Ahh, were you not expecting to go out to such a nice place? I've had that happen to me. Someone will ask me to join them for dinner, and I'll show up and they'll be like, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, we are going to this really nice place", and I'm just like, FFFFFFF.

No, we set out with no particular destination in mind. My aunt was like "Oh! I've always wanted to try this place!" So we went. We parked int eh back and she asked this guy out there if we could go in the back door and he was like "Sure" and let us in....through the kitchens! We had to walk up through the kitchens with everyone staring at us! And then when we got out into the restaurant proper, it was so fancy I was like O_O! "We are so under dressed!" I was wearing an ugly gray t-shirt that said " got out of bed for this?" And she was wearing a Harley Davidson t-shirt -_-;

I'm rather surprised that they let us sit down without reservations. They could have been all "LOL No!"

Oh man, I would have felt really bad too. Probably bad enough that I would have refused to eat there, x_x; I'm really stupid like that, but I believe in proper etiquette and I have high social standards for myself.

Well, if they were going to let us, that's fine. If a place seems really fancy, I have the manners to be there and the money to cover it so screw anyone else who has their head too far up their ass. :P

I don't think it is a matter of being stuck up. Rather, I think it has more to do with attracting a certain clientele that might be of the more business class origin. Imagine if you were in a concert hall, and someone walked in with swimming trunks and a tank top on. It would kinda detract from the professional feeling that it would bring.

@zazabar - This is Louisiana. There's always a strange clash of people. There were other people not terribly dressed for the place, just not as under dressed as us XD And I think someone in swim trunks in a concert hall is awesome :rofl:

Clearly we have different tastes in awesome, XD; I mean, as a prank or something, it would be cool. But if I were to ever go to a concert and see someone really dressed like that, I would feel like they weren't taking the performance seriously. The same would go if I were a performer. If I was up on stage at a really professional event, and someone walked in like they just came from the pool, I'd be slightly upset.
