For-Chan Cookie 10-13-2009 07:15 AM

*hugs Mar-Mar and Wifey*

Marguerite Blakeney 10-13-2009 07:17 AM

;______; I always wonder if it's even worth it. I didn't study in middle school, yet in high school I was on the honor roll, and people wanted to start drama with me. Dunno what was the better prize.

For-Chan Cookie 10-13-2009 07:19 AM

@Mar-Mar - I think feeling like you've learned something is the most important part.

Marguerite Blakeney 10-13-2009 07:21 AM

And none of us got that?

white2fire 10-13-2009 07:23 AM

@Mar-Mar: I always had someone who was better than me. And at our school it used to be rare to not be on the honer roll. (not that it was too hard to be smart) I actually stopped studying in high school and yet got the same grades.
In all honesty I'd rather avoid drama. It annoys the hell outa me and I can live without. Drama is just a way of trying to get attention for yourself. And ironically enough it happens at my moms house. I was almost pulled into it before I decided that I was acting really stupid.

@Cookie: You don't learn any more in school after middle/high school. At least not the important stuff like how to live in the real world. Even jobs have those clique things going on. >_< It's all the same which really sucks cause then there are 30/40 year olds who act more like kids than their kids do.

Marguerite Blakeney 10-13-2009 07:34 AM

Parents acting more like kids. Yeah. My mom has a Facebook. She leaves frilly comments on everybody's pages and is like "OHMIGOD, SHOW OFF MY CAR!!!" in regards to me adding her pictures. "NO TAKE THAT ONE OUT, I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO SEE THAT ONE!"

*eyeroll* That's really just sad.

For-Chan Cookie 10-13-2009 07:39 AM

@Wifey - It's a sad state of affairs isn't it? When adults act like their in some cool kids clique.

@Mar-Mar - I swear that my mom is 16 in her head. She has a Myspace, but she's so computer illiterate, she doesn't so much with it. And don't even get me started about her and spam mail. She thinks that the spam she gets is a conspiracy -_-

Marguerite Blakeney 10-13-2009 07:39 AM

Cookie: ROFLMAO! It's the same with my mom!

white2fire 10-13-2009 07:51 AM

@Mar-Mar: yep. My mom's problem isn't with her relationship with the computer. But she's just not a good mother. I actually hear her say that she'd rather go without food than without fast internet. >_<
And that is showing right now cause she can't get food stamps at the moment so she's looking for food in other places instead of buying it herself. I think she's gone to a few community drives/food banks or something.
It's weird at her house.

For-Chan Cookie 10-13-2009 07:51 AM

My mom will call me downstairs to make sure the spam in her box isn't really from the government and I just want to :headdesk:

She's even convinced that my Dad's new wife is sending her spam to brag about how she stole my dad away.

@Wifey - That sounds not cool. =/ *hugs*

white2fire 10-13-2009 07:52 AM

@Cookie: I actually wouldn't be surprised at the last part. Things like that happen. And people do like to brag. But man, that's really bad.
 yeah...
I could probably tell more but I can't think and I don't really need to. :D

For-Chan Cookie 10-13-2009 08:00 AM

@Wifey - My dad's new wife is a complete and utter bitch and she's done some shitty ass things to my mom, but in this particular case, it's more than likely just my mom being paranoid and ridiculous. The spam is to "Maria Smith." Our last name is Smith and it's the most common one in the last world. The new wife's name is Victoria. But apparently her middle name is Maria, also a really freaking common name. But my mom is convinced that the woman is sending her a newsletter of places she's supposedly gone with my dad or something. It's really twisted and messed up, but it really is just spam. My mom just doesn't know how to use a damn spam filter and she never deletes the stuff! She has millions of spam messages in her box. Even after we signed her up for a brand new gmail account and told all her friends she was moving from her spam filled aol account to the gmail one, she still signs onto the aol one to check her spam! She's ridiculous and frustrating.
