Haha xD I'm super excited to have it finally! ^w^

And I know that the materials for traditional art are pretty pricey xD I'm sorry..And rusty spoons don't sound that fun especially when their butchering your art x___x

KaciCake 12-26-2009 02:10 AM

Yeah, especially if you're a copic marker addict like me! Friggin 4-5 dollars per marker color. D; but they're worth it damnit!

And yeah I agree. : (

Teal 12-26-2009 02:14 AM

xD I've never used copic markers..

Bleh, I'm not really sure how to use photoshop either ^^; I shall figure it out! > :3

AlbaRosaria 12-26-2009 02:20 AM

Never used Copics, but Photoshop is pretty handy for photographs and whatnot. (But I have the outdated Photoshop 7.0... ) The new version is more fun to tinker with.

And if you use paints, paintbrushes can be outrageous! I remember drooling over a $53.00 paint brush for oil paint. Let's face it, you slap on the term 'art' or 'craft' onto anything, they automatically jack up the price. (Even including the quality difference.)

Instead of using the scanner, have you tried taking a picture of the traditional media with a camera? In the right conditions, it works out better than the scanner.

Staralight 12-26-2009 02:28 AM

woo7 and I am alive from my slumber!

>w> I use Adobe photoshop CS4, which in all seriousness is not that much different from 6 or 7. The only real difference is the layout of the tools.

I've never really used markers, prefer black and white shading.

KaciCake 12-26-2009 03:30 AM

Ahh yeah. I mess around with watercolors. Watercolors are pretty pricey too! ><

I wish I could black and white shading! I mean, I probably can, I just find black and white to be rather boring. I've done a few black and white pictures, but they're mostly sketches and stuff. One day I should do a serious black and white picture.

Staralight 12-26-2009 03:34 AM

Lol

I also do charcoal drawings, which thankfully charcoal really isn't that expensive. Some painting too, but not a lot of that anymore. Actually for a while now I haven't been able to draw a thing.

KaciCake 12-26-2009 03:40 AM

Charcoal is so fun to use! I love using chalk pastel too! o 3o

I'm actually drawing something right now. xDD I try to draw at least for two hours a week to keep the creative juices flowing. Though when I really get into it, I can easily go over 40 hours per week.

Staralight 12-26-2009 03:56 AM

Lol very nice.

Eh when I get stuck creatively, I just switch mediums that I use.
Like my sig. >w> MS Paint at it's crappiest.

KaciCake 12-26-2009 03:58 AM

That's a hell of a lot better than I can do in MS paint though. XD I think it's rather cute, actually. :3

Teal 12-26-2009 04:01 AM

MS paint angers me to an extreme xD

Staralight 12-26-2009 04:04 AM

Lmao it's in how you use the tools provided. >w>

And thank you .

KaciCake 12-26-2009 04:14 AM

MS Paint is excellent for pixel work I heard. I'm not a pixel artist though so I have no idea. xD I'm no pixel artist. I strive towards realism, and realism is hard on MS Paint. D: Plus I just suck at digital art period.

Teal 12-26-2009 04:23 AM

It is really good for pixel art, but I fail at pixel art sooo xD

Staralight 12-26-2009 04:49 AM

Lol >w> I only use it to goof around when I don't feel like tracking down my sketch pad.

KaciCake 12-26-2009 04:55 PM

My doll fund has increased dramatically over the holidays. XD By at least $300. I'm so happy!

Teal 12-26-2009 04:57 PM

Woohoo! Go Kaci!! xD That's awesome

Staralight 12-26-2009 05:27 PM

*does happy dance for Kaci*
woo7 go you!

Oh why must my kitties need fixing? *laments*

KaciCake 12-26-2009 05:40 PM

Yes, yes it is awesome. It is very awesome. XD

And what's wrong with your kitties? D: Unless you mean they need to get neutered/spayed?

Staralight 12-26-2009 05:49 PM

-w- neutered....
grrr why must boy kitties spray? Oh well. ^w^

>w> maybe I can find one of those free places?
((No it doesn't really bother me to have this obligation, I lurf my kitties.))

KaciCake 12-26-2009 05:55 PM

I remember when my dog got neutered. He was such a hornball! >w<; He humped everything! It was awful. xDD He humped my one stuffed animal so much we had to throw it out. ;w;

Staralight 12-26-2009 05:57 PM

OwO damn!

The problem isn't that they hump things, the little fuzzballs aren't even at that stage yet but the thing is once they do...-w- boy cats spray, and no way in hell are they spraying in my house.

Teal 12-26-2009 05:57 PM

Staralight: I'm so jealous of you D:
You got to meet Vic Mignogna!

Staralight 12-26-2009 05:59 PM

>w> I also got to meet Troy Baker (From Trinity Blood and FMA and some other stuff) and Steve Downes (Master Chief) too.
