@Upi - Cookie is fine ^_^ We were looking at an article about female serial killers on Mental Floss, so now we're discussing stuff in that vein.
@Fading - Yeah, like the fan followings of serial killers. That's so damn creepy! Worse yet, when they become copy cat killers and stuff. x_x

About a website called Mental Floss xD It has some interesting stuff on it :yes:
http://www.mentalfloss.com/
@Cookie: I always find the copy cat killers baffling. They're being really unoriginal...and what's to gain by mimicking another killer and then getting arrested and charged, ruining their life later on? :|

*goes to check out site*
There haven't been that many female serial killers i don't think, Most crimes by woman are emotionally based crimes.
Edit:i have seem to have killed the thread

@Fading - Who knows what's so great about copying another killer? For that matter, what's so great about killing people!? :gonk: Humans are so messed up.
@Upi - 8 Prolific Female Serial Killers is the article that got us started on this topic.

I suppose it's one of the downsides for being one of the most 'intelligent' creatures on this planet. >__>;

@Fading - Yeah, Natural Selection doesn't work as well on us. -_-
And we develop a lot of weird eccentricities not exactly great for our fellow man or the rest of the planet.

Yep xD
Sometimes I'd weird myself out >_>;
Have you read the articles on the Angels of Death? There're three and they're pretty interesting. I always think that if a patient truly is suffering, and they consent, then they should be allowed to die. Keeping them alive is only adding to their misery. If I get into an accident and become paralyzed, I'd rather die and 'go on to the next big adventure' of the afterlife than lie in a bed, unable to move or speak, for the next fifty years.

I don't really weird myself out so much as I will freak myself out with my overactive imagination, like thinking something is chasing me up the stairs or something ;_;
I haven't read that one yet, but that reminds me of a story. When I was in high school, a friend's older sister got pregnant and married the guy. But after the baby was born, the guy abused the baby. He shook it, which for a baby is bad. He ended up doing all sorts of damage to it and it nearly died, but doctors saved it. But the baby had extensive brain damage, it was deaf and mostly blind, and all sorts of other issues. She'll never speak or walk or do much of anything other than sit in an oversized stroller and live in her own little world. It sort of makes you think that the doctors should have let her go so she wouldn't have to live such a life.
If I ever find myself in such a situation, I'd hope that my family would do the right thing and pull the plug on me. Let someone have my organs and let me go. *is an organ donor*
Hey Fuyumi! We're reading mental floss and it's getting us on all sorts of deep subjects like serial killers, copy cat killers, and euthanasia.

Yeah. I'd probably try fighting back against a coma for a couple of years, but if after the couple of years and I show no signs of waking up...well, best just let me go. And maybe donate my organs if they're still usable.

But if you're in a coma in the first place, something bad must have happened to you. There's no guarantee that upon waking you'll still have any sort of quality of life. You might be paralyzed or your muscles might have atrophied, you might have horrible brain damage. Depending on the type of coma, I think I still might want to have the plug pulled. And that reminds me of a terrible Harry Potter AU fic I read where they give Harry a terminal disease and everyone thinks he's gonna make it and then, nope, he dies.
Moving along, that's what we're talking about! Maybe it is a bit creepy, but it's interesting!

Ack. I'm glad I didn't come across that one. I hate sad stories. :(
Yeah, it depends, but I'd still like the chance of waking up if possible and not too much damage had been acquired. After all, I still like my life and I'd at least like to see it again before I truly die. Though if there is an afterlife then I wouldn't need to worry I guess...
Off for a shower now, my eyes are going to pop. :sweat:

Yeah. It was senselessly tragic. They just did the death for cheap angst, because obviously they were a hack with no talent >_>
Is there an afterlife? One of those things that you can't know until you actually die. D:
Well if you're off to the shower, I'll just follow you! :insane: Just kidding, I should pop into bed for a while. Bye bye ^_^

@Fading
Ah, I see ^^ that sounds fun. I have never really been to mental floss before. I wonder if they would be considered a credible source for my homework...
@For-chan
ew...serial killers. I don't like that kinda dark stuff. Things like serial killers, and Hannibal Lecter freak me out >_<
It is interesting though sometimes, despite the whole..gross..situations and stuff.
