I can't seem to peel myself from this parka.

9 now. Oh, there's already been strange things in his pockets. This was pretty tame. I'm just glad it was the type with the blade inside, or it could have sliced things up in the wash. :o

He's got this strange perception of what's valuable. He'll keep pop tabs, broken bits of shiney things, and other odd items most people would call 'trash'. I had to throw out a whole baggie full of broken glass when he wasn't looking once. I let him keep a lot of strange things, but that's just dangerous to have laying around in the floor.

I have no doubt. o wo That's odd. Broken glass, though? Haha. I have a little step brother who is also 9, but he's obsessed with his DS and ninja figurines. He'd never think of collecting 'junk'. Which is a shame, really, because your son's interesting shiny trash collecting sounds rather cute. >w>;

Kids are interested in the simplest things. Broken glass can be really pretty. ^^ And then a baby will almost always have more fun with a box than whatever was in the box... Ah, the powers of imagination can transform anything into something precious. ^^

Most the kids I've come across nowadays are no where near like that anymore. ; w;

Yeah, unfortunately so many modernized kids aren't as interested in simple things anymore.

I used to be able to amuse myself for hours on end with an anthill or a tree. ; w;
