What kind of books do yall like? I'm surrounded by them all day, every day, so maybe I'll have some good recommendations for you :-)

daemon_lucifer 11-18-2009 09:36 PM

I like them all! What is on your mind as a good read at the moment?

@white: i just realized my question about said challenge was meant for Jelly....sorry, but thanks for the info anyway! ^^;

Naoto-chan22 11-18-2009 09:36 PM

*walks in Nekkid* Are we happy now??*covers up bottoms*

For-Chan Cookie 11-18-2009 09:37 PM

*snuggles Wifey*

@Naoto - You beat people up because you're naked? That is...interesting o.o

white2fire 11-18-2009 09:37 PM

@Dae: Eh, no problem. ^^

@Cookie: *pets tail* XD

daemon_lucifer 11-18-2009 09:38 PM

We are happy now...and why am i the only guy that ever comes in here on a regular basis? I feel odd...>>

What do the people you beat up while nakkid respond with, Nao?

@Cookie: Are you holding a cookie?

JellybeanInc 11-18-2009 09:38 PM

@Red: It's a challenge to read 50 books (or as many as you want really) by the end of a year.

@Kika: I love all kinds of books. Lately I've been into Vampire, Murder mysteries, thriller, and Victorian romance/mystery books (like the stuff Amanda Quick writes).

@Nao; Whoo! Your nakie!

@Dae: That just makes you doubley special. *hugs*

Kika988 11-18-2009 09:38 PM

Whoooo nekkid!! lol

Right now I'm reading Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy. I hasn't 'sucked me in' like alot of series do(probably because the romance element is very background), but it is very well written and definitely enjoyable... lots of characters to get attached to!

Have any of yall read the Mortal Instruments series, or the Hunger Games? Neither are really vampire books... not sure if the Hunger Games even qualifies as fantasy, but I HIGHLY recommend both of them!

daemon_lucifer 11-18-2009 09:40 PM

You guys should go check out my story Twisted on dA, the link is in my siggy...it is epic, romance, violence, and more...and all about LUCIFER!!!!!! And other various characters...

Last series i read was the Young Wizards Series...I am looking for some old plays/older books. I want a personal copy of The Divine Comedy, but have yet to save up money for it...

For-Chan Cookie 11-18-2009 09:40 PM

*purrs at Wifey* :heart:

@Daemon - I am indeed holding a cookie. It is only fitting that Cookie has a cookie!

redfire0123 11-18-2009 09:41 PM

i love all kinds of books im trying to not to read homecoming from the ghostgirl series by tonya hurley right now

Kika988 11-18-2009 09:42 PM

I believe B&N has a leatherbound copy of The Divine Comedy for $20. Not pimping them or anything, but their leatherbound classics series is great (AND CHEAP) for anyone who wants to add to their collection. I want the Anne Rice leatherbound they put out this year *drools*

daemon_lucifer 11-18-2009 09:42 PM

@Cookie: COOKIE IS HOLDING HERSELF IN ANOTHER FORM!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!

Also, if you check out my random blobs of writing on dA, check out my friend, morea's writings on Earthaven...they are pretty phenomenal, and she has taught me a lot about grammar...

Twisted is under extreme remodeling, now that i have shamelessly made an ad for myself, so don't read it untilk i finish updating the prologue...sorry.

@Kika: Don't they have the shakespeare plays leatherbound as well? And there is another set...I can't remember...

Is reading a book you have read before count in the whole 50 book challenge?

JellybeanInc 11-18-2009 09:43 PM

@Kika: I so want to own all their leather bound classics. They look wonderful.

Kika988 11-18-2009 09:44 PM

Do you need a beta, Dae? I'm a self-professed grammar Nazi (not on chat or forums, of course ;-) ) and wouldn't mind helping with a revamp :-)

daemon_lucifer 11-18-2009 09:46 PM

@kika: Feel free to go in and give me advice, i don't mind. I just don't want people to give me a critique like the person did on the prologue...that offended me because they said nothing positive about my work and did not even critique the whole piece....RAEG!!!!!!!

redfire0123 11-18-2009 09:47 PM

B&N has the complete works of Shakespeare i have been dieing to get for the past 5 years.
but i never have the money when i see them again or already have over $100 in manga already in my hands

Kika988 11-18-2009 09:48 PM

Ugh, you had a flamer? Sorry. I always put a warning at the beginning of my stories/fics that flamers will be laughed at and used to toast marshmallows ^.^

For-Chan Cookie 11-18-2009 09:48 PM

Jellybean. Come to my house and do my laundry. I don't wanna do it *whines*

JellybeanInc 11-18-2009 09:49 PM

@Red: I started getting the smaller paper backs instead because of that. Although they never have the ones I really want. Like the Narrative of Frederick Douglass.

@Cookie: I'm doing my own laundry and not liking it. I don't want to have to do yours too. *whines*

Naoto-chan22 11-18-2009 09:50 PM

Cookie:I beat people up when I'm feeling shy or embarrased

white2fire 11-18-2009 09:51 PM

@Cookie: *takes her cookie and nibbles on it* Tasty. ^^

daemon_lucifer 11-18-2009 09:51 PM

@Kika: Not even the good kind of flamer, like the gay guys flamers, no, I had a woman, apparently very Christian religious, pretty much slam my work into the ground...and i think it was because of the religion conflict...so yeah, a flamer...

@Cookie and Jelly: I shall do both of your laundries! I have to do mine too, so i might as well lend a handbasket! *scrubs*

JellybeanInc 11-18-2009 09:52 PM

@Nao: That's a strange reaction to have to when you're shy. >.<

@Dae: Woot! I don't have to do laundry now! Yayness.

redfire0123 11-18-2009 09:53 PM
