Hmm... parental discussion, huh? ....
Well, my dad was one of those "absentee" types... in the sense that he was never very talkative, about the most I ever heard him say at one time was when I was getting yelled at.... which was quickly followed by the belt/fly swatter/whatever... :P I turned out ok, but I was a horrible kid. I surely would never advocate the use of drugs in children though. ESPECIALLY since I heard that there's a study out there somewhere that says some kids are actually found to have an emotional allergy to certain foods, and denying them those foods often improves their mood. :yes: sounds really wierd, but I think it would be worth trying, if the situation came up. |
