-My full name is Glim Sparkletree Riverjump Deathwish Whatwall Nackle, but my friends just call me Glim.

Where are you from?
-I’m from the Gnomish community of Hillside, although I am currently residing in Laketon as a break from adventuring and to continue my studies as an Illusionist.

How big is your family?
-Let’s see… There’s my dad (Jebeddo), my mom (Waywocket), my older brother (Gimble), me, and my younger brother (Gerbo). We (my brothers and I) are the 5th generation of the Nackle family to reside in Hillside.

Is your family still living?
-Yes, they are as a matter of fact. I actually just received a letter from my younger brother Gerbo not two days ago.

What do/did your family members do?
-My dad is a successful 3rd generation copper merchant (meaning he took over the business from his father, who took it over from his father); my mom is a seamstress in the Sewing Guild; my brother Gimble is a wandering Bard of some repute (I wonder if he’s heard of any of my adventures yet?); and my brother Gerbo is studying to become an Evoker at the Wizard’s Tower.

Do you have any famous ancestors? What did they do?
-Hmm… My Great-great-grandfather was the first Nackle to set foot in Hillside, and his son (my great grandfather) went on to become a somewhat successful copper merchant, and the business has been passed down through the family till it got to my father. My mother’s father, on the other hand, was a Sorcerer who came to hillside looking for work and eventually settled down there.

Has anything interesting happened to you or your family?
Well, there was that time where I made one of the trees outside my house look like it was glittering as if it was carved out of diamonds whenever you saw it out of the corner of your eye. But as soon as you looked directly at it, it stopped sparkling! Haha, that lasted for a good two weeks before anyone figured out what was causing the phenomenon. I was 22 at the time.

What led you to a career in adventuring?
-Ah, now that’s a good story. There was this group of goblins, you see, and they had been harassing the local merchant caravans for a few weeks. One day, the Captain of the guard put up a notice asking for volunteers to aid in solving the problem. I volunteered immediately, as I had always wanted to be out in the field as part of a team, slinging spells and maybe bashing in a few skulls. Well, to make a long story short, as the group of volunteers was walking through the woods, I got separated from them. Lost and alone, I was trying to figure out where they had gone when suddenly, I was face to face with a pack of wolves. Well, heck. I ran for it. The wolves eventually cornered me at a short cliff, underneath which ran a river. So I figured, why not? And so I jumped off the cliff. I hadn’t counted on the river’s current being so strong, and so I was being pulled along basically wherever the river wished, my owl familiar Nightbreak flying frantically above me screeching for help. As I was passing an island, I was spotted by a group of adventurers who had apparently just landed there, and they threw me a rope to grab onto and pulled me to shore. Good thing they had, ‘cause one of them had told me later that they had seen an enormous fish-like thing in the river that probably would’ve eaten me. Turns out, they were also looking to solve the goblin problem, and so I joined forces with them. We eventually solved the problem and went on to have a few more adventures, after which I elected to stay here and continue my studies as an illusionist.

What led you to enter the class you did?
-I’ve always had a bit of a knack for the arcane arts, illusions especially. I enjoy making them, and weaving stories around them that confuse and confound my friends.

Did/Do you have any instructors/mentors? What are your current relations with them?
-Well, I study under old master Zook here at the Wizard’s Tower, and he has been especially helpful to me with concern to my studies. He’s not that bad a fellow outside the classroom, either.

Do you have any romantic Interests?
-None to speak of, so far. I’m too young for that sort of thing, I think.

Do you have any other allies?
-I would like to think of my old adventuring party as allies. Roywind, Sombra, Fayth, Aragorn, Nillia, and Bob were all stalwart companions, and I would relish the chance to adventure with them once again (as soon as I finish my studies, of course).

What motivates you/What do you want out of life?
-I want to become an adventuring Illusionist of great renown, sung about by Bards throughout the land. I also happen to enjoy collecting nicknames.

If/When your adventuring career ends, what will you do?
-I’ll probably adventure till the day I die, but if I do happen to retire (due to injury or otherwise), becoming a teacher of the arcane arts I so love would be my second best choice.

What is your greatest fear?
-My greatest fear is loosing my spellcasting abilities. They are what make me who I am, and I am nothing without them.

What is your personality like?
-I’d like to think I’m loyal, although I can be extremely eccentric at times. I am also very much a risk taker, a daredevil, even. I love to play pranks on anyone and everyone.

What do you look like?
-I stand at 3’6” tall, have long white-blonde hair which I keep tied back into a ponytail, and have deep midnight blue eyes that I am told sparkle with mischief. I have a scar across my left palm from when I was practicing knife throwing in my room one day when I was bored. As you might’ve guessed, I am left handed.
