Yeah, but the idea of having something for nine months that's so painful if it goes WELL is just...not a fun one to me.

Then there are the issues of dysphoria and the likelihood that I will have complications - my mother did, her mother did, I don't know any farther back than that but I know my aunt did, and I already have a chronic cough and chronic pain both of cause unknown and have had two grand mal seizures in the past - hello pregnancy phobia.

Which really sucks because I want to have a kid someday. Maybe I can hire a surrogate? I dunno. Adoption is looking most likely.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with adoption. There are kids all over the world that need loving homes. And if you can provide that home that would be amazingly wonderful. I've always said when I have kids I'll have my first one naturally then adopt my second. That way I can make sure I have one of each. Which is what I would really like to have.

There are also those parents who want the kids, but don't have the means to take care of them.

True, there is that as well ^_^

And I think it's very responsible of the parents who don't have the means to take care of a child to give them up for adoption.

If/when we adopt, we're probably going to end up entering an agreement where the biological parents are allowed to visit and get updates. Have them still be part of the family, if they want to be.

I just don't think it's fair that we ask a child to choose, emotionally, between two sets of parents if the biological parents come back into the picture. Why can't they consider both their parents?

that is if the biological parents want to still be a part of it, not many people want to be apart of the kids life if they arn't the main care givers...at least I wouldn't

I would do that too. Though I had a family in my former church, all three kids were adopted. The younger two wanted to find there birth families, when they got older and their mom and dad helped them find their birth families. Though I will say sometimes the person who is giving up the child for adoption will want a closed adoption. So it all just depends on various factors.

Adoption is awesome. I don't want children, but if I did, I would adopt. There are just so many unwanted children in the world. I like the idea of open adoption too. Having five parents sounds so awesome, Stellar! :O
