Wellll, you know how the snow is around here. The first snow is awesome, and then any snow on a holiday, but the rest of the time ... ._. You're not missing much.

I was supposed to have off today but only had 2 hours off. And the rain did melt away half of the snow. So ya, sniffles egg died.

I'm up at the moment. Well if you want to know bout my parents then here is the thing. My parents don't give me any freedom, they are always bossing me around, and anytime I slip up I get snapped at, if they do that they laugh, or if my older sister does it they laugh. If I ask what are we doing saturday, they yell saying they already told me 5 times. I'm just checking. But if my dad asks my mom or my older sidster asks the3n nothing. So they don't give me any freedom. I also would like it if they actually cared about me and not yell at me and call me an idiot. I do everything they told me to when I was younger, I don't cuss, I don't look at innapropriate things. But they still yell at me. They always try to make it better by smiling and it works but I am so frustrated with them. Oh I have another 2 hr delay again.

Awe, that sucks Dokurai. Mine don't restrict me as much... *used to have very limited internet access* and I've discovered that if I can make my mom laugh, she won't yell at me. I don't cuss either, 'least not irl, or out loud ever. I'm not even allowed to say "damn" or "darn". When they found out I was playing Vampire wars and Mafia Wars on Facebook I was lectured for over an hour and told to stop. Plus, my mother accused me of owning books that were inappropriate in some way. I don't know what kind of books she thought I had, because she didn't specify, just accused. I also got chewed out over reading Harry Potter...
Know what? Never mind. I need to stop talking. *remembered loads of crap* Sucks that your parents boss you around.

o.o My parents weren't strict with me. Once I turned 18, they dropped any curfew, and they treated me like an adult. Now since I'm 22, I live with my dad (my parents are divorcing), and I've been away at school, I'm treated more like an equal adult.

Mine didn't really restrict either my brother or I when we both were growing up.

They don't do give you real strict curfew do they, Dokurai? It saddens me to think that other peeps might have stricter parents...
The rebellious kid in me gets upset by it.

They wan't me to go to bed by 9 but I go to bed at 10 and get chewed at. Well I got chewed at for reading HP also. They give me a strict everything if I do something wrong they take the wii away. Send me to my room. I'm a highschooler almost an adult. I wish they would give me respect. I can't even control my own money. When I had enough to buy a 360 they wouldn't let me. Now they want me to. With my own money. That I'm saving up for other things.

You guys are making my mother look fantastic. I've never had any restrictions, ever. My mother has this, "I raised you correctly, I have faith in my teachings and how I brought you up, therefore I trust you as well" mindset. And it's true. For some reason I'm the only one who doesn't smoke pot or shoot up heroin around here and I'm the only one who was never restricted. o 3o

My mother wouldn't let me buy an anime magazine because Hellgirl was on the front. I'm an adult *is of legal age* and My mother still rejects some of my clothing choices, just because. She started threatening to drop the cable because she saw me watching the Lady Marmalade video on VH1. Also, I read Harry Potter after I turned 18. You think someone who's legally an adult should be able to make those choices themselves....

Excuse me while I go hug my mother. Yours is crazy. I can't even fathom that kind of parent. >w>; Is the hating on Harry Potter thing because she's Christian, or something?
I remember when I was around 12, I never understood why my best friend's parents wouldn't let her watch R rated movies. It baffled me. By 13 I had already read Angel Sanctuary, Hellsing, and Gantz.
I think she introduced me to that movie "Alien" when I was 6 and Child's Play by 9. :drool:

The only drawback is, nowadays I can't comprehend authority well. I don't like having rules applied to me because I'm used to such freedom. It always feels like an insult when someone tries to control me. /fails at jobs :headdesk:

My parents got over me reading Harry potter. My mom got mad at me for staying up after nine, NINE! Last night my sister's boyfriend was over he still is here, he is going to be here til after Christmas and my mom wanted me to go to bed. Wow I'm trying to talk to people, thank's for letting me have no social life. Thread=so dead.

Well yall are deep in conversation. I would like to throw it I guess it also has something to do with if you believe, "Nature VS. Nuture." Does the environment raise a person, or their parents. It comes down to personal choice. My parents, well my mom, was not that strict on me, sometimes she was. As a child I wasn't allowed to watch MTV and He-Man. I have decided against ever smoking pot myself and know how to keep my loving Christ and Harry Potter separate lol. I have some of my parent's values and a few of my own. Luckily as an adult my parents don't try to control my life but of course still teach me life lessons.....okay now I am rambling.

Thankfully for me, my parents weren't so strict. I was allowed to watch MTV, but mom didnt' want me watching Beavis and Butthead. But, my dad and brother let me and my mom worked nights, so yeah. We figured something out. :D btw- my brother is 8 years older than me.

They were the parents who realized when we were teens, that if you say "NO" to us, we'll do it anyway. So, they let us do things. Once we hit a certain age, they realized that we would probably experiment like they did. So, yeah. Their thing was just as long as we were safe. They trusted us and our judgement.
