, I know that will make tonight hell-ish, but you might just find that this will be a good thing.

Thanks sally. It's fine that you snooped to find my age. I don't mind too much. and i know what you mean by when i'm older the ones i loved won't be the same as when i loved them. People change, and i'm a person. Feelings change and sometimes you can't control it. I thank you for your outlook on this, and i'll do my best to talk to him, but it depends alot on him being eilling to talk to me as well. I don;t think i could exactly cry much more, though when i get off the computer, i'll get to thinking about it and probably end up crying some more. He's apparently stressed because i'm so down, even though he kinda brought it on his self. i think my biggest problem is letting go of him again... (long sad story i don't wanna go into) and not have him come back to me. i let him go once, and he came back, but i'm not so sure about the second time around. I suppose that's what scares me the most. I don't want to lose him and it frightens me to think of it, especially knowing it's a possibility. I also have a hard time finding a good guy around here so that scares me as well. I don't even know if anyone around here finds me that attractive. But oh well. Thanks for your input. And i will try my best to talk to him. Especially cause he promised he'd start to talk to me a bit more than he had been, and so far, he's not exactly kept his word on it. but time will tell, right? :]


And @Kion: Yeah, i know people change. But yeah... I'm just basically forcing myself to do anything really. if i had a choice, i'd stay in my room in the corner on my bed with the pillows around me and my comforter wrapped around me and bunched up in my arms as i just sat there and thought or colored. I've had a rough week lately.. i also ended up at the ER on sunday night because my tummy hurt so bad i was crying and then yesterday i had to have 2 blood draws done 2 hours apart, to test for diabetes.... so i've had needles poked in me alot lately to the point that i'd prefer to have a bunch of stuff poked into me than have to deal with this... and needles make me sick... it's a stress induced reaction thing that starts with a v that some people get. (stress like needles or something to the point that if you're sitting up, you're tend to get nauseated and dizzy and start to pass out if you're not watched carefully enough. i almost passed out once. It was interesting)
