Now talk to me about History, English, Literature, Psychology, any of that stuff and usually I can do better than a teacher in those fields. I remember having to correct my history teachers repeatedly because they'd get a date wrong here, a battle wrong there, it was very upsetting.
Alba I love you. *takes a cup*
My hubby is in my math class actually. Lol Which reminds me I wonder if he's done his homework yet. >w>
He's getting a degree in Graphic Design. Woo7 someone to make pretty book covers for me!

^w^ Mythology is one of my stronger points in History.
Granted I am NOT a fan of Norse mythology. Just nothing really going on there. All rinse and repeat stuff.
Greek mythology though. *pets*
Actually my favorite author writes very heavily in mythology.

History is full of what if's though, because a lot of it has no real evidence to date. A lot of it is just conjecture.
Like some of the origins of Christianity, what were the Sumerians like, were the Egyptians this way or that way. >w< Good stuff.
Oh here's another example. The Bible's mistranslation of the Fall of Lucifer. The Romans are the ones who added that in there, it wasn't apart of the original Hebrew. When they translated it the story was referring to a Sumerian king, but they called kings Lucifer sometimes or The Morning Star. Lucifer was actually apart of the greek myths. He was one of Zeus and Eos's sons.

^w^;;;
Actually there is three versions of Lucifer.
The angel, the devil, and the greek god. I like the idea of the greek god.
Which is why I objectively look at history, the translations, and so on before making an opinion. Mine is this. If it's been translated from the original text more times than a U2 song, don't trust it.

-w-
Satan is Arabic and it means Betrayer, Mestopheles means something else, and there is another name in there somewhere. But that doesn't mean they are all Lucifer.
Lucifer was and is a greek god.
Satan is the closest to the actual Hebrew deity as you're going to get. All are different creatures from different religions and cultures.
I've done some serious researching into the topic.

I haven't really gotten into the relgions that are still around yet.
but Mestopheles means something along the lines of hatred of light, he was just a demon sent by Satan to make a deal with Faust.

Well religion is mythology so I have no problem going into them and objectively researching. Which is how I found that Satan and Lucifer are not the same deity from the start, but somehow through the Romes they became the same thing.

Lol Greek is still around if you look through the 70's wave of Wicca. A lot of the things they use is taken from Greek religions and Egyptian. Same with the Celtics and Norse.
People are still worshipping those Gods and Goddesses, just not as openly since they usually end up in the Funny Farm or some such thing.

Native American, Greek, Celtic, and Norse are the main four that they pull from. The first book of Wicca was written some in the 60's-70's time range and respun by some dude that I can't possibly remember his name.
