um, I can take a picture some time if you like.
I want to see what Iku drew! |
haha.. ok maybe i could forward his e-mail then... there is a lot of back and forth in the e-mails tho.. hmmm
|
well, I just want to see what other people are doing.
|
Yeah, iku kinda did inspire me to get my butt in gear... hold on I'll sent them...
---------- I just sent you the whole thing.. I'm too lazy to go back through and pick out the pictures.... |
alright. thanks. I'll take pictures of what I have tomorrow or later today to show you.
|
Ok. I can probably take pictures of what I have done. I was wondering what you came up with for color. For some reason I was thinking that they should have been calico's O_____O But I think that would have been a major detail and a little late to change it up right now.
|
I gave them fur a little lighter than their hair. kind of a tan color. they look very cute and fluffy.
|
OMG... I really want to see :squee: Also because, I never put out any color requirements for anyone else... you know, it'd be good to have some kind of guidance on it... so that they can still be recognised... I mean.. if they are blue in one story and brown in another and pink in a different one.. it might not be the best idea... >.>
|
yeah, that's why I thought to ask their hair color.
here's the first page. I finished coloring it the other day. http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...PICT0496-1.jpg |
Bwahahha! That's so freakin cute Kat! :squee: I love it. It is definitely in your own style which is perfect XD
I just found an app where I can make a storybook app and submit it to the app store. Of course, to get the software for this app is what costs the money, so I'll look into how putting apps on the iTunes store works and what kindof percent they take and stuff. |
thanks. ^///^
and now you've slipped into talking about things I know nothing about. |
Awesome. Well it does give me some ideas as to how to color my own XD Did you use uhm... hmm.. colord pencils on this? I can't decide how it is that I want to color my pages :(
Oh.. well, I guess it's not something that you'd have to worry about really. I'll be taking care of all of this part of the story work *shrugs* :P |
I used markers and colored pencils. its my usual M.O. these days.
ahha. I don't envy you. |
Nice. I'm still not sure what I want to use... I will most likely go with colored pencils or colored pens if I can find the right brightness for each one. Which might be tough. I don't have so many colored pencils to choose from :(
Ha... I don't think it's that much work really... It's something that I want to do, so I don't mind doing it because I like it. |
haha. I have art supplies for sure. I want to ask for a 120 prismacolor pencil set for my birthday. >.> because a lot is never enough.
that's good then. very good. |
A lot is never enough. I don't think that even having all the colors you think you need, you'd still run across something that needed a color that you just ahppened to not have. 120 huh? That's a pretty good start. i wish I had my art sets, but I think they were in the box that the movers forgot to send over here :(
Yeah. I mean if it wasn't, I don't think that this would get very far... |
I have 24 sets in all the media I own. I manage. I don't see the need to own every possible color combination sometimes. A) A small color pallet can be liberating. built in limitations sometimes make the best art. B) its very possible to mix colors if you know what you're doing and I do.
that's true. and that would be very sad. |
Of course mixing teh colors is always an option. I find that it's best with things like paints though, or maybe pastels. Colored pencils, you have to start light if you're going to be mixing colors, at least that's what I think. I mean, it's like crayons, if you saturate the page with too much of one color starting out, then the other color doesn't take as well, so the mixing just doesn't happen. Hmm.. crayons. Haven't used crayons in forever XD
|
that's why a drawing with colored pencils can take a very long time. you have to carefully layer. watercolors and sometimes oils depending on how you use them work like that as well.
I lost my crayons. :( |
Oh noes! Lost crayons... Hmm, those are easy enough to replace though. I mean, they sell them by the hundreds in stores, so that's not too bad.
Yep, it definitely does take some time. I'd like to use water color, but I don't have the suplies, paper nor the water colors to do it. So I guess its just an idea. |
so true. I just don't like losing things even though I do it all the time.
I have cheap watercolors, lots of paper, and that's it. |
I don't think anyone likes to lose things. As soon as you get something to replace the thing you lost, you end up finding it anyway. It's just how it works for some reason. Just like, I couldn't find the keys to the lock on my bike, as soon as I made up my mind that I would cut it off and buy a new one... I found the keys. Luckily.
Cheap watercolors are better than no watercolors. I want to see what they have here but I know already... there is a 6 foot shelf with crayola stuff and that's all. Maybe some finger paints. Maybe. |
at least you found them in time.
haha. that's not good paint at all. the paints I have are old tubes and I don't know where I got them, but there are yeh 7 colors so its something. |
Yep. I don't know what made me look where I decided to look. And I don't know why I put the keys in a box at the top of my closet in the first place. Just seems odd. If I were smart I would have left them out with the other keys. I have no idea what was going through my head. I hate when you put something somewhere, so that you'll "remember you put it there" and then you can't remember that place for anything cause it's different from where you normally put things. -____-
No it's not good paints :( It's cheap. Made in China crap. I'd have to find a german arts and crafts store, and I don't know if there are any near here. I don't really know what kind of stores the Germans have out there besides for groceries, clothing, furniture, restaurants and apothecaries... uh... drug stores I mean. |
yes. that's why I hate cleaning my room!
uh, interesting. germany sounds interesting.... |
