Menewshan Simmers: Ghouls, Ghosts and Creepy Old Mansions.
Despite the fact that we've been discussing this almost since the month started, I've only now gotten around to organizing everything. o_o; Whoo. The categories are as follows, and I hope I've got something for everyone.

Create-A-Sim
New addition this time around, since several of you asked for it and I see no reason to exclude it. c:

Go wild and show us whatcha got in the CAS by making the creepiest, most terrifyingly gruesome Sim you can. ;D I'm tentatively allowing Aliens, Vampires, Werewolves and the like. If only because it seems to me like they'd be harder to work with. But go crazy! I absolutely love seeing what you guys can come up with. 8D

And if you aren't feeling very imaginative (or are just lazy like I am), fear not! Perhaps you've heard a particularly chilling ghost story lately. Care to recreate the victims and spooks for us?

Lots
What's the most terrifying Halloween, ghost story or horror movie setting you can think of? Instead of telling me/us, show us. ;D We want to see the most spine chilling Sims houses or community lots you can throw at us.

Similarly to the CAS one above, if you don't feel like making your own terrifying lot, why not recreate one from a favorite ghost story or horror film?

And thirdly, why not make a lot of one of our NPC or Staff's threads? The Town Hall with it's sprawling gardens lovingly looked after by Nalin, and, uh... I think that's the only one described. No biggy, no biggy! Use your imagination. ;D After all, you guys absolutely blew us away with the Phoenix Jubilee entries.

Other Stuff
Everyone can enter both the CAS and building categories. Five entries in each, because you sure as hell aren't going to see *me* stifling Halloween creativity. :'D Since I don't really have prizes this time around (D8) there are no "winners." Instead I'll make a list of all the entries received so people may bask in the awesome that is your creations. 8D I don't have a form made yet, so uh... Just PM me with screenshots of your Lots and Sims, iffen ye please.

As always, CC is allowed. c: I'll check with a mod, and if I'm allowed to compile a list of all the CC used so people can find any they particularly like, I shall do so.

And of course, Sims 1 through 3 are welcomed with open arms. :D

I haven't really decided on a deadline yet. So I'll just say you guys have untiiiiill... November 18th. Just because.

I'll probably quote all this over in the Halloween event forum if I get around to making a post for us there. xD;

Omgyay! I'll be pming with the Simer thing after awhile, just popping in to socialize a lil bit. I have Sims2 cause my computer fails at life and being up to date and I can't play Sims3. ;_;

I am so that the deadline is in Nov.! I'm not at home so I can't get to my Sims for at least another week or so. Phew, thanks Lathrine!

So is there any news on what the prizes are? I'm not too worried about them, like Kaema said, just winning is cool, but I'd like to know.

:cry: My game keeps crashing and I don't know why! I tried fixing it, but only made it worse. Now I've fixed what I fixed, and it's back to just crashing to the desktop randomly as I play. I HAD a really cool graveyard started, but it's gone now. Hopefully I'll be able to get things stable enough to make another one before the deadline.

Unfortunately, there aren't going to be any prizes, Kage. D: I just don't have the funds on or offline to get any. ;w;

Oooh, that always stinks, Jez. D: I'm sorry about your graveyard. Um... try checking your downloads folder with Sims2Pack Clean Installer from MTS2. Sometimes CC conflicts and can kill your game. The Clean Installer can normally tell you which ones could be a problem.
I think. o_o That's how it was explained to me, at least. But it was also MTS2 that told me, and since it manages to be as clear as a bowl of oatmeal at times...

Lathrine: On the plus part, I can play Sims2. I do think I need to get a new graphics card though, my sims often look like they're on a shoddy TV that does the scrolling line thing. Or my game goes black. >_> Which is always fun. It's usually fixable by alt tabbing though. Bleeh.

Kage; Heh, don't worry about it. :D November's turned out to be really busy for me as well (NaNo, play lines, and homework, oh my!) so I totally understand only just finding the time.

Though I doubt it, anyone have any objections if I change the end date to early December or the 31st of December? I managed to completely forget just how busy of a season this is for people when I set the original date. owo

That would be awesome Lathrine, I tried to get it done but I just don't have enough free time lately. Though, If you're going to extend the date, why not extend what it encompasses as well? There are at least three holidays (more if your poly-religious like me) in a row that people could choose from. That might also make people more inclined to put in a submission, after all, who doesn't love this time of year?

Ahaha, good idea, Kage! c: I think we shall do that then as well. Gives people a little more to work with as well.

Deadline date as been extended to December 31st.
And, as per suggestion, the submission options have been extended to include Holiday submissions for the same categories as previously listed. I don't care what winter holiday you celebrate, you're more then welcome to make a Sim or Lot for it. You celebrate Day Of Dancing Under Trees in the Snow? I wanna see those trees, that snow, and the dancing! ;D ... Okay. Bad example. I plead a 1:30 AM brain. But you get what I mean. Submit however many Sims, Lots or both you want. If you feel like making an entire town of Halloween and winter holiday lots and sims, excellent! Just gimme screenies. I'll see about setting up an entries post on the first page.
