The more you say, the better!
Please, if you're like I am and enjoy writing long posts, feel free to do so here, or feel free to just jump in, say "Hi' and join in on the conversation however you like. I'd like to meet more people here on Mene, since I'm new here (from FB and Gaia), and this seems to be a wonderful way to attempt doing so. :)
Feel free to post whatever you want, so long as it isn't offensive to others and it helps to add to and/or create a conversation. :)
I'll start off by saying that I just recently got my right ear's cartilage pierced and it hurts right now, but I'm keeping it clean, and I'm really hoping it works out this time.
Explanation: I've had that area pierced twice before. >.< Neither time turned out too well.
Right now I'm wearing a 4mm 14carat white gold longpost. :) I like it. <3
How's your day going? Your night? How was your week last week? Enjoying the Winter Olympics? Anyone else here think that Canada's main mascot for this year was the most epic choice ever made for an Olympic mascot: the mascot being Quatchi, the Sasquatch? XD I thought that was brilliant, personally.
Also, allowing your parents to make dinner when you make it most of the time isn't a good thing, just so you know. They might throw in some dairy, even though you're lactose-intolerant. Mine seem to be rather forgetful. >.< And I get to pay the price for it. XD

I'd hate to be lactose-intolerant, I love milk and cheese too much. :)
I've had my cartilage pierced a few times, but believe it or not I got bored with it. I currently have two piercings in each ear and my lower lip, left side pierced. I've had the lip piercing for a little over a year now and I just changed to a plastic stud because the metal was irritating my gums. My gums are extra sensitive now that I'm pregnant, so I have to be extra careful with what I put in my mouth.
My week is going pretty well so far, I'll be doing paperwork for my new job and job training this week before I actually start. I'm pretty excited to be working again, I've been unemployed since September and it sucks because now I have to start saving up for baby things.
How is your week so far, Zenith of Emotion?

Hi! I'm new from FB and Gaia, too, and trying to get the hang of posting here (I've always been more of a lurker.)
I agree, milk and cheese are way too good to give up. That would be miserable.
I've never had anything but my lobes pierced, although I'd really like to get a double piercing (I got the original ones when I was little and proceeded to pull on my earrings too much and mess up the holes.)
My day's going okay, I've cleaned a little bit and done my reading. Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do for the rest of my day off since my boyfriend is going to be doing drafting homework all day.
Boy or girl, Jynxy? Do you know yet? :)

Gasp, I have each cartilage pierced two times. I have to change them a lot though so that I don't get bored with the way they look...I was thinking about getting my nose pierced, but I'm worried what happens when you get a cold...It's a strange worry, I know.
I came from gaia too! Actually, I'm still in gaia...but I figured I could broaden my horizon and joined here. I like the detail of the avatars here. And how easy it is to post things...
I was not aware of Canada's mascot...but now that I am, that is the most awesome mascot I've ever heard of. Thank you for enlightening me. =]

I'm sad to say that I do not yet know what I am having and I probably won't find out until I'm about six months or so along. I'm currently only three and a half months pregnant. :)

I still eat them, even if I shouldn't, though I drink lactose-free milk instead of regular skim milk, like I used to...
Mm. I don't think I'll be doing anything more than ear piercings any time soon. It would likely be too painful or too much of a health hazard for me. XD I get sick extremely easily, so that would likely just add to the problems.
Well, I hope your job works out well for you. And congratulations on the pregnancy. :) May it go as well as can be.

Yeah, it's interesting, though I did post my fair share on Gaia, this is still going to take some getting used to, I think.
Ha ha. Yeah. It kinda sucks most of the time, even though I tend to "cheat".
Aww, well, I hope the day went/goes well enough for you for the rest of the day. :)

Ah. I'll likely go with alternating hoops, or if I can find a dragon post (front is the head of the dragon, back in the tail) I'll use that instead.
Yeah, it's a nice change, but Gaia's likely going to stay in my frequented sites anyways... especially since I have a job as a captain of a guild there. >.<
:) You're very welcome, and I'm glad you concur with me. I want a sasquatch as MY mascot now. XD

Thank you very much, Zenith of Emotion. My pregnancy is going very well so far. I haven't put on a whole lot of weight yet, but that should be picking up once I'm in the second trimester.

