Yeah.. I had been looking at Doll Family before I remember, I don't remember why I rethought it and moved on.. Now a little I want a Doll Family more than the one I'd gotten.. or even just a head from there with the body.. after going on DoA to see if anyone knew if the resins matched.. But.. Dunno. Will be saving for one slowly.. :XP Impledolls are said to pose great though so that's fun. Can't wait to get him.

I'm just starting in the hobbys, so I don't even have a full doll yet but two are on order. I will be trying to get a cheap floater head to be my practice head. I know the hobby is an expensive one.. just hate that 'cheap' is like $70 for something I may mess up on / ruin by accident in practicing.

I need to finish sewing the shirt I started for Yukio, but the last things I sewed didn't turn out to well and I don't want to mess this one up because I only have enough fabric to make this one, it will be a short sleeved, and another one that will be long sleeved. They're going to be the same color and everything, just one is for summer and one is for colder times.

I can't sew.. -_-;; not much of an artist either... BUT I have a feeling I'll be learning for my dolls.
I already have it planned to ask future step mother to teach me how to sew when I go visit in the summer. - Hopefully I'll have my dolls by then so we can do to fit. :lol:

More people! And dollies! Yay! :D My sewing needs a heck of a lot of work, so I am just learning as well. You'll find that it is fun and relaxing... And when you are sewing doll clothes in public, people stare at you oddly or mention something about a baby. XD

lol, well the doll I have right now is gay but in the future I plan on owning some straight ones. I will have a female and male that will be straight and maybe one more. I'll have some more gay ones and some bi ones. All of my dolls will be of my OCs. I'll probably only end up owning 1 female cause I don't think I'll be able to get a doll for my other female OCs. I need to get me my camera so I can start taking pictures of my boy. What's something I can use to brush out my doll's wig? When I take off his hat his hair is messed up so I need a way to brush it out so it will look nice again.

I heard you can use a soft headed tooth brush as a brush Sanoko, it was a tip I read on DoA. Another tip was for styled hair to keep it nice for a short while is hairspray.. dip the brush into the hairspray can, wipe off excess and then brush through.. -don't own a doll yet but I hear that it waas a great tip when they were trying to figure that out.

I'm trying to decide which Dream of Doll doll would be best for my character Desire. He should be a DOI, but I'll probably end up having to get a DOT. The two DOTs I think might work for him is th Code No. 2 or Ducan no clue which would be better, both seem like they would work. If a DOT head will fit on a DOI body and not look too weird I'll do that.

Sanoko - A Barbie brush would work okay, too. I usually use a My Little Pony brush. XD Haven't tried a toothbrush, yet.


Almost all of my boys are gay. One's straight (with gay tendencies? XD ), one's (maybe two >>; ) bi, a couple of them I'm not sure about since their characters are still developing. XD;

My OCs... Are a bit evenly distributed between the two genders, but my favorite OC's are typically male. XD RP both genders. Though most of the dolls on my wishlist are male, I want a female next. Whether it will be Sapphira (Arnorr's wife) or Lìadan (his younger sister), I do not know quite yet. Or maybe the elven seamstress with a screw loose named Lanthir... >.>

Got quite a few gay characters, the main one to stick out is Noctus: A fae in both senses. Originally planned a SoulDoll doll for him, but they discontinued all those dolls.

Sanoko, for backgrounds just use fabric or get one of those project posterboards... Or go outside and take pictures! Dollies in nature, Rosa likes. :3 And I have a crap camera, but one don't need a great camera to take excellent pictures (though it sure helps! )

Lupus, your dolls are gorgeous! I especially love the middle one with the white hair and the one to the right. So pretty!

I don't use a brush, though I may need to get one soon after I finish this headdress I am working on... Right now, whenever his hair gets fussy or staticy, I just use a fabric softener sheet and run it over his hair. Also makes him smell like lavender. :D Want rose ones, would fit his character more. XD He is supposed to smell like roses.

Got an idea of what to use one of the reserved threads for! If ya'll have DA, post them up here and I'll have a section for 'em. Art advertising for everyone! :3 I know ya'll are going to have dollie pictures up on them, so it is related.

Barbie brushes are cheap and they work the best. From fur to fiber. Barbie brush.

Looking through that one doll site, I love these two: Doll I and Doll II. Do want.

Also, a baby's brush would work well. That is what I am going to be using as soon as I find the one that went missing around the house. Darn ceiling faeries.

Edit: A barbie brush or any other kind of brush, you can spruce it up by adding to the back to make it look period or fantastical, too. As soon as I find that baby brush, I am going to add paper clay to the back and make it into an art nouveau style. Just an added thought.

Domuya's a lovely, but the bodies (especially the flexi ones) can be a pain. They're very floppy. Rasia likes to flop around like a fish, until I can find the perfect center of gravity.

Ok I will use some fabric and a project poster board, lol. To sort of have a variety. I would go outside to take pictures, but no where around my house is really nice enough. It's just not very pretty. I do really want to take pictures outside though. There also really isn't anywhere close by that has good places to take good nature photos, they're all blah...

I was thinking about getting something and painting it a lightish blue color because the color sort of fits my character in some way.

Well I really need a new camera, mine is pretty old and it needs to be updated. I just can't take very good pictures with the one I have now so a new one is in order. Plus it eats batteries.

Well I don't know if I want to use a barbie brush. I might use a baby brush since those are pretty soft. I may end up getting a wig brush, but I don't know.

I know! It made me so sad when they discontinued them. None of SoulDoll's molds fit him now, but Doll-Zone, a couple of months later, released Chen that looks oddly like an older version of what had been SoulDoll's Lupus. And floppy bodies... I know about that. I need to tighten strings, too... Just haven't done it yet.

Use the drier sheets before using... Never actually used one in the drier before, to tell you the truth. Most of my clothes I had wash and/or hang dry.

Sanoko, my camera is quite a few years old and eats batteries, too. The maximum amount of time I am able to use it before two sets of batteries go dead is 15 minutes. I know how it is. >.< Picture quality sucks. Oh, I wire wrapped a small scrap quartz crystal once for Arnorr and put it on a silver chain... Let me see if I have a picture online... It is on my old account and the picture is over exposed... Hard to see it, but it is there. Isn't much, but it suited his costume, or lack there of. XD Know now how to operate a camera, didn't back then.

Two of my future dolls will have tattoos. Both will have three pink stars under their eyes. I'm wondering if they should be outlined in black or not. I like how it looks on the computer and stuff, but I don't know.

I'm going to end up owning like 5 pairs or more of headphones for my dolls. Because they will need to be a different color for most of them. Tewo dolls can use the same one, but others will need a different color cause they all won't like the same colors.
