I love older kitties too. While kittens are so adorable and squee-ee, I have a special place in my heart for full grown, big kitties. Some older cats end up staying forever in shelters because everyone wants kittens. :( Our cats are getting up there - we have 2 twelve year old sisters, and a 15 year old male. All tabbies; the male is a longhair and the other two are shorthairs.

@Renee: My dad has one cat that's...maybe 10 years old or so. My mom has one that's I think a year old now. We didn't get them at a shelter, we know a few of people who have kittens each spring, so when we needed/wanted one, we asked them first. |

Each spring? I'm assuming they must be cat breeders, yes? That or they're just too poor to afford the spaying for the female and the female sticks to a regular schedule? :P

Ooh, well if they live more out in the country/in the barn/have a rodent problem, then lots of cats are a good thing, as long as it's manageable. ^_^
Our two girls were originally barn cats, but you wouldn't know it. They've been indoor cats for the longest time, the most they chase is string and insects. :XD I gotta head out for a doctor's appointment - be back later! |