You're very welcome. :) Be sure to let us know if it's a boy or girl if/when you have them tell you or when you've given birth, should this little thread continue that long. ^-^
Have you started thinking of names for the lucky little one yet? If so, would you mind sharing with the rest of us? I'm sure we'd all like to hear what names you have in mind (and as a bit of personal advice, stay away from "Emily", there are over 200,000 Emily's that have been born in the past decade in the US alone... that's more than enough Emily's for the entire world, don't you think?).
How was your day today? I hope it went well. Mine was fairly dull, and at the moment I'm winding it down by listening to Tony Orlando and Dawn, plus some other oldies, on Pandora. It's a nice change from the country I usually listen too -- good for just chilling around the house.
I had physical education this morning, and we were playing indoor soccer/football, and we weren't supposed to be doing any forceful kicks. The one time someone did do a forceful kick, some poor bugger (a male) got pinged in the crotch and was out for the rest of the period. It was a mix of awkward, horrifying, and downright hilarious. Of course, at seven-thirty in the morning just about anything is hilarious.
A friend just recently linked me to a commercial which is a little humorous, a bit outrageous, and slightly awkward, produced by "AXE" cologne company. It's located here: Clean Your Balls - Axe - Break.com and is basically a commercial based off of allusions to the male genitalia through the use of soccer balls, golf balls, tennis balls, and more. It's incredibly bizarre, but somewhat amusing to watch. Though it is a slightly immature bit of humor. >.<
My politics class went online to find out what area of the United States political spectrum we fall under, and for the most part I ended up in the "leftist libertarian" section of the graphs, which didn't surprise me. What pleased me was that they showed famous peoples and where they were on the graphs, and I was right in-between Gandhi, Nelson Mandella, and the Dalai Lama. Made me feel a bit better about myself in that they were all extremely peaceful, extremely good people. I still have to finish the packet, but it's due eighth period tomorrow and I have two study halls, a lounge, and lunch before politics, so I don't need to worry too much.
I'm looking forward to my club's trip to Barnes and Noble later this week, and am really hoping I won't have to get my allergy shots instead of going. It'd be a bummer if I did. :'(

I will definitely let you guys know when I find out what I'm having. :)
Today I am fifteen weeks, three days pregnant. I had a doctor's appointment today where I heard the baby's heartbeat! It was very exciting, and so far my pregnancy is going very well. My doctor told me that he won't be doing an ultrasound to determine the gender until I'm around twenty-four weeks along, so I still have a while to wait. :( I've never been a particularly patient person, so I guess I'll have to grow some so to speak.
As far as baby names go I've given it a little thought but I am waiting until I know for sure what I am having before I concentrate on looking for a name. Emily is actually one of my favorite names and I was a little saddened in recent years to hear how many parents are using that name. It's becoming a very common name, unfortunately. It's a good thing that I'm more drawn towards names you don't hear very often, such as Virgil and Brigid.
You're having a field trip to Barnes and Noble?? I wish I had field trips like that when I was in high school! Then again we don't have one of those in my area so if my school did have trips like that, it would be to Borders. Still, I wouldn't complain. I'm a regular bibliophile. <3

Well, it's less a fieldtrip and more a spending of the club's funds before the school usurps them again. We spent 920USD on books, DVD's, and a couple word-games. It was a blast! :D
Well, congrats on hearing his/her heartbeat, and hopefully time will move quickly for you so you can find out sooner. :)
Ha ha... I have a list of names I like that I'm going through to divide into "non-popular", "moderately popular", and "popular"... it'll probably keep growing over the years, but that way I could hopefully make things easier... both when choosing character names and for if/when naming a child ever comes about for me.
