=3 It's a lot of fun. I actually stopped doing my school plays because I just like the environment more. It's more positive and friendly.

Pffa... :XD The best part is, non christians feel comfortable being around us because they know we're not going to force anything on them. We tell them we're here to talk about it if need be, but that's all. We want them to come to us. See, people are like cats: it has to be their idea or it's not a good one.

Well, and that's where the big misconception is with us.
If you aren't insterested and don't want it, we don't shove it in your face.
I've never met ONE Witness who "forced" their religion on anybody.
The preaching work is just an educational thing.
"Here, have these magazines!"
"Here, take this bible study."
You're not required to DO anything.

xD I like that Kani! I've had christian friends that have tried to 'save' me, and christian friends that were just really understanding and didn't push it on me. So I've seen both sides.. and in the end I like people who can take a joke and be respectful. Doesn't matter Methodist, Mormon, Jesuit, Pagan, etc. xD ...black.. white, gay, straight, abstinent, etc. xD; I'm done..
Anyway, yes! Brownies! -noms on one-

The problem is those who DO do it like that Olea... People take the bad example and shove that stereotype on all of us. Churches are seen as money-grubbing because most are... It's sad, but true...

I've yet to see a church that doesn't hand out the donations plate things (what are they even called?). :\
We have little boxes in the back of the Hall for donations. Lol.

xD; Sorry Kani, people love their stereotypes. It seems easier to talk about negative things incessantly instead of positive things. Because people will analyze why it's bad. Mom, Dad, Pastor, money, kids, etc. But they can't seem to analyze why it's positive at all. Mostly conversations about positive things come down to "and this was a good thing today!" "indeed, that is a good thing" the end. T_T; Tis sad..

Same for us Olea. We have a box in the back of the room. :XD We don't have a church, so we rent out a dance studio for our Gatherings. Our pastors will say something like. "Give if you feel led to" But that's it.

Yeah, we base it off of this scripture:
Quote:
|
7 Let each one do just as he has resolved in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

The entire organization has been run off of voluntary donations for it's entirety.

Zylinder: I wish more people would think like that.. you know when I was sixteen my classmates said I should be burned like a witch, because I told them I didn't believe in God... it might have just been teasing... but that really hurt
