Ikuaki: Thanks! Hmm, didn't do too much. There's always a huge ass block party in the middle of town (our college is known for it, sadly - we're the top party school in our state T.T) but I didn't go. I went to a party with some friends, but that was about it. How about you?

We stayed home, un-constumed and waited for children to knock/ring the doorbell. There weren't very many though; so we still have a good bit of candy left... like.. 3/4. xD
I wouldn't have minded doing more, but meh, no good people around here. xD

The closest I have ever gotten to celebrating halloween was last year when I went outside at night, screamed, and threw rice on people. XD Besides that, my whole life I have stayed inside playing hide and go seek in the dark.

Imitating what? XD I just filled up a ziplock back of rice. (Well we always have tons lol) .. and another one for my brother. I would have thrown salt for purification but we have way more rice than salt so I brought that instead XD

About what?
And yeah, lol. Well I couldn't tell for sure who was drunk and who wasn't, so I don't know how much good it would have done to concentrate only on those. It was my first night outside during Halloween, anyways. Sounds a bit rsiky.

Nn well I mean it was interesting having the events with my friends. But other than that, ya. Soo i'm guessing you know like... if you say たのしい that it can mean "I'm having fun" or "this is fun"..? ^^ like if you say こわい it means "I'm scared" or "This is scary" xD

Oh. I actually didn't know that. xD But I do now.
I'm sure with translating, sometimes it's just getting the idea across rather than the exact translation. I think that's why I have trouble sometimes translating things. And Japanese's usual lack of subjects sometimes makes me go "something is missing..."

Lol yeah I understand. In some cases, translating becomes very complicated not as much as for that the words are hard to figure out, as much as it is that you have to examine the scenario, maybe even what happens in the future (if it's say, an anime or something), before you can make sure you are accurate. xB

Ugh yes! Haha.
And some of the words are just saying what kind of speech you're using like.. casual/polite.
I got past katakana; so soon I'll be starting on some kanji. I'm not sure if I want to focus on kanji or go back and learn more vocabulary, but I guess it doesn't matter. I can do both. xP
I think I'm going to go through one of my books and write down all the vocab from previous lessons and study those hardcore. Or try...

Yeah, well. Lol. It is counting people.
Here are the readings for 人, a very easy word to understand the meaning of. It simply means person. And correct, it is like one person, two people, three people, ect. But the reading is slightly different. I may have to help you with general object counters if you don't already know them, but this is a start.
1 and 2 people are different than all the rest of the vocab in this area. They are not いち or に. However, after that it gets super easy. For the 1 and 2 people, it actually reflects "general object counter", but we can get into that later.
~~--~~--~~--~~--~~
人
Readings: ひと、びと、にん、じん
In counting people, use にん. Here is 1-10.
ひとり
ふたり
さんにん
よにん
ごにん
ろくにん
しちにん
はちにん
きゅうにん
じゅうにん
1: follow general counter by using ひと
2: follow general counter by using ふた
4: not よんにん; only one "n" is required.
USE THIS SONG? :3

I learned it in Japanese class lol.

Oooh yeah. I don't know any counters.
Oh ok. :D -learns- Oh. I found my Japanese notebook thing; so now I can write this down and not lose it. I actually need to get a new one... o_o
So.. for 人 since one of the readings is じん is that what you use when say like ... 日本人?
Aha! Japanese lesson vids like these always crack me up because the voice is so high. xP And so chipper.

... xD lol. 80% B
中国人
中- middle
国- country
人- person
--------------------
Chinese person
It was called the middle country because of the Chinese thought that China was the "center of everything", or "center of the universe" type of place.
(ちゅうごくじん) There! You learned a new word, right? XD
