haha yeah. i thought about putting some goldfish in the ten gallon tank, but since they get so big i won't. i wonder why people think they keep fish in a tiny bowl like that.

yeah, that's why our first fish died. the bowl was too small for it and we did the water wrong or something. I won the poor goldfish from something so i didn't know what to do with it. we now have two tanks. one is small, but the other is 10 gal I think.

awww i sorry it died :( i used to keep bettas in tiny little bowls. but then i got smart and now mine have heaters and at least a gallon bowl to swim in. trying to talk hubby into getting 2.5 gallons for them lol. but at least they have heaters :)

I hear bettas actually like small tanks because of their natural environment. I really don't remember my goldfish, any of them. the first one seriously lasted a week.

yeah some people no smaller than five gallons. but that's a little too much for me. mine seem to be doing just fine in their one gallon tanks. just have to do water change like once a week or something like that.

The coolest goldfish I had I won at a county fair in that game where it's impossible to win, all of them right? Well it was the ring toss where you toss the tiny rings around the glass bottles and if you ring something you get a prize. I won a goldfishie ^^ It was black and orange. Pretty cool. But the fish that I had the longest was a plectonian (sp) algae eater and a chinese algae eater... they were called Plato and Jackie Chan hehe... Jacki Chan was the first one to go from ick and Plato lived for 8 years til one day he got suicidal and jumped out of the fish tank. He hit the ground hard and got some brain trauma we think. There was some blood. He was never the same again and then one day he just died. Funny how fish do that. I hate when they get ick though. That's the worst. You think you've got it beat and then it comes back cause it was stuck on some plant or something.
I'd like to have a big salt water tank. I think that would be pretty interesting. Or these bright neons I saw in wal-mart. They were really neon colored. I wonder what they would look like under a blacklight? Would be interesting..
Anyway.. the yearly torture would be the unhappy pap smear. Gross. Wish I didnt have to. Guys are so lucky. I think they should have to do something unpleasant every year.. not just when they are over 40. Muahaha... lol. But you won't see that ever go into effect because it's a male-dominant world * :shakefist: * One day though.
I have to go to the bank this morning too. Paying rent :S I hate giving my money away. lol

awww i want a goldfish now hehehe. poor Plato!! i had a female betta one time who jumped out of her bowl and i didnt find her until she was all dried up :( silly fish!! i wonder why they jump out like that. i'd like to have a saltwater tank too, with like clownfish and blue tangs and those ones that are purple and yellow!! ahh!! lol!! those ones you saw at walmart are Glofish i think. those are the ones that are zebra danios (i think) and they altered their DNA so they are those neat lookin colors. something about they were gonna use them to dectect poisons in our water systems. but then they got popular or something and people started keeping them at home. there is a big debate about if they are ethical or not. i think they are pretty though and wouldn't mind having some myself :)

Yeah that's what it was! Glofish. I didn't know there was such a big story behind them though. Here I thought that they occurred naturally in nature. Lol.. it would be funny to see a lot of brightly colored fish swimming in a river or something. I bet they wouldn't live long though. They look just like fush lures. Aww.. I don't know why fish jump out of their bowls either. Maybe they get bored. I know I would be if I were stuck in a bowl for a long time. Those plastic plants and fake castles can be entertaining only for so long. But they do say that goldfish have really short memories. Like only a few seconds. That would be weird. But they learn so that can't be true. Like if you tap on the glass before you feed them they learn that when you tap that means food and they start swimming up looking for it.

Haha that would be fun to just be walking along a river and be like "oh look at the brightly colored fish!!!" lol!! maybe they do get bored?? i think fish are smarter than most people say that they are *nods*

I think big fish are smart. I feel bad for them. the ones that live for a really long time. I don' feel right eating something that's older than me. Who knows what kind of stuff it's seen in the ocean. A lot more than I've seen on land I bet.

The only problem with being brightly colored is that they'd have no where to hide.

I really hate doctors *scowl* I just went in for a pap and now I have a cardiology appointment. Tell me how that works. And I was talking to my hubby. Didn't get to talk to him for like 3 days now and all I could do was cry about it and really cry. I feel bad. There was a lot more that I wanted to tell him and I probably made his day bad like mine is turning out to be. But he says that no matter what, he'll still love me. He really is wonderful. *cry*
