I LOVE cold cocoa!

Linnea 01-21-2010 03:34 AM

i'm waiting for the hot water in the kettle... my fingers are freezing... so i can't wait!

never had cold cocoa... do you just use milk or something? or maybe put in ice cubes?

Kat Dakuu 01-21-2010 03:35 AM

I've never had it that way except the time we mixed hot cocoa with cold water because the line was forever long for hot water.

zeapear 01-21-2010 03:35 AM

My water boiled, I made the cocoa, and drank it, in three minutes XD

You put in cocoa and sugar, a tiny bit of hot water, just enough to melt it and the rest is just milk.

Linnea 01-21-2010 03:36 AM

mmm sounds yummy! maybe i'll try that next time

Kat Dakuu 01-21-2010 03:37 AM

oh, bleh, I don't like milk. that sounds like chocolate milk which is okay I guess.

zeapear 01-21-2010 03:39 AM

But Kat, I thought you were supposed to be a cat-like creature XD

Linnea 01-21-2010 03:40 AM

i think chocolate milk is a bit more on the sweeter side... and if you make cocoa with baking cocoa it is more bittersweet

ahhh i think she's got you there, kat lol

zeapear 01-21-2010 03:40 AM

We use baking cocoa :>
I have one teaspoon cocoa, two teaspoons sugar.

Kat Dakuu 01-21-2010 03:42 AM

well, Kat is lactose intolerant as most cats actually are.

zeapear 01-21-2010 03:43 AM

Oh, so am I, I use lactose free milk :3

Linnea 01-21-2010 03:44 AM

we are the only mammals that drink another mammals milk... it's weird when you look at it that way

zeapear 01-21-2010 03:44 AM

Wow, that is weird Lin!

Kat Dakuu 01-21-2010 03:48 AM

I didn't know such existed. well, I never liked milk before anyways.

not true. I've seen a antelope suckle on a lion. and plenty farm animals will be raised on other milk especially if hand fed. they don't in the wild, but its a domestic thing.

Linnea 01-21-2010 03:48 AM

i meant in a totally in the wild kind of way

zeapear 01-21-2010 03:48 AM

Good point Kat.

Linnea 01-21-2010 03:57 AM

anyhoo.... what are you guys all up to this evening?

zeapear 01-21-2010 03:59 AM

Not much at all really, just relaxing on menewsha. How are you doing?

Linnea 01-21-2010 04:01 AM

i'm sipping on some hot cocoa... eating some animal crackers... just got done watching nip/tuck... not sure what i want to watch now... i got two new movies on netflix, so maybe i'll go watch those... i dunno

zeapear 01-21-2010 04:02 AM

Yeah, we got "Pride and Prejudice" a couple of days ago but I haven't ween it yet.

Kat Dakuu 01-21-2010 04:03 AM

I like that book, but I only got to see part of the movie. its pretty good though.

Linnea 01-21-2010 04:04 AM

is it the keira knightly version? or the colin firth one? i'm sure there are older ones too

zeapear 01-21-2010 04:05 AM

I'm reading "sense and sensibility" at the moment but I'm finding it very hard to understand, is Pride and Prejudice any better?

We got the newer version.

Linnea 01-21-2010 04:06 AM

it took me many tries to read all the way through it, but once i did i was so happy i finished it! i heard that 'emma' is the easiest one to make it through... i have a friend who loves all that classic literature stuff and she recommended that one to me

the new ones isn't so bad... it only has some slight changes from the book

zeapear 01-21-2010 04:07 AM

The movie "sense and sensibility" changed from the book so much!
