i don't know anything about it.
is it good?

The_Crow 09-01-2012 07:48 AM

It's excellent, but I want to see a consensus... I don't want to post something that people won't 'get'...

hummy 09-01-2012 07:52 AM

ah, i get it.

ClockReject 09-01-2012 04:07 PM

Clock only knows of Torchwood and that it has a connection to Doctor Who.

hummy 09-01-2012 04:19 PM

*raises eyebrow*
it does, clockie♥sweetie?

ClockReject 09-01-2012 04:20 PM

Clock is pretty sure it does, hummydear.

Glass 09-04-2012 06:11 AM

It does indeed. It's a spinoff. I'm told there's another one too.

hummy 09-04-2012 06:15 AM

hummy did not know that.
she only gets to see doctor♥who on Publicbroadcastingstation.
hmm, would it be on netflix, do you both think?
*opens up, yet another tab*
hummy is a tabaholic!

Glass 09-04-2012 06:16 AM

The old and new series as well as the movies are on netflix. :) Also torchwood.

hummy 09-04-2012 07:00 AM

thank you, Glass♥,
into the queue they go!

The_Crow 09-04-2012 09:07 AM

Well if enough of you have seen Doctor Who, at least the first half 'old episodes' of the 'new episodes/NuWho/2005+', then you should know who I'm cosplaying:

http://www.menewsha.com/forum/pictur...ictureid=54122

Is that Captain Jack Harkness? Nope. It's The Crow, Commander of Torchwood Four ;)

Guy, girl, or mansonite... looks don't matter. HOWEVER... you really should keep your grades up (says the honour student all throughout hir entire education).

hummy 09-04-2012 02:59 PM

awesome job, Crow♥!

ClockReject 09-04-2012 04:22 PM

Clock only get through half of the first season of Doctor Who.
she just couldn't get into it.
o no

`Kitami 09-05-2012 11:08 PM

Neither could I, Clock, and its sad because I really wanted to. So many of my friends are into it, and I wanted to see what they were on about, you know? :/

ClockReject 09-05-2012 11:12 PM

yes! everyone is so into it.
but then again, Clock never seems to really get into anything that's extremely popular.

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-11-2012 03:50 PM

ClockReject 09-11-2012 04:42 PM

The_Crow 09-12-2012 01:57 PM

Dottie Mae Evans 09-14-2012 06:04 PM

[heart] That's a great cosplay. I usually fail at cosplays. lol So I end up making up my own characters. ^_^;

Maybe I should be female Dale Gribble, but I am not pale. Dx!

Glass 09-16-2012 09:24 PM

Crow: pretty good. :) Not easy to afford all the bits to his outfit. You did a good job.

Clock, and Kita: Everyone is into it, because they think everyone is into it. I mean honestly, half the jokes go right over people's heads a lot of the time. It's like "Comic geeks" who don't know who Steve Ditko is. lol. Just like with any other fandom, there are a lot of fans, and then real die hards, who know the little details and whatnot. Mind you, I'm not one of the latter, but I know a few. XD

hummy 09-17-2012 06:52 AM

awesome avatar, glass♥sweetie!

KameOolong 09-17-2012 07:39 AM

The_Crow: Awesome Vampire Hunter D poster! [:O]

Yeah.. Everything about how people can be judged based on gender and appearance is very lame. A world where people could focus merely on bettering themselves, the lives of others and the world around them instead of focusing on how they look, mating or obtaining material possessions would be amazing.

The_Crow 09-17-2012 11:39 AM

I tend to be a walking encyclopedia for things that I am really into. My memory of detail shocks the hell out people. Even as a child one time I was being quasi-babysat and I was watching Disney's Aladdin, which was my favourite film at the time, and I was reciting the whole film word for word and the adult watching me was in utter awe. I was perhaps 8 years old? I also have a really good memory, the details of my childhood and early schooling, I remember the PUBISHERS of all six of our different textbooks!

Then again, I've always been 'gifted'. In kindergarten I was in the 'advanced' reading group where we were reading at a first grade level. In first grade I was the first first-grader in the history of my school to test into the gifted class so the second and third grade class became the first through third grade class. So in first grade I was reading, learning how the banking system worked (writing cheques, withdrawl slips, deposit slips), and reading at a fourth or so grade level? As a teacher now I have worked in a classroom where it seemed like (no exaggeration) over 50% of the class couldn't read, easily, and I was doing fourth grade work at the time I was their age.

KameOolong: I have yet to make your acquaintance; welcome =)! I actually have two Vampire Hunter D wallscrolls hanging ovver my bed. The one on the left is Meir Link and Charlotte from the film Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. The one on the right is the original artbook worthy artwork of D on his horse, extravagant clothing, and flowing hair. He kicks ass in the films but the original artwork is just... stunning. I still have my old issue of Animerica that featured Vampire Hunter D on the cover.

Additionally, most everybody here shares your sentiments (with very small unique variations). I'm not sure what your gender is. You're not sure what mine is. We got off on the common ground of talking about artwork we both enjoy. Isn't that a better way to meet someone? Also that way neither party is thinking with their genitals, either.

As a credentailed teacher, intelligence is something I treasure.

I apologise for any typographical errors as it is 4:43 and I have yet to be able to fall asleep. Also I dated a British significant other for a bit so some of my spellings are British-English and not typos, just fyi.
