I rely solely on translators and whatever little Japanese I can manage to make out XD (mostly sound effects, like "hahahaha", "aaaah", etc...)

well, i know some small phrases in japanese and can kinda guess what's going on. =3 i made a chart of the characters into a bookmarker for easy reference. hehe..--;; i know it's kinda dorky but it's all good. =3

lol I just Google whatever character I don't recognize XD
I skip over the Hirigana though...can't for my life understand those x__x It's mostly Kanji and Katakana for me.

lol, my "bookmarker" is hiragana and katakana. there are only a few chinese characters that i know and they are NEVER in any manga that i've read... --;; i know my name in hanja (chinese characters pronounced in korean), and a few others... hehe...
