I never did get what Lucky Star was about. >_>;

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 02:29 PM

@Fading - I don't know, but there was a very involved conversation about how to eat a cream pastry. Ugh. I mean, the moe factor alone had fanboys everywhere watching it. It didn't have to be about anything.

Sephiroth 11-06-2009 02:31 PM

...Weird. x_x

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 02:33 PM

Yeah. I had a friend who liked it. But she seems to like a lot of stuff that turns out to be utter crap. The worst part is, she thinks she has such great tastes and reviews bad anime like its fine wine or something. She's ridiculous.

Sephiroth 11-06-2009 02:36 PM

Well, as long as my friends don't chew my ears out with their tastes that I have no interest in, I'm find with whatever they're watching. It's only when they try to shove their obsession onto my when I hate it that drives me crazy.

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 02:38 PM

I listen to my friends talk about their favorite things. As long as they don't try to make me watch them x_x Like, one friend enjoys Twilight! She's not a super uber fan, but she read all the books and enjoyed them, said they're not that bad. They're just not really good either.

Sephiroth 11-06-2009 02:41 PM

Listening to them occasionally is fine, since I tend to do so too every once in a while. But when they wouldn't stop talking about it and then insisting that you should watch it too...it snaps a few strings in my fragile head. :sweat:

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 02:41 PM

Yeah. We're friends, but geez! We don't have to watch all the same crap. Go find someone else to squee over it with.

Sephiroth 11-06-2009 02:45 PM

Luckily all my current friends are quite understanding about that issue with each other so we rarely get into one of those chew-one-another's-ears-out sessions. XD;

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 02:47 PM

@Fading - That's good. I talk to most of my friends about stuff online. So if they go on about it, I just don't read it :rofl:

Antagonist 11-06-2009 02:51 PM

Haha! Nice XDDD

I'm rarely on my messenger, so even if they start going hyper over something, they wouldn't be able to bother me because I'm not even online. :P

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 02:52 PM

Well, most of my friends live so far away, that's how we talk. Sometimes they do it on the phone, but not as much.

Antagonist 11-06-2009 02:54 PM

We rarely talk on the phone too. The cost is too high if we talk too long <_< >_>;; We see each other nearly everyday too, so it's not necessarily needed ^^;

But yeah, long-distance relationships would require quite a bit of online-ing. >_<

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 02:58 PM

The internet is what makes all my friends so far away! I meet them that way XD I've visited most of them though. The friends I have here live two hours away. Ugh, such a drive.

Antagonist 11-06-2009 03:06 PM

That's far DDD:

So far we all live near each other, as we're still in college, but after we graduate we're all going to be separated too. The Internet and our cellphones would be the only things still connecting us then x_x

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 03:14 PM

It is far and it's a boring drive through a lot of swamps and empty spaces. x_x

I didn't go to school here, so I have no school friends here. I don't usually make friends with people I work with, so none of those either. And I'm anti-social, so, no friends here! D:

Antagonist 11-06-2009 03:19 PM

Ouch >.<

At least you still have your online friends ^^

*is pretty anti-social IRL too, and usually does not go out the room unless it's for food*

For-Chan Cookie 11-06-2009 03:28 PM

Yeah, it's not a drive that you want to make when you're tired x_x

Of course, I have some online friends that faded out pretty quick, but I have a few that I've had forever. They're real friends, not just someone you meet online and talk to for a while then never see again. D:

That's pretty much mere. >_> I need a job so I go out more.

Antagonist 11-06-2009 03:29 PM

Same here XD;

I dunno if I have any 'true' friends off the Internet yet...I mean, I've made some awesome friends, but whenever one of us leaves a site, we just lose contact.

Endrance? O.O

Good afternoon, anyone home?

Kidalanna 11-07-2009 05:21 AM

This seems like a nice idea. I know I have a few issues with talking to people, especially in the real world. Jumping into conversations can be frightening. o.o

Anywhoodles, what are all of you up to? :3

For-Chan Cookie 11-07-2009 05:26 AM

Hi Kidalanna. Not much going on in here at the moment. People have almost completely abandoned the regular threads in favor of the event threads D: And those are so busy. I'm trying to juggle them now.

white2fire 11-07-2009 05:36 AM

Hey there Kida! *waves* Eh, not much. Just kinda floating around cyperspace. And you?

Kidalanna 11-07-2009 05:37 AM

Ah, too true. Perhaps I should move over to the event version of this thread to assist you in keeping up with your balancing act.

For-Chan Cookie 11-07-2009 05:44 AM

Sometimes I like the slower pace of hiding in here and letting them chatter over there XD Then I can do other things while I talk instead of feeling like I have to focus completely on that thread.
