'S hiding somewhere on the ModTheSims2 forums, I'll see if I can find it. c: If I'm remembering right, the gist of it is that your one Sim is an inmate at an asylum with seven other sims. You aren't allowed to control those other sims at all, furniture and stuff is suppose to be a bare minimum, and you have to reach some certain goal to prove your sim sane and can be released. o 3o That's just what my very faulty memory is telling me, though. I'll see if I can track down the thread.

I'm running a Homeless challenge right now, on my Sims3 game. It's been interesting so far.
I'm still not sure if I like Sims3 better than Sims2. There are many advantages, but I get so mad at the multiple ways that EA has tried to squash user made content and therefore creativity.
I figure I'll give final judgement after the new Nightlife knockoff comes out this fall. It's supposed to re-introduce several elements I really missed, and give extra body sliders. We'll see.
If it doesn't really improve things for me gameplay experience, then I'm very likely to sell the lot of Sims3 disks and go through the hassle of re-installing my entire plastic storage tub of Sims2 things. Man, are there a lot of EPs and Stuff packs. >.>'
edit: Aw. I find a Sims thread, and there's no one to talk to. :(

This thread gets a little lost sometimes. Sorry 'bout that. But I've no excuse other than blind carelessness for losing it. xD;
Another Sims 3 xpack? o_o Already? Man, just how fast can EA push those things out? Well, if it's a Nightlife knock off maybe you'll get vamps. Hopefully. XP

Yeah, there's vamps. And they get bloodlines or something. But they're kind of nerfed. Apparently you have to be friends with and then ask permission to drink another sim's.... 'plasma'. OR you could take the humanitarian way and just drink 'plasma packs'.
But I'm sure the good folks at MTS will get a hack out to fix that silliness.
I'm excited about the high rise apartments, and the rumored extra body sliders. And pianos!

Ugh. :c I certainly hope the fine people over at MTS will hack that into correctness! Plasma and friends indeed. ;c
Pianos? o: Well color me jealous- We poor Sims 2 folk don't get pianos!

And elevators, I think.... but I'm still mad they haven't given us spiral stairs again.
You'd think that after all the stuff they gave us with Sims2 expansions, that they'd realize we want these same things in Sims3. But noooo. They make us wait like they've never made a Sims game before and their fans aren't screaming for things we'd already gotten used to.
I get tired of using building cheats to make mock tiny stairs where the sim just sort of teleports to the next floor, all because they won't give us modular stairs or at LEAST spiral stairs again.

Yeesh, I bet. o_o I imagine that they want to get as much cash from the game as possible by dragging what they know their fans want- spiral stars and the like- over several games. Though you'd think they'd have learned by now that if it takes too long to get what we want, we'll just make CC that more often then not looks better and does what we need. xD
Bwahaha, I finally found a post with the Asylum Challenge rules. c:
Boolprop FightTheAddiction false • View topic - Asylum Challenge Rules
The MTS2 forum post with it is hiding from me. There's actually a whole section on the MST2 forums with challenges. o: But they're forums are weird enough that I haven't been able to find it again.

lol - yeah, I have problems finding specific things at their forums too! I actually have better luck doing a google search for what I want and looking for the MTS results. XD
That Asylum thing looks interestiing, I'll have to give it a try.
And boy howdy are they squeezing money from us. Although I refuse to pay for the extra 'stuff' they have on the main Sims3 site store. I've got... other ways... of getting those. But I did just pay the 20$ for the latest car related Stuff Pack. Something about now my sims can name their cars and be best friends with them. I got it for the 007 themed things. XD
Unfortunately, EA made it VERY hard for us users to custom make things for Sims3. Stuff is being made, but not at the same pace as for 1 or even 2. I stopped making stuff after 1. I just don't want to learn how to use a 3D modeling program.

Yeah, EA doesn't seem to be a fan of custom content. :S Though it's pretty nifty how every time they try to block CC out of Sims 3, the brilliant people at MTS figure out another way to get around it. :3 I wish their stuff packs were only like... five, ten dollars. D: Even fifteen would be fine. But twenty just seems like too much. :s Waay too much.
So. owo Since Halloween's creeping up and all, what would people's opinions on a Halloween contest be? Like something along the lines of build a haunted house/graveyard or design a lot for a ghost story. I'm just trying to get opinions and ideas right now, since I don't really have the funds or the items for a contest. D: But if there's enough interest, I don't mind scrounging up the stuff for some prizes and setting up a contest. c:

It's the spirit that counts, right? ('spirit' is especially important for Halloween!)

Ooh, there's going to be a contest? : D
Is it just building? Could there be a Create-a-Sim contest too? : D

I might participate in a halloweeny contest if I have time. I think the bigwigs are planning on working us extra hard so I'm reluctant to commit to anything. I greatly enjoyed seeing the entries for your last event contest though!

Well, it's been pretty hectic for me this year, I've barely had time for my poor sims. Good thing they won't die if you neglect them XD
I also give a vote for a CAS contest, it makes it a bit more fair to those who aren't the greatest at the building thing.

I think I'm even worse at making sims than building... being fond of the random button and some little tweaks afterward to make my families... But I can try.

They could be separate entry categories, maybe? I use the random button a lot in TS3 - for some reason I have a really hard time making sims that don't have freakishly huge chins otherwise. XD
Has anyone checked out the new(ish) pirate-themed neighborhood in TS3? Barnacle Bay.. Kind of costly, but the clothes and items are cool and it's a pretty neat neighborhood. I love the houses in it.

Kaema; I don't see why there couldn't be a Create-A-Sim as well! C:
Looks like I'll end up dropping money on CIs after all... xD
Belly; Aww, not fun! D: I hope you'll have time to participate!
I'm looking forward to the entries myself. <3 You guys are all so creative. D8 I feel silly in comparison.
... I want that neighborhood. o_o Like so bad. But I'm still lacking in the Sims 3 department, so.
Kage; Hehe, since there's at least two for it, sure. c: If there's a building contest, I see no reason why there shouldn't be a CAS one as well.
Alrighty! So! Two categories for the contest; Building an appropriately themed lot, and Create-A-Sim. I'm thinking that you guys can enter both, but can only place in one. o: To keep things fair, hopefully. Got first place prizes figured out, but nothing else yet. :<

The prizes don't really matter much to me. xD It would be cool enough just to win! lol
But maybe past EIs if they don't cost too much? (: (I have no idea if they cost about the same as a CI.) That would be great if it's a Halloween theme! Especially since I think there won't be any EIs this year.
